The mix of life.
For most,
you don't get what you want without feeling anxious, nervous,
and excited.
These feelings
help make the achievement
of what you want
even sweeter.
Reach for the stars;
They can be had,
But only the long way ‘round,
Through time or trials,
And in the early morning,
When the last of them were fading,
I reached out,
And fell just short;
There was no Heavenly hand
To cushion my Fall,
Just the same dream of impact
That Lucifer himself
Must have invented
When someone,
More subtle
Than the other beasts
Of the Garden called Paradise
Whispered to him –
“Reach for the stars;
They can be had.”

I know not what it is of which you speak
When you do speak of the impossible,
For with every passing day I seek
To push myself whenever possible.
Things I thought were impossible before
I subsequently went on to achieve,
And know I am capable of much more
If only in myself I can believe.
How can anybody possibly know
What in the future might be possible?
For with each day we develop and grow
Do we not redefine our potential?
Each new day brings new opportunities,
Offering endless possibilities.

Here’s a new form of Clerihew,
For Andy Murray who
Won twice at Wimbledon:
The fun has only just begun.

Feel free to mourn me when I’m gone,
When I will not be back again.
It’s natural to grieve at death
For those who miss you so, I know.

But don’t forget to celebrate my life
And all I’ve done on this fair earth.
Be full of joy about these things:
Immortalise me for my deeds.

I hope to live for many a long year:
If possible cheat Death immortally,
Perhaps by going somewhere safe
From the Grim Reaper’s deadly scythe.

I hope for many table tennis wins
And trending poems, before I leave this mortal coil.
Iambic rhythms throughout cyber space,
Free verse expressing a greater vision.

I’ve planned ahead by writing this,
And might have jumped the gun maybe.
But when you read this out perhaps,
I might by now be Free.

The most important things in life are often those we have to choose from at critical times.  They very often represent and determine the course our life will take and to what extent we have in controlling or shaping it.  With whatever choice we make, opportunities arise and by making the most of these we realise the relative benefits to be gained or otherwise.  Through our committment and willingness to achieve a goal, irrespective of what obstacles there may be or we come across, we move forward and progress is made in our endeavour.  If the goal is something we have set our mind and heart on whatever setbacks or obstacles are encountered should then be taken to be the hurdles to overcome.
By repeated experience we learn the necessary disciplines with which to train or involve our mind and body to reach our goal. When we recognise and forego or sacrifice certain habits that are not conducive to our overall progress we release more energy by which to accomplish our end.  By sustained right effort we put in motion the train of events that will bring about the right results, but we should not be too attached to the fruits thereof.  Too much attachment is a cause of blindness, disappointment and suffering.  However with the right mental attitudes including positive thinking and actions we should learn from and leave behind past failures by always striving onwards to our desired objective or set goal.
The best way to achieve this end is to include in some way the benefit and good of all those concerned whether they be friend or otherwise which will not be easy but will exhibit a spirit of high ethical standards and character and contribute to endearing oneself to others.

With her aims big and hopes high, She watched all dreams with open eyes.

Her life has always been a miserable one, But her dedication made her a strong woman.
By overcoming all the hurdles and all the toil,She made her way to the heights.
With her Aims big and Hopes high, She watched dreams with open eyes.

Her life was dark, Dull and a despondent, But she made it bright like Summer's sky.
Suffered all the hurricanes of the life, But eventually got beautiful rain as her prize.
With her Aims big and Hopes high, She watched dreams with open eyes.

All those Agonize days and sleepless nights, made her strong Instead of Breaking Her psyche.
With her Aims big and Hopes high, She watched dreams with open eyes.
Recently i met a woman whose story insepired me alot. She did suffered alot during her early phase but eventually turned out to be a successful lady. This poem is for her who achieved her dreams without the support of anyone.

Trying to hold on,
focus and not miss a thing.
Hours, minutes, seconds gone,
not aware of the starting spring.

Back straight,
eyes focused on the screen.
Reaching for a good grade,
And eventually my career dream.

But sometimes I can't be strong,
than I need someone to hold on.
Be surrounded by arms,
and a heart that warms.
The purpose of life is not to live.
It is to find an interesting way to die.
When you ask why over and over, this is the answer you get.
There is no glory in bloodshed
No honor is death and decay
But in a little town near Georgia
From away from this bloodied land

A girl by the name of Linda
Has my son in her arms
And a hand on her hip
And planting little vinca's

Is waiting for me.

There is no glory in bloodshed
No honor in death and decay
But my husband is waiting for me
In Petticoat, Maine.

And even though we fought before I left
He's expecting me home
A kiss
And for my head on his chest

There is no glory in bloodshed
No glory in death and decay
But I'd give my very life for you
For I Have grown to love living
In the US of A
Dedicated to Dad
