My Cup Of Love
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
My cup of love,
Was once overflowing.
Now it is empty,
Dry as sun dried bones.
Not even the dust,
Of love remains.
It was blown away,
By the breath of procrastination.
Hollow words have no substance.
Broken promises,
Soon to forget.
Once there was life,
To share in abundance.
Now there is only,
An empty shell.
Once there were dreams,
Yet to be embraced.
The truth you revealed,
Love was never there.
Hold fast dear heart.
The path around the bend,
Is the way to the one,
Who actually has a heart.
This poem is dedicated to humanity. The world is full of love... Let it fill the cracks in your heart ❤

Friendship
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
Friendship
the strongest foundation
two people can
ever share
walls once built
for another
together we created
a door
the key we give
seeking then
to discover
worlds to yet explore
i love your canvas
making you colors
memories breathtaking
windows and floors
building our home
together
where happiness is peace
when we both
have a key to the door
I miss my best friend (MH). We have accomplished together a friendship rare and true. One day my love,  we shall meet again...
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
When there is so much uncertainty.
In time we will know everything about each other.
In time we will share everything.
Because it may not matter.
What matters is how we feel about each other.
That is where we are at.
And it may come quickly.
We may fall in love.
When we share our secrets.
Where we tell our past.
How we swear that knowing everything about one another...
... could protect us... from future troubles.
We will share every moment together.
This life.
Your life.
My life.
Our life.
This wonderful life.
It began when we had no secrets.
When we tell no lies.
And sometimes we will feel afraid.
And that is okay.
Because life is full of uncertainty.
That's why we love.
To face it together.
With someone.
You and me.
Together.
Everyone deserves to find happiness.
As do I.
Can we?
Will you?
One should never trust their gut, it is after all connected to an *******, But it is a great indicator for hunger.

Clockwork (10w)
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
I need us to be like clockwork, do you understand?
All its part work together... like clockwork. A loving and lasting relationship is not perfect, like a timepiece, yet working together we come close to perfection.
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
When I slumber I dream in color of a meadow by a brook
a sweet bird on a branch of a tree so tall it kisses the sun
in a sky of vivid blues, red, yellow and a hint of orange
listening to the birds sing about the flowers in bloom
attracting butterfly and nectar seeking humming birds
who fly near the place where I prepared a picnic for two.

Drift off to sleep my love
meet me in our meadow of dreams
A blanket spread
classic colors of checker board squares
with a picnic basket of wicker
two wine glasses for the laughter
of sparkling bubbles, we share.

Slowly falling
you glide on angels wings
in the distant horizon
next to the mountain of our desires
walking now
ever closer
stopping to sniff the aroma
of flowers grown by our mother nature
deeply in love with life
stepping on the moss of a fields shadow
your memory imprints a visit.

Our hands reach
and touch, fingers intertwined
feeling the warmth of together
as our eyes met with a look of content
our bodies drawing closer
we feel the purpose of meeting
from across the distant miles
a connection.

A summer rain softly falling
we dance
spinning
hands holding
until we fall together on the checkered blanket
laying together we make pictures from clouds
and speak of love everlasting
peanut-butter and jelly
a favorite.

Making plans for the coming days
when the Pacific ocean turns into a field
of green clover
and on the day
we picnic
and make love under the stars
in the meadow where we first met...

The Compass
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
Come with me
I have a compass
Bring your watch
We become the sexton
A map we shall draw
On this journey together
Joy for our pleasure
In the realm of reality
A world we seek
As one
Spirited wind
On wings of desire
Vision of a non virtual world
The kingdom of truth
The glory in wisdom
Where we speak in loving tone
Adorn my body with yours
As my heart melts like wax
Forming a new world
One mind
One Heart
One love
A creation
We found with a compass
We often navigate through life alone. Life was never meant to be alone, or lonely. How many travelers go without a compass, without a friend...

