There once was a paradise,
It shifted the paradim,
And then came a perasite,
It altered and paralyzed,

Hope turned to ash,
As they used thorns to stab,

The lonley gaze of the moon then pondered:
Is this, truly what you desire?

And so darkness ruled for a while,
As the light's dazzle dimmed,
But pretenders, liars and betrayers all rile,
As the hand of justice comes for them,

We do unto others, what others do unto us,
So life ruled, with a golden fist of truth,
Be used, abused, confused, difused and then refused,
As the ashes of that paradise in your mouth turns sour.

I am the Bird of Hermes,
I devoured my own wings,
And that is how I keep myself tamed.

Like a dark ghost you haunt me,
Wherever I go, your memories stalk me,

You think you knew me,
But the reality is far from the fantasy,

You have just seen the worst in me,
How would you look at me now?
A piller of strength,

One, with dangerous potential,
in the end, it's all sequential

Part of the tragedy is that life is unforgetful,
So strong that others fear my potential,

So dark and timid, yet so calm it offsets,
the storm that goes where I go,

To the point where I have to bite my wings,
And stop myself from soaring,
Cause this is not the story of Icarus,
But of the Fallen Bird that outgrew the master,

Yes, I am the Bird of Hermes,
And I devoured my own wings,
So that I remain tamed.
For all those broken souls who have found healing, but cannot help think of the dark past that shaped them.

Hello Rose, I longed to feel you,
Love is a curious thing,

He says he loves the flower,
but he plucks it, out of its roots he takes it,
Then he places it in an empty vase,
Pouring the waters of life on a day to day base,

But they say the wildest flowers have the most thorns,
I felt the bites and the things, into my skin morph,

I paused, and cried with my face beneath the sands,
"If that is the price I have to pay,
Then as God as my witness, I have no qualms"
This is all I'll ever be, a sacrificial lamb,

They say plants don't scream when they die,
Your tears glistened deep where they were,
But the sound I heard wasn't that,

It was the fact that perhaps the moment in fact,
That there our love died and didn't remain intact,
Where doubt filled me, and you, I couldn't outlast,

I broke the walls, I tried to,
But in the end, the higher the climb,
The harder I fell,

I don't blame you for what you did to me honey,
Because even now, I cherish every one of your thorns,
Life isn't a fairytale, I've had ones of my own,

So let me be the one to say this:
If you leave, be wild and free,
And if you again choose me,
then I kiss the hands that killed me,
And may from the ashes it resurrects me.

Because Rose, you don't deserve a second glance,
You are a treasure, around you I felt I wanted to dance.

I will always be a monster.

Life sentences you harshly of an existence without clarity,
Without rarity, and with an all-encompassing scrutiny.

What becomes of a man who was blessed by the light,
Only to learn that his shadow grew far bigger?

What becomes of a beast that was tamed, a bird of hermes,
What of the heart that was shattered on its day?

Defeated, unbecoming and undeserving of love,
That is what a monster eventually becomes,

If I were to shout about the calamities,
Empires would line up to deny the atrocities,
Proving once and for all that it all fell under liabilities,

For when a monster begets a conscious,
It tears his soul apart,
Yet only those who revel in darkness,
Can truly cast it aside,

And when I shout from the mountain tops:
Do you not see what I've done?
Do you not see that it is I who suffers?

The light whispers: what of me and my tale?
Why is it that I see you moving like a snail?

To which the darkness responds: I cannot change after all,
If after moving mountains and worlds you believe so,
If after all that I've endured and sacrificed,
If after all this time, it was you I hurt the most,

Then it is true. I will always be a monster.
To anyone who feels combated and wronged, to all who are trapped within a sorry past and hoping for a light to come.

Never have I seen one as generous,
Nor one so abandoned as you in your darkest hours,

Never seen someone as noble as you,
Oh helper and hope of the lonely,
Where are you?

Where has your Light gone?

The sparks through which you guided us all,
The light that tore away the dark of our souls,

Your supreme sacrifices to which now I long,

My heart belongs only to you,
You taught me love and duty,

Then persisted that I remain humble,
One so pure, without, I could never be whole.
Wrote this last night just before dawn. Hope you like it.

They say that upon someone's last wish,
Darkness caresses and prolongs,
Where once was Light, has now gone to waste,
My heart bleeds and for justice longs,

Monsters are shattered by swords,
Look towards the coming dawn,
They say a beast flanks his tail,
As he has your heart gnawed,

None may rise to the challenge,
Few remain of those heroes of old,
Now death stalks the lands,
Yet within darkness it is gone,

So wail and rest your head on my shoulders,
As I now venture into the night,
For without darkness, light cannot be reborn.
I wrote this on a whim, I've been reading lots of vampire myths and legends and came up with this poem.

I stand in the ashes,
All has gone to waste,

Let us rise from the pain of the lashes,
So long my lonely drunken daze

For the faint cries of all,
Drowns, when it starts the race.

Let the world burn,
As an orange psychopath reigns,

Here's a cup, towards the world's end, raised.
Inspired by the chaos happening in our lives these days. I wrote this while drinking coffee, so read with caution.
