Friends.
They're weird,
they help you,
they hurt you,
they love you.
My two friends. They call me strong.
I like it.
They call me tough.
I like it.
They say I have high pain tolerance.
I like it…? No, ***** that.
When they say that, all it brings back is the years where I was beat every day.
They mean well.
But it haunts me,
the fact that I have a high pain tolerance but I grew it.
I didn't have it naturally.
I grew it. Because I was beaten to the point where
I
COULDN'T
FEEL
ANYMORE.
That's what happens.
You just get beat enough to the point where you don't feel it anymore.
This can’t happen anymore.
We need to end it.
This can't happen anymore.
February 14th 2025,
The yearly anniversary of he who failed to fall,
To the crushing hand of prosecution.
The day, a symbol of love,
Congratulations Mr. Douglass,
That's what we got.
Happy birthday to a spirit of liberty,
And cheers to equal freedoms.
Fredrick Douglass was one of the most important men to ever grace America. His words and actions were essential to the battle for black equality. But not only did he strive to make this world a better place, he wrote too. My favorite poem by him is "Liberty."
Come and awaken from slumber and let the breeze kissed leaves speak,
In ancient languages, whispers of ages of bygone days,
Hear the story of the natural realm, fantasy tales unfold,
Greet the new day as the first to tread upon its path.

Come, to the fields of paradise, it awaits the next one frolicking,
Untouched beaches and ocean waters remain unexplored,
Creatures of wonder and beauty dwell in distant lands,
The time has come, embrace the unknown fall with bravery.

Come and join me now, savor the wine of life, toast and cheer,
Rush towards the unknown, guided by blind faith,
Create your own destiny until the end of time,
Take flight with me and soar above the clouds, touch the sky,

Come, conquer darkness with reckless abandon,
Let it draw strength from our unknown roads,
Meet me where land meets sea, where the tide conveys its secret knowledge,
The answer to life's mysteries lies in fleeting moments, be fearless.

Come, where curious creatures reside under the canopy in rest,
Etched in the pages of a lover's gaze, offer the crimson rose,
Return to the time of youth, echo in laughter once again,
Run and dance without care, build a house in a tree.

Come to a home forged through bonds of friendship, grace, and peace,
Write a melody that only we can truly understand,
A song in tune with the spirit of rebirth and the enlightened,
Live, taste and see that it is good, now is the time, experience your worth.

Did Eve truly fall to temptation?
Or was Adam the source of manipulation?
Tilting the tale, shifting the blame,
A narrative forged to shield his name.

Was it Adam who conjured the snake?
A plot to see Eve’s freedom break?
Bound to home, she is confined,
A life of serving cruelly designed.

She serves him meals, her dreams erased,
She is subdued, her purpose displaced.
Her light dimmed, her laughter restrained,
A life once hers, now cruelly chained.

Was there truly a serpent’s hiss?
Or Adam’s scheme beneath all this?
Will he repent, will truth ever prevail,
Or will his story forever be under a dark veil?

Will Eve ever find her own way,
Or live in Adam’s shadow, day by day?
Confined is her will, but not her desires.
With enough will, she will burn bright like fire.
She is a phoenix, born from its ashes
She will definitely be free from Adam’s latches.

He voice will be heard, her truth will be shared
She will re-write history, her presence declared
She will have it all that she had left
But will her soul still feel bereft?

If
If I could reply,
without the pain.

If I were bold,
to break these chains.

It would be as,
If I could fly,
in heaven sky,
to stop time’s sigh.
We all wish heaven, don't we?
This is an ode to freedom
To be free of you finally
Means I am free from the
Risk of an orange jumpsuit
For I am free from all the
Hate and anger
That was consuming me
Like Ebola!
This guy drove me nuts
One lesson you can learn now,
Is nothing in life is free.
It takes many nights of tears,
To celebrate days of joy.
And it'll take many night falls,
Before the sun shines again.
So don't waste what you have,
Lest you regret not having it.
The bread tastes better when you worked to buy it.
Are we free anymore? I’ve asked myself lately,
Sure, it seems so, but a few things are shady,
Well, more than a few; in fact most of our lives
Are controlled and well-governed like dogs kept on lines.

Last week my own neighbor was caught and arrested
For owning plants curing her cancer, depression,
Science speaks truth but the Law doesn’t mind
Their care is your sentence, not the healing inside.

We’re ruled by fear, I’ve come to conclude
It’s limiting consciousness, limiting mood
Forced to pay off all those bills in the mail
Or they’ll haul you away to community jail.

It’s not always this way—look at it like this,
We do have a large sum of freedom as kids,
We can eat, speak, dress, and play how we please
Before the real world arrives, subjugating this ease.

“Get good grades in school, be quiet, and listen,
Better cut the tomfoolery or end up in prison,
Repent all your sins or you can’t go to Heaven”
...Are drilled in our heads by the time we reach seven.

Yes, it is fear; now much clearer to me,
Yet sadly too subtle for the masses to see,
Some of us hope that things will get better,
So we dogs may finally stray from our tether.

I return a hero,
but the victory
is buried in my skin—
cold sweat,
thick as blood,
as a grave.

3:47 AM,
The door creaks open,
the old hinges groaning—
boots pounding closer,
each step like a drumbeat,
bringing a cold shiver
that claws down my spine.

Then—
silence.

A scream cuts the night,
the daughter,
the mother,
they want me—
drag me back
to that blood-soaked hell,
where nothing survives,
where life is torn apart.

Warplanes split the sky,
tanks rumble in my chest—
the taste of rust,
the heat of gunfire,
the smell of flesh burning,
of metal tearing through bone.

l open my eyes,
and I'm surrounded—
the bodies of my brothers,
their faces smashed into the earth,
eyes wide,
mouths frozen in screams.
The stench is choking,
the blood thick,
pooling like a dark sea around us.

The Nazis—
they don't stop—
shooting the fallen
to make sure no one rises.
I feel the shot in my gut,
but I'm still here—
I wait my turn.

I close my eyes.

And then—
l open them.
Still here.
4:01 AM.
I survived.
Barely.
My heart goes out to anyone who has faced this kind of pain. You are not alone. The weight you carry is real, but survival is strength. Healing takes time, and though it may feel far off, it is possible. You matter. Keep moving forward, even if just a step at a time. You are not defined by your scars.

Look how free you are,
Whilst im stuck here,
Flap your wings,
Far,far away.

Be the freedom im unable to dream of,
Fly over the dark seas
The golden deadly deserts
The tropical fearful forests

Care for no-ones opinions
Do as you please
Leave for days on end
With no one waiting, for you home.

Moon and sun
Land and ocean
Black and white
Thats what we are.

Wait for your end,
Your deadly demise;

Atleast you lived your life full
Whilst mine, is just a bunch of bull.