The All Seeing Eye
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
The minds eye is omnidirectional.
It can see hopes and dreams.
It is the ultimate source of human creativity.
But it also can be the source of anguish, fear and rejection.
At times it is flawless, yet at others it is completely flawed.
The third eye is always blind.
It is fixed, not seeing the surrounding truthfulness, and often provides a singular view.
This eye sees the convoluted future and fails to see the past.
The eye of complete truth and accuracy is the Hindsight Eye. As is known,  " Hindsight is 20/20 " and of perfect vision.
It is by far the eye of beauty, revelation and what the hell was I thinking.
It is the revealed truth and lies.
Liar's, keeper of secrets, they fear this eye the most.
We as humans, are equipped usually with vision.
Some see more then others.
Some are also clairvoyant, prediction of future, or worldly events, not normally recognizes vision.
Other people think they see something as truth. Oftentimes these are obscure and closer to fabricated visions of insanity.
I See... ...says the all seeing eye.
The more I think about this I think it is not even worthwhile as poetry. Perhaps I will delete it.

words that do spill
quill to paper

writing letters to gods
on clouds they do lay
Suddenly and without reason I write.

A Good Game
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
A good game needs rules and planning.
Nothing revels humanity so well as the games that play.
Actually you revel yourself best in how you play.
And so it became that.
A truism;
perhaps we are not that original, we are fascinated with the human past. And It's the human future which intrigues us most.
Seems we cannot understand us.
We cannot abide the thoughts of stagnation.
We seek to change into the heart of what we are, but... change into what?
We are hardly original.
Therefore, what will be your rewards?...
For playing the game...
I believe if we fill our life with positive there is no room left for negative. Mastery of your own game is never at the expense of another. That would be negative.

A Desperate Soul
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
I know how to recognize a desperate soul
    Wood for our fire
      To keep our family warm
        In winters cold
          What is the sacrifice
            Dear tree
              You captured the sun
                Drinking the rain
                  Roots deeply in soil
                    Mother earth
                     Ashes to dust
                        Cinders to rust
                           Reaching for heaven
                             Only to become
                               The god of fire
Nothing can ever be truly destroyed. Everything can only be converted. Even humans... we become something else.

Extreme Cure (10w)
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
Love, most powerful of magic, its cure must be extreme.
Poets and writers alike write about love, or the love of something more than anything else. Love is incurable. The only thing we take with us, when we die is the love we have in our heart. Stay thirsty, keep loving my friends!

Mistrial Winds
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
The mistrial winds come
Blowing fiercely from every direction
As storms brewing
Reaching our ships
Filling the sails of division
Attempts to chart the course
In different directions
I tie my ship to yours
Lower my mast and drift
Along with you
For it is never
One plus one equals two
True love is two equals one
Throw up the rope
I shall tie it tight
Around me
Feel free and drift along with me
The winds are but a window
Taking place together
We shall always
Survive all storms
As the story unfolds
Looking into the mirror
We see our ships are but one
Breathing me in
I am the sails of you
As you are mine
The math of true love; It is not one plus one equals two, rather two are the hearts of one.

The Spider Song
Wade Lancaster Sep 2015
I saw a spider, climbing down the wall.
See her spin a web, it's so beautiful.
Along comes the fly, and he lands inside.
See him fight for his life, but it's a shame cause she's going to dine on him tonight.

Sometimes I feel like that fly.
And the world is a web and the government, is the one who keeps ******* us dry.
And I am white, and that's alright.
But the color of skin is the reason why we all want to fuss and fight.

And I don't understand why. Why You treat me the way that you do.
You say that you love me but you don't mean it I can tell by your attitude.
I wish we could just get away,  leave this planet earth behind I'm telling you one day.
It will drag you down, six foot deep.

So I took the holy water, from out of the toilet.
And made a cross for protection on my forehead.
What am I afraid of, why do I hide.
How can I escape this ugly, this ugly that dwells inside.

