For the people I have known
From my past to present, whom I call my own
Am I alive in their thoughts
Or just a buried memory, I hope not!

I always think of the one's I've met
The one's that are not easy to forget
These are the people who are now hard to get
Busy with their lives, I would most probably bet!

Yet, here I pen my write
Of these wonderful people that tagged along
Life was almost like a movie song
Until I was left alone to fight!

Walking alone on the rough paths
I often wandered about others
With whom I felt, now apart
In my own dark world, am going  end to start!

Everyday seems same,
As if the Gods planned a game
Betting on me, aiming at me
I do not utter nor do I blame!

Years have passed, am not the same anymore
Once a cheerful, now sitting a bore
With every part of my body full of aches and sore
My heart ripped off till the core!

I am alive, I live for each day
With open and close eyes, I usually stare
The paths on which I walk today
Maybe it's just a challenge to bare!

Tears do fall like rain
When no one is around to feel my pain
Each day my brain plups to stress and strain
Yet, I bury my sorrows and all my pains!

Now I rest my pen here
As tonight seems a night to sleeplessly stare
Creepy thoughts crawl as fear
Light at the end of the tunnel, in my sense...is rare!

Demur nature's forces and prehend a leaf
The wind is an experienced pitcher and a fan, may I ask are you?
As the leaf drifts in the draught, catch this one, we'll have a laugh over a draught
The dimensions and weight of the frond will have your senses to and thro'
Importance of equanimity is essential, do not blink, and for goodness sake do not hit that tree
A few numerous attempts to catch that elusive bract, you're out of breath
However, even though nature's force is cunning, she'll give your breath back
Now the leaf is at knee level, baseball slide, football tackle, or hockey dive, ready your hands
The stiple's erratic motion is bewildering as the tension of the chance arise's
And just as nature and yourself breath out the prehend fall's in the pond with a graceful landing
I have never caught a leaf on purpose, have you?

Respect is earned and not given
Don't expect an attendance ribbon
No petty compliments, no kind lies
Only truth seen through different eyes

We may be harsh, we don't mince words
We value truth even when it hurts
To plant roses we must break the earth
Challenges let us prove our worth

The wind howls hard in the air,
My hair brushes against my face,
Thoughts of yesteryear float in my mind,
A lost chance or perhaps an easier escape I convince myself.

Each step I take the mud sways with me,
We dance to the sound of gusts,
Neither wanting to give way both earnest in our trying,
Not today I shout aloud, maybe tomorrow you’ll trip me.

This journey we take is fraught with challenge,
Blown one way then the other,
Constantly seeking surer footing not wanting to fall,
Sometimes the easiest thing is to let go and let yourself collapse.

But I’m no quitter,
Neither are you,
Together we’ll keep plodding along,
Soon we’ll find a surer path again and the sun will shine down upon us.

I stand in the ashes,
All has gone to waste,

Let us rise from the pain of the lashes,
So long my lonely drunken daze

For the faint cries of all,
Drowns, when it starts the race.

Let the world burn,
As an orange psychopath reigns,

Here's a cup, towards the world's end, raised.
Inspired by the chaos happening in our lives these days. I wrote this while drinking coffee, so read with caution.

Silence silence, in the eerie of the night,
Long have I stood, forever burning bright,

Let the echoes dance, and rejoice,
As we falter to the dark, paranoid,

We feel weak, looking to fall,
Why has the ice melted? Why at all?

As we struggle to fight the shadows,
all sinners and saints behold,

We look for a reason, a path,
Yet the fight goes berserk,

A Child brings forth a dream,
Another then begs: "no, don't scream!"

Yet all behold, the hand on his chest,
As the deadman's heart, goes cold...
Have you ever been called a deadman? Will, this is a small dedication to you!

So many times, did death look me in the eyes,
I've stood amidst the dark and the unborn,
Wailing, constantly fading,

Yet the lonely night, shines across the moon
And then from ashes, we rise, as if we've just begun,
Though this weighs differently,

Yet I've endured the worst,
The solitude of it all,
I've had the best, and the worst.

Yet the light shines upon my soul,
Signaling the beginning of a new great war,

Oh mystified darkness, hear me roar,
Their cries, I take upon my shoulders,
And to you, I raise an empty glass,

Then whisper to you...
I am the end. Are you yet to feel remorse?
A person stood in utter darkness, staring at the moon. Fallen, they rise again.

Stand united, fall divided.
Arise to show you
can stand alone.
There are some things that we can only do alone. There's no shame in that. When the going gets tough, prove that you have the strength to stand alone

You said you wanted to play a round of Sorry,
but that you didn't know the game,
instead you used Pictionary to draw for me,
but every scribbled messaged looked the same.

You said you related to Snakes and Ladders,
I guess because you like to go up and down.
You hope that I fall off and my leg shatters,
and the snakes eat me on the ground.

So go on and roll the dice, pretend to take a chance,
so go on and play nice, I know you've mastered that dance.
We don't need anyone else to play,
the two of us can share the blame.
So what do you say? Let's play another board game.

You suggested next Monopoly, your greed would help you win,
I think you just wanted to beat me, then wanted to rub it in.
I asked if you liked Risk, though strategy was never my strength,
your "no" came out very brisk, you never liked games of length.

You said you would love a round of Battleship,
I guess so you could shoot and bring me down,
watching me sink within my crypt,
right until I reached the ground.

So go on and roll the dice, pretend to take a chance,
we can play the same one twice, you'll keep your winning stance.
We can do it all your way, rules can keep things too tame,
so what do you say? Let's play another board game.

As a child your favourite game was Trouble,
but not because you're a living cliche,
you claim you liked to pop the bubble,
hoping each time it would break away.
