If you can't hear nature's song playing the music of love
Each new day, with each new dawn, new sunrise and a fresh
Moon smile,
Go back to sleep!

If you can't make your heart a Mecca for the freedom seekers,
Your spirit a temple for the suffering souls,
And your mind a spring well of innovative ideas,
Go back to sleep!

If you can't hear the cry of Amal Hussein, the iconic figure of the starving Yemeni child as she was shedding her last tear, taking her last breath, and Whispering her last prayer,
Go back to sleep!

If you can't spare a holy dish to fill empty stomachs,
If you can't offer a kind word to help soothe other’s pain,
And color their lives with the rainbow hues of hope and happiness,
Go back to sleep!

If you can't be the soul of your place, a tsunami of positive change, the Spring of humanity that will blossom
With a new future full of hope, love and inspiration,
Go back to sleep!

Under the garment of winter,
I see sunshine,
New dawn,
Crocus flowers,
Melodious birds,
And a hint of spring breezes.

Waiting to be awakened by
An act of kindness,
A murmur of prayer,
An innovative idea,
The song of life,
And the whisper of love.

Astonish the world with humanity.
Amaze it with acts of kindness.
Stun it with creativity.
Shake it with exceptional ideas.
Bewilder it with compassion.
Astound it with forgiveness.
Reveal to it the best of being.
Surprise it with a soft heart.
Impress it with generosity.
Light it up with optimism.
Guard it against abuse and injustices.

Stop thinking small.
Within yourself dwells all the secrets of the universe.
Transforming the world is at the very finger tips of your creativity.

Stop thinking small.
Within your heart lies the road map to love.
You hold a sacred mission, a mission of awakening one soul at a time.

Stop thinking small.
The eyes of the suffering people are gazing
In your direction, longing for a glimpse of hope.

Stop thinking small.
Do you want to be remembered as just another number?
Let your testament ring as an icon of inspiration, a catalyst for change.

Stop thinking small.
Rise up, live up to your potential, and
Start conducting the orchestra of the universe.

I will meet you out in the place,
Where the moon has touched the lips of the sun with a sweet kiss!

I will meet you out in the place,
Where the dawn has greeted the night with a shining smile!

I will meet you out in the place,
Where darkness and light have united to become one entity!

I will meet you out in the place,
Where the ocean’s waves have caressed the clouds.

I will meet you out in the place,
Where joy has embraced sorrows with open arms.

I will meet you out in the place,
Where silence has cried out, and voices are subdued!

I will meet you out in the place,
Where the raindrops have danced with the snowflakes.

I will meet you out in the place,
Where death has celebrated life by donning the garb of eternity.

I will meet you out in a place
Where our two bodies soar high, becoming one soul with a sweet song and a sacred prayer!

I hope you know, I cherish our fond memories together, preserving them in my heart.
All that I shared with you about my childhood dreams, my first love,
The songs I serenaded you with melodies celebrating nature,
Our endless nights together admiring the stars dancing around the full moon!

I remember how tall you stood. You were so strong,
Like Lebanon’s mountains, amidst our land’s ancient ruins.
Facing the Israeli occupation, you stood with so much pride.
I remember how we rejoiced with family and neighbors during the sweet liberation!

My Dad planted you with his hands, he nurtured you with his love and sweat.
He was so strong and now times have changed him:
He’s grown older, thinner, more fragile, his speech is slurred.
The eyes that once held thousands of untold stories are now dim!

You are part of God’s oath, Noah’s mission with the Ark.
You are a sacred plant, a symbol of love, life, peace, friendship,
And generations of culture passed down.
Your roots run so deep in my Dad’s heart and mind.

I implore you old friend, lighten up my Dad’s golden age with your kind heart,
Lend him support in taking more steps towards life,
Keep his spirit alive so he can continue singing the song of a new life, and
Give him the strength to swing on the porch, to admire you again for each new day and pristine sunrise.

My apologies:
To the sun, for not joining her in her sacred daily prayers of selfless Giving.
To the roses in my garden, for not watering them on a hot summer day.
To the birds, for not participating in their daily celebration of life.

My apologies:
To the complete stranger, for not greeting him with a warm smile.
To the underprivileged person, for not treating him with humanity.
To a suffering soul, for not shedding a tear or a extending a helping hand.

My apologies:
To my neighbors, for not embracing their sorrows and joys.
To my friends and loved ones, for not joining with them in more laughter.
To my wife and kids, for being absent during some of their painful and Blissful occasions.

Let me be:
The sweet smile on your face,
The rainbow colors in your eyes,
And the tsunami of your desires.

Let me be:
The anthem of happiness on your lips,
The eternal imprints of your world,
And the flame to your candle of peace and joy.

Let me be:
The inspiring idea in your mind,
The carved letters of your soul,
And the river of love in your veins.