All because I saw a spider.
She was climbing down the wall
I seen her spin her web (oh god) it was so beautiful
Along comes Mr. Fly, and he lands inside.
I seen him fight for his life...
Oh! I seen him fight for his life...
But it's a shame, yes it is a shame...
Cause she dined on him...
tonight.
A ten minute write. Written as a song. (yes I have a tune in my head for it)

This passion we share
Thunder clapping
As I clasped you hair
The light from above
Lightning strikes deep
****** in unison
Pleasure so deep
Eyes locked in focus
Sweet kisses we reap
Air shared in abundance
Snuggled spooning complete

Feel us enter
A love that's so rare
Hearts beat together
Together as one
Whispering forever
True love never ends
Brushing your hair softly
Fingers to cheek
Closeness of bodies
Drift off to sleep
Good-night
Sweet dreams
Just when you are thinking you don't deserve true love and a happy ending... Hope arrives.

Love Awaits
Wade Lancaster Aug 2015
Love is my wings, air is my heart.
From a twig I shall emerge.
For true love awaits,
For the one who true loves me.
If only you will whisper,
Your breath into my heart.
I will shout to the world your name.
Then the winds will carry us,
To peace and a better place.
If only you could open me, in that moment you will see, this wisdom deep inside of we.
Some people will come into your life as a good luck charm, while others are like a bad penny spending your emotions. - Wade Lancaster #quote

What Good Is

What good is speech
When you are not heard
What good is hearing
When you can not listen
What good is thinking
When you have no thought
What good is seeing
When there is darkness
What good is feeling
When you feel nothing
What good is hope
When you are hopeless
What good is peace
When there is none
What good is life
When you can not live
What good is caring
When you can not care
What good is dreaming
When you have no dreams
What good is good
When you are not

The No Named Poem
Wade Lancaster Aug 2015
If only you could see in my mind.
Perceive the world through my eyes.
See the vision I see.
In my minds eye.

Gander if only a wrinkle.
Then you shall dream.
In my dreams.
Truth or dare.
I have much to share.

Onward through the fog.
Mountain far below.
Fearfulness in memory.
Valley coming slow.

Goodness quenched by fire.
Ice captures pain.
My mind clear of thought.
My poem gets a name.

A single flower bloomed.
For it I get love.
By it mirrors are seen.
For its from above.
A single line can speak volumes in title

To This End
Wade Lancaster Aug 2015
To this end my blade soars
through the aquarium of my soul
seeking the kelp of discontent
which must be cut
so that the rocky bottom of love lie in waking
with fertile sand for the coming seed of my true loves affection
Does this explain my need for her?
No.
It is like a giant cave of emptiness
waiting for the bats of love
to hang by
and beckon me to taste that heavenly food
In heart
my heart beats for only one…
That is you, my everything and one true love

From a Rock To A Pebble
Wade Lancaster Aug 2015
Once Upon A Time…

I was a rock
Strong and proud as rock may be
Nothing could be more fulfilling than to be that rock
When you are looked upon as the symbol of strength
Always being that strength for all time
How strong it feels to be the rock
Over time I was eroded in a mere pebble
All that could chisel me down came like a storm
Everything that gave me strength was destroyed
Sometimes even the rock needs something to lean on
But the sands of the foundation
That which once was my own rock
Drifted away
Down the hill to where it lay
Tumbling down
In a downward spiral
Bashed to pieces
I became just a pebble
A concise pebble was me
With full conscience
Of my former self
I lay now next to the grass
And in time we became closer
Yet again time was not the friend
And the storms came and washed the grass down
Down the hill myself I rolled
As that foundation too was gone
Fate as it be
I found refuge next to the grass
And the sand was kind
It rolled gently beneath
Now I covered and gave the root of my grass
Sanctuary and a place to flourish
And together we gave joy to each other
Here on earth
Looking at the wonderment of sky

Apostrophe
Wade Lancaster Aug 2015
This is goodbye.
I am going to try and forget you, to live my life without you.

To not use you in my words, my writings, my songs.
I am truly sorry about this "apostrophe."

Certainly you had your place in my world.

Many times you were there, for me, for many others too.

