There must have been a morning

That followed the first night

A newly minted dawning

And a step into the light

A creature on a hilltop

Noticing the glow

A spark of bright divinity

Happening below

Wide eyes that gazed with wonder

As darkness turned to flame

At Heaven ripped asunder

Did they even have a name?

I wish that I had been there

To bathe in that first light

The sky all dipped in glory

Now that would be a sight

Everything I see now is like a dream
And as colors began to fade
Their souls started to merge
as what autumn and winter did
Slowly creating a wonderful moment
A beautiful image
Like a rainbow after the rain

When did I start to change?
I'm so different now
Compared to who I was before
My emotions did allow

Nothing stays the same
Clouds can change the sky
Like a storm on a sunny day
Changes in a blink of an eye

Some changes are beautiful
Nature shows us why
A caterpillar in a cacoon
Emerges a delicate butterfly

Other changes are troubling
Those that happened to me
One moment I'll be fine
The next I'll be on my knees

Pain, loneliness, uncertainty
All pulled from within
Just a few of many
Change is where it begins

That say it's a choice
For me that's a lie
Because if I had a choice
I'd changed into a butterfly

No proof needed, said God.
Just have faith, said God.
God is never late, always on time.
Said everybody!

But I'm here waiting,
for a very long time.
Waiting for the beginning
the beginning of the end
from all this madness!

All the hustle and rustle
I find it chaotic.

Said God created,
all of this.
Well what a wonderful thing to do,
bet he finds amusing in all our misery.

This is some God's work,
and nobody can run from it!

God are you enjoying this?
Watching us eat each other!
This diabolic situation you put us in,
Where the **** are you! I wonder.
I'm not a religious person but this poem is for all the blind religious people!
Please be offended!! ;)

Empty streets in the cold of night,
An evening not so much as autumnal as it is of winter.
The roads, lined with little pinpricks of light
that seem to go on for miles, and miles,
without a beginning nor an end.
How does one differentiate a starting and a finishing point?
The laws of physics dictate
that displacement be calculated by the distance one has traveled
from their initial point of motion.
If I have traveled far and wide,
and stepped into the same footprints that I made when I first left,
I'd have come full circle;
my displacement would be nil.
Would it have been better to have been away, exerted all that effort, have gone through all the *****, and glamour,
and excruciating moments of boredom and nothingness
that life had to offer, just to come back to the same spot I started?
Or would it have been better to just stay in place,
mum and silent, with the world passing me by,
like streetlights in the road,
illuminating the way like signposts,
to the end for some, to the beginning for others,
but always -- always -- just a rock in the stream?

Like the wave, she moved
Through harsh rocks that speak
Crescent light sparkled above
Only pastel...were the meek
And then a setting sun creaked in
Languid in its hue
Journeying foward they moved
Once again, anew

We are two hearts
unafraid of the winter days,
For ours is an Autumn Love,
a new beginning,
we happily embrace.
Though the leaves have changed
and soon will fall,
Our Autumn Love turned fiery red
and yellow gold.
The warmth of our love,
so hopeful and new.
Like autumn, bright and colorful.
And as we begin to feel
the bite of the autumn air,
That signals that the harsh winter
is just around the corner,
We held hands and buried our fears
deep down the ground
beneath the fallen leaves.
We now carry within us the magic,
the promise of a new and vibrant love.
Forgiveness and love,
Love and forgiveness.
And I’m so glad, our hearts
found our way back home,
We’re just people,
We are people, beautiful in our fall.

In a mysterious new world
she wanders, confused.
Not yet understanding
all the fine print.

She speaks in a foreign tongue
but smiles brightly
as if nothing could ever
take her from the stars.
For my adorable friend Nahir.

I keep chasing lightning
Trying to catch it, lock it in a bottle
but when I do the bottle cracks
and I’m left empty-handed

Maybe I just don’t have what it takes
Maybe it’s not meant to be
Maybe I don’t know what I really want
Maybe I should let the passion wash away

I keep trying to start over with you
You say I need independence
The decisions should be mine
You say, “Maybe you need love too”
And I realize I don’t think I could take it if you walk away
But there ain’t nothing to do
And I should let it go

I keep trying to start over with me
Maybe I should listen
Get some medicine
Make it pink, I’ll swallow it
But would I be me?
And would you still love me?
And will the sadness go away, or will I just be numb to it?

Lightning brings thunder
Lightning brings grey storms
Why can’t you love me like lightning?
The way I love you
Because I keep losing track of you
And I, I don’t want to listen
Because I keep losing touch with you
And you, you don’t want to listen

I keep chasing lightning
Trying to catch it, lock it in a bottle
but when I do the bottle cracks
and I’m left empty-handed
On the front steps of my mighty mouth.
And with the opening of my Ancient Smile.
Armored in Forever LOVE.
I give to all creation.
To humanity's cause.
The comforting smile of the ages.
Now adorning this moment's keep.
The Cosmic Smile mirrored in the return
of this Cosmic Version of Me.
