"Seed Hoof"

the seed hoof gallops quick and a far way away
the print of it
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
Genetic thoughts and dreams?
Seems to me these beams
Have double helix schemes
Written all over them      themes
Of we unravel and ravel up skeins
Of id subceived and born to scenes
Serene or mean or in-between
Base mean of plodding      full sheen of joy
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
Self-dead multitudes in time
       seen but subseen
Folds captive seems of mind.

Beings in a mouse house we peer
       the mansion, error
Other than, and fear.

The place behind the eyes

"Selfish Pain"

To train the slaves without their knowledge to
Toil with strenuous intent, a worthy
Task for many a stout capitalist.
To cause a continuous increase in
The seeking population through shaping
Their very souls to fear the wrath of god
If they in lifted joy should copulate
Or please outside archaic man made laws
And reproductive goals, a worthy task
For many who crave the mind control of
Religious power to mold a world which
Caters to their selfish pain filled hearts.

"Sensory Desire"

sensory desire
sensory gratification
sensory imprisonment
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
"Sequence"

Fright ignited sequence
       rattles round the brain
Burst a billion neurons
       but to burst again

Pulsate cyclic i strain
       rhythm suffering
Reflex flaw of habit
       empty 'cept for pain
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
"Sequenced"

Little slice of piece of pie
                                             yellow tangerine sky
                                                               home to vagrant clouds
                                                of mist
                                        with names given to each
                            a noisome wind
                                                            together with
                       permission to subsist
                                               on beauty alone
                                                                  if need be
                               its yours
                                              for a price
                                   worth it though
                                                                   maybe
                       i don't know
                                                      you think
                                  granted
                                                     a long path
                                                                                treadles
                        come to light
                                            emerge
                                                        groaned
                                                                     ******
                           poignant rock
                                                              boulder
                                                 mountain
                                                                          now
                         it takes
                                           a gather
                                                             of compassion
                                                                                       to gentle
                                     the brindled
                                                                   principle
                          brain
                                            shouts
                                                              we do
                                              then
                                                                       we see
                        corporeal mobility
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
"Shadows"

Shadows lose their terror
    When the light is steady
   They stay sharp and clear
  And well defined
They are seen as they are
     For what they are
   Real shadows
  But when the light flickers
The shadows dance
   And we dance with them
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
"Shaped"

Rolling slowly forward
In a passage of thought
Life unfolds.

Each succeeding moment
Yields pliant reality
To our mold.
Mark Wanless Jan 2022
the sun shines
through the ***** blinds
a mind is but a kind
of never ending story
Mark Wanless Jul 2023
i saw a venue in mind
walking towards the shore
of consciousness once more

many generations of me
splashes among the sea
and it is a heartfelt kind

the echoes resound dimly
i think i hear words
or just an error simply

softly i transverse
in my dreams
the whole universe

awake i am human
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
Silk tight
Is woven life
From moment to moment
Chosen and unchosen
Threads intermingle
Clear is the pattern seen
In our dreams
Uncared-for       unremembered
Unceasing

"Simple Things"

I do throughout the day
Simple things
Common things
And think of them
In certain ways
That give me a
Sense
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
I can not help you all
Don't touch me!!        anywhere!!
It hurts   and i run away
From my own perceptions of
Something i'm not sure of
Called many things throughout the ages
And galaxies swirl planets and thought
Born of cause by law arisen from cause
We try to understand sincerely
Proclaim knowalledge with pride
And hope with dreams of no more pain
In the heart that bleeds in
Sentient beings wishing for happiness
Mark Wanless Jun 2016

"Single Candle Burning"

A single candle burning shines enough
To dim the darkness of the world we hold
So precious called the i the self the ego
State which craves in ******* ignorance a
Pattern form or shape perceived existent
In some pleasured realm of moments ******-
Physical that once did gaily manifest
Upon the stage of here and now but now
Has past beyond this life to memories
That change the conscious aggregate for ill
Or good a function rightly virtuous
But when we grasp and grasp and ask of such
To yield a spectral nutriment we sow
Wild seeds of discontent that drops the present
Sphere of thought to Stygian depths and aspects
Cruel which can be humbly lifted for
A single candle burning shines enough
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
"Single Step"

Time to start the journey
       of a thousand miles
Single step single step
       single step
Manifest the here and now
       to the purpose
Single step single step
       single step
Moldable fluid ******-
       physical awareness
The inherent creative medium
       which is us
Single step single step
       single step
Travel the road of you
what is and want to be
Sunlight and shadows mixed
       to each their karmic own
The whole intermingled web
       sentient and vast
Shimmers with every foot fall
       process quit miraculous
Single step single step
       single step

"Sitting With Ahimsa"

Sitting with Ahimsa dead man
With others not dead
In body anyway
Mind i don't know about
Probably just same o same o
God covered with ****
Looking for a wash cloth
Or more ****
Or both
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
"Sky Master"

the falls kept breaking
one by one
he was good at it

sky master black king
egg by egg
dropped from no height

of any measure
just from where the nest was
was far enough

fierce enough to override
paternal care with fear
instinct for offspring
one level below self preservation

bewildered parents flee
regrettably
with angry caw like tears

the magpie magistrate
of the to small field
slaughterer of innocents
delivers a less competitive sky
to his incubating brood
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
"Slavery"

This is that and that
Is what i say
Do you believe me?
Fool!!!
Better to blunder than be
A slavery of
Movement    speech    thought
Seen peripherally absorbed
Pre consciously rewarded
Habitual approval delusion
Assembles i after function infinitude
To escape or not to escape
That is a dilemma
Suffering the finger shouting
Not here!!        Not here!!!
Where?        Where?
Not here     Not here.
Mark Wanless Nov 2017
"Sleep"

Full orange moon rising
Quietly above the autumn pines
Smell insistent this bright night
With shadows the owls are well fed
Fat on slow gray mice
Breed proficiently like roaches
Brown pestilence or snacks
To leaping lizards and fast pecking birds
Tonight nocturnal smorgasbord
For the quick the lazy
Sleep and grow thin