You occur when a speaker breaks off from addressing the audience.
And directs speech to an absent third party.
Often it is a personified abstract quality or inanimate object which some absent or nonexistent person or thing is addressed as if present and capable of understanding.

However, you keep me from writing positive words like "Can, Will, Have and Is", among others.

I have come to realize, your best friend... "Not" is an important part of you.
Still one should never discard even a part of a best friend, something you do, when you become part of speaking and writing.

This may not be goodbye completely.

Simple because you were taught to me to be a part of my words.
I cannot blame teachers or writers.
I can only blame myself.

Nevertheless, I have the will to choose.
Therefore, I will make every effort to remove you when I read.
When I speak and when I think. I have that ability.

When the night was still and quiet. And the sound of the blood rushing through my veins filled my ears, the only way to silence it, was to slip out into the night.  AND like the hunter that spawned me, joined in the struggle for life and death, I was alone, unable. And those around me didn't understand, they shunned me, she cursed me, calling me vile names. I did not know why. Even now, do I know why I am driven? Why I cannot relent or repent or confess or abstain. How could I know, I have never been here before. And not one will lead me to that knowledge.

Those feelings are still a part of me. These veins are still a part of me. I control them. They do not rule me. To fit in, it is demanded, to change the one part of me I cannot change. And because I cannot, I do. That too is the mark of a good man. What enemy must a warrior battle to be appreciated and not taken for granted?

And as the blood, the love, is slowly drained from these veins, it is a painful death. My heart withered in my chest. My breath was taken away, no breath offered in return. Suffocating only because I am loyal, true and committed.

I am becoming a shell of what was once a powerful man. Weakened in these arms. Beaten to submission. Pride removed, replaced by fear.

Only fools have no fear. A broken man I am. What price, at what cost, is a place in the virtual worlds? Reality eludes the master. And the rope, the one I once held with honor, now binds me. As my feelings are pushed aside, like unsaid words, as sand in the eternal sea. Closer towards the cliffs I am pushed. Her appetite for destruction is never satisfied. Feeding it has removed my bones, only my spine supported this emptiness.

With creativity in bondages, manipulate and conquer becomes a formidable weapon. Slicing away, layer by layer I became what it wished for me to be. Silence of tongue and emotionally tangled in the convoluted mind of misunderstanding... I lost strength from the ***** of a virtual reality, once I was ingenious but have been reduced to ingenuous.

When my spring arrives

The aroma is only for you

My leaves close
It is how I hold you within my arms
In this way I exhale
And you receive the oxygen
For it enriches your blood
And your heart becomes happy for it
Dig into my roots
They are dug into the soil of our togetherness
Feel the richness
Smell the earth
Look upward towards the sky
As the light of happiness

If Only You Could Hear Me
Wade Lancaster Aug 2015
If you could hear me, there are things I could tell you:

like my dreams,
I was a branch and you were a bird
and you built your nest and I gave you a home, and
I was the bird and you were the worm and you wiggled
beneath my lips and you nourished my body, and
I became the worm and you were the dirt and
I gave you warmth and guidance and quenched
your thirst and then I was the dirt and you were
a child and you shaped me into pies squished
between your chubby fingers and I rested on
your cheeks until I became the child and you became
my pet and we danced in the rain and chased after
the birds and you snuggled up to me next to a fire
and we slept, and I became the pet and you were
my owner and you fed me and gave me affection
because I was loyal and then I became the owner
and you became my love and we found ourselves
in between clean sheets, damp with sweat and
stripped naked and satisfied and the sun began
to peak through our blinds and you became
the sun and I turned into the moon and we’ll
be immortalized day and night and you’ll fall
in love with me every moment and I didn’t want
to find myself in reality again, but when I woke
I realized you were still there, kept in my heart
and for now, that’s all I need until I want more
and more comes with the future and the future
will be our adventure—if you were listening,
I would tell you all this so you could understand
that I’m waiting: you’re my bird and I’m your branch.
