I hear an army charging upon the land,
And the thunder of horses plunging, foam about their knees:
Arrogant, in black armour, behind them stand,
Disdaining the reins, with fluttering whips, the charioteers.

They cry unto the night their battle-name:
I moan in sleep when I hear afar their whirling laughter.
They cleave the gloom of dreams, a blinding flame,
Clanging, clanging upon the heart as upon an anvil.

They come shaking in triumph their long, green hair:
They come out of the sea and run shouting by the shore.
My heart, have you no wisdom thus to despair?
My love, my love, my love, why have you left me alone?

I love you
Through tear tired eyes
Into sweet dreams.

One day I owe to myself
to be with just me
and it is today.
Wait that's everyday but
still this day just for me
to do what I love to do
to listen to my heart beats
to be in tune with my soul
Is today.
I will go to my favorite
place and not think about
time or that I have to be
someplace at a certain place
at a certain time
I am a free spirit
today unlike yesterday
anxiety was with me and
It was quite scary.
I will visit the book stores
and go to the lake and read.
That is what's going down for
today.

♡ this is not a poem but just sharing
a thought ...my point is that we need to
unstress and do fun things with you
or if you stand being with just you with
someone. And I will not write any poems cause I can't so thank you for reading :)

A small needful fact
Is that 98% of women
Do not look like fashion models.
100% of American children
Are being lied to everyday
Told they are not normal
Told there is something wrong with them.
Another needful fact:
More than two million women
More than eight hundred thousand men
Are bulimic
Add, subtract, multiply, divide
Any way you try to solve the problem
It still exists like a parasite.
If any girl, boy, child, man, woman
Wants to escape these images
Running with cupped ears
Hoping to save themselves
It follows them, rank with the smell of sewage
It is the ghost in the closet
Television set
Store aisle
Telling them they are not good enough
They cannot escape the lies so dense
Even their inner most breath
Is hot with deception
And so, even the most basic function of breathing
Is a challenge.
Until we replace poison with water
Brokenness with holiness
Lies with truthfulness
These seemingly sorrowful statistics
Will never quite add up.

A special thanks to Ross Gay for his poem "A Small Needful Fact" and to Megan Falley for using it as a prompt.

We keep pretending making tea
like children with a playset
we keep pretending we are real
enough to drink and taste

We keep pretending we're in touch
like we have a real connection
we keep pretending we're not strangers
and we never even met

He looked upon the outer membrane of his eyes and found worlds under his command. He blinks, they sleep. He opens, they awake.
