What I Feel Sep 2017
Lord, raise my hands and guide my feet,
let me another pathway meet.
Conceal my pain and break my fast,
Lord, light the dark that eats my past.
And when I trip, Lord, help me stand;
pray, hold me in your loving hand.
Have mercy on my faithless heart
and show me kindness as I start
to walk the way you've made for me;
release my chains, Lord, set me free.
Recently, I have felt a compelling urge to change and improve my life. I feel an optimism that was never there before, and a determination to see my journey through, no matter what demons may come my way.
As he walked out the door
I took a deep breath
It was the end
But it was also the beginning
A fresh start
So to say
And I have the power
To do with it
Whatever I want

We are born.
We die.
We say hello.
We say good-bye.

Our story has a beginning.
Our story has an end.
We have our family.
We have a best friend.

We may have a short life.
We may have a long span.
We go on dates.
We find a wife or a husband.

We get a job.
We have money to spend.
We have time with each other.
We have children.

We continue our lives.
We grow old.
When our lives are over...
These are the stories we told.
Life.

The world is a blur below me.
Green of every shade acts like a carpet.
Concrete veins connect the modern world.
We are clouds now.
No longer men, we are now more angels than our human selves.
In the distance, a thin blue line behind me.

We are leaving behind all we knew.
This plane is destined for something new.
Crossing the Atlantic, we are to be born again.
All that was is becoming smaller and smaller now.

Soon, feet will be freshly placed where few have dared to go.
Far from a burden, this is more like a revelation.
What encompassed the thin blue line is a world away.

There is an old concept
A Wives' Tale some say
That in minds has been kept
And passed on to this day:

*The world has zero net
Each life has the same
Some luck in beginning
Some good in the end
Whether spread out thin
Or gathered at once
Each person holds within
A set amount of luck
For those who face hardships
Early on in their life
By the time that they're old
They'll be free from strife
And for those who live joyful
When they are still small
Will find that the end
Isn't pleasant at all
And for those with a tad
Bit more luck than the rest
Their life will be even
Awakening to rest
With small hardships spread out
From day one to the end
But ultimately we all
Have set amounts of good fortune
From birth until death
We each get our portion
Net Definition:  Remaining after deduction of all charges, outlay, or loss.

Even though my vision aren't clear as before
But when it comes to you, I can see you clearly for sure

As my man I can see from afar
I could also say that I am looking onto a star

I wonder what you are thinking
The way you look at me since the beginning

If only I can have the chance
Seeing myself through your eyes

In that sense I could understand
**That you can or can't be my man
If only I can see myself through your eyes and feel what you feel through your heart.
all for you Aug 2017
tangled up with you
and i forget
where i begin
and you end

Let me whisper those sweet words that held together the shattering glass you think you’ve become.
I know that through their utterance you will finally feel your heart beating to the rhythm of our love.
I want our long late-night conversations and phone calls to come to life again.
Because I miss hearing your voice on Wednesday afternoons and the joy in your sporadic bursts of laughter.
Sometimes you feel as if you’re running away from the constant pang of unworthiness that your heartbeat has become.
The world has made you feel like an abandoned church, but in my eyes, you’ll always be a cathedral.
I just wish you’d stop running away from the fear of finding something so genuine and just run into my arms.
I want the chance to breathe love down your spine; I want to be with you until the love runs out.
In a world ravaged by cold wars, our love and happiness is what we should be constantly fighting for.
Life will bend and stretch the both of us into painful shapes, but I know that we will eventually be okay.
During cold winter nights and warm summer mornings, I long to have the presence of your body next to me.
I know that we didn’t come this far, to only come this far.
Based on Neo Madime's poem titled, "Start Over Perhaps?"

My heart still says that you're the one.

Rebel Heart Aug 2017
Meeting you was a breath of fresh air
A new beginning
And a chance to forget the past

Little did I know our time was limited
The clock ticking
The sands escaping every moment in our hourglass
You never know when the person you meet might disappear, so hold them close and hold them tight and the longer they'll last...
(I miss you my one and only forever best friend and I'm crying just thinking about you)... ~BM
