A widow bird sate mourning for her Love
Upon a wintry bough;
The frozen wind crept on above,
The freezing stream below.
There was no leaf upon the forest bare,
No flower upon the ground,
And little motion in the air
Except the mill-wheel’s sound.
Captain Ebuzz Clegg
Sails the seven seas.
And rules every ocean
From Calcutta to Belize.
There is nothing far and in between
Nothing old and nothing new,
Captain Ebuzz Clegg has not seen,
And Captain Ebuzz will not do.
He will don his mighty cutlass
Whenever peril comes his way.
He's an old salt, wise and wary.
Always worthy of his prey.
He can read the starry skies at night
Like any solid buccaneer.
And scallywag a bilge rat
Should a bilge rat be lurking near.
When he snaps, "Avast ye mateys," It is fair
He's every plan to anchor there.
Or he'll sail that raging, stormy sea,
Just to find the perfect scratching tree.
"We make our luck," he's sure to say
When some fine challenge comes his way,
He'll weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen strong,
Should a cask of catnip come along.
There are no secret ports where he
Hasn't keelhauled at least one worthless flea,
Or found a bounty of cream fresh as day,
He doesn't plan to steal away.
And should he, a bit of tuna , find,
He'll make certain it isn't left behind.
From Cape Town all the way to South Brisbane
Adventure is his mightiest campaign,
And that's why he wears the Pirate hat,
This clever little Pirate cat.

"Your cat will never threaten your popularity by
barking at three in the morning. He won't attack
the mailman or eat the drapes, although he may
climb the drapes to see how the room looks from
2:35am. You say,
“Lets go for a drive
through the galaxy.”
Your car turns into a spacecraft
as we fly through the blackness.
You take me on a journey among the stars.
The streetlamps and stoplights
become colorful particles of our galaxy,
and the cars around us
transform into the UFO’s
we can only read about.
You show me the best-kept secrets
that our vast ocean in the sky holds,
from the eyes in envy.
sends me into the mysteries of black holes
and the awe of a supernova.
3:12am I whisper,
“Can we sleep upon the radiance of the moon?”
and you respond,
“Yes, and tomorrow after breakfast
I will take you to swim in the turquoise blue of the sea.”
You take me everywhere
and back again with the simplest of actions.
You do this to me…
when you look like that
you cause even the calmest waves
to become a tsunami
enveloping this skeletal city
destroying the strongest walls
drowning me in your silence
only to resuscitate me
with lips pressed against mine briefly
and nerve endings.
You never meant her any harm.
Just a helpless soul left to the your own devices.
The needles she stick in her arm,
will help her cope with this emotional crisis.
You didn't have to,
you didn't want to,
but the opportunity sure was enticing.
The softness of her skin,
could easily bend your will,
and without even knowing,
Do you feel the desire,
do you feel the fire,
no where to hide,
you're a liar!
When you tip-toed,
through the foyer,
and up, up, up the stairs.
Did you ever,
think to check,
for a single strand of hair!
Now your locked outside,
in the freezing cold,
no where to go.
Maybe next time,
hopefully next time,
you will think twice,
If you're going to kiss me,
Do it with ease.
Light place your lips upon
Me as you please.
If you're going to wrap me up
In your arms and hold my frame,
Envelope me whole,
Using your comforting hold to stake claim.
If you're going to wipe away my tears
With your index fingers and palms,
Flick them away and whisper to me
Sweet nothings, in efforts to keep me calm.
If you're going to sleep by my side,
Trace circles along my spine
Until I fall asleep in peace,
Feeling safe and sublime.
If you're going to say you love me,
Even when I'm a mess,
Mean it with every breath you use
To prove you love me best.
If you're going to laugh at me
When I dance barefoot in the streets,
By all means, just join me please;
Dance to the sounds of my heart beats.
If you're going to make me fall so hard
Because you do all of the things I require,
Be sure to stay for awhile
Because you lit my heart up into a passionate fire.
Rather it's not a matter of if,
But a question of what you fail to do;
You endure all and remain my rock-
I would not survive if not for you.
