Solid Gold Heart (shape)
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
This     heart                          was once solid
Gold and steadfast.               But now it’s empty and
solitaire.  This  heart,  even  though empty,  is  still pure
and shines as brightly as it ever has with values unchanged.
This heart stays tactile smooth and comfortable to hold. This
heart has a shape that will remain true and always will. Just it’s
center has been taken. This heart is hollow now, waiting to be
full, to be solid,  solid gold.  To be the solid gold heart. This
heart needs your help. This heart, as you can see, has no
chain to  support it.  To hold it.  To carry it. This  heart
couldn’t possibly join with chain in full complement
to engage your neck. This heart needs to share a
chain with other gems, bobbles & trinkets for
now. This heart is for all to see and  all to
know the story of the solid gold heart.
This heart, will serve as a reminder
of  how truly  remarkable  the
solid gold  heart is.  This
solid   gold   heart
belongs   to
you.

I DARE TO DREAM
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
It is simply being at a still point, where silence speaks volumes.
Where guilt turns to tranquility and I can trust to risk
or risk to trust, either way, it doesn’t matter.
It is a matter of perspective, I can dare to dream,
of a Wondrous Journey and when I dream,
without fail,  I am greeted by Chaya,
mystical Goddess of the shadow.
She reviles wisdom of the shadow.
in the shadows are rainbow colors.
She brings forth, essence of Black.
For background and contrast.
Then magically splashes
the essence of Green,
and everything

GLOWWS ! ! !

My little Chimera steps out from behind a giant fern
and holds my hand, in anticipation of the journey.
Chaya holds a finger to her lips and says,
“The Whisper sunset is near” I am Red.
Again she raises a finger to her lips,
“Listen for the Whisper - Twilight
The Dream Catcher,
it is what makes
the magic fun
and fancy.

Angel’s Breath and Dragon Tears,”
Chaya explains while
Scintilla the Necromancer
dances along the creek ,
and she SPARKLES.
A giant bumblebee
hovers to watch
SO SURREAL

Then everything just bursts and fades into the mist.
What happened to the magic? Where is Chaya?
"Chaya went into the eye of the storm"
The voice from within says
“Where is Scintilla?” We ask
  “Scintilla dances in heaven now”
The voice within echoes
The Wondrous Journey
is over,‘til twilight
tomorrow when
I DARE TO

THE DARK SIDE OF YOU
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
She starts with lightning, blinding light
then comes her roaring thunder might
search for shelter to hide under
then more rolling roaring thunder

(bridge)
She is the storm in human form, in human form she is the storm

She pours like rain, the pouring rain
She is the sleet and snow and pain
so cold so cold, so damp so damp
turgid, frigid vicious vamp

(chorus)
I can’t get through the dark side of you
I can’t get through to you
She is the storm in human form
I can’t get through the dark side of you
I can’t get through to you

She is the storm that blacks my sky
frozen chest no breath for good bye
can’t think, can’t feel can’t find reason
there is no refuge from her changing season

(chorus)
She is the storm in human form, in human form she is the storm
I can’t get through the dark side of you
I can’t get through to you
She is the storm in human form
I can’t get through the dark side of you
I can’t get through to you*

Capitan Blood Head
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
The Jamaica Jewel's sails are full with skull & bones on high mast,
canons thunder, I pillage & plunder with a trim keel my ship is fast.
My boots and vest are leather black with sword & buckles of gold,
when sunlight reflects, landlubber's quake & their blood runs cold.
I always dress in black except from my hat a plume of vermillion,
A pirate's chest full of treasure and pieces of eight by the million.

Just the sound of my name sends shivers to timbers of all,
I am Capitan Blood Head, on mermaid lips and ports-o-call.
On sand & beach Capitan Blood Head wanted alive or dead,
where rivers become waterfalls posters for bounty is what's read.
So the legend lives on, from Key Largo, San Juan & St. Kitts Cay,
from Trinidad and Tobago to Saint John and Montego Bay.

Don't you dare cross Capitan Blood Head and his Scallywags,
and don't even think about The Capitan's favorite Sea Hags,
or walk the plank to Davy Jones' locker you sank. AGRRR!!!

Mean Mr. A$$HOLE
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
I am so smart, I can fool myself
but I am too stupid to figure me out.
What's your problem?
If you don’t stand for something,
You will fall for anything.
Now pick yourself up, get a number and wait for your turn.
I think, therefore I am over qualified.
And that’s why you work here.
No, it’s not ignorance nor arrogance
I’m just smarter than you.
Were you born deficient or are you just stupid today?
Do not believe or even read every word that I have written.
Do not believe everything you think.
Remember you are special, just like everyone else.
Remember to take your smart pills.
I can see you had an extra bowl of stupid for breakfast this morning.
Then stop pretending to be stupid, that’s just dumb.
When you leave home, don't forget where you live and
don't forget your pants, again.
Ask me about my ability to annoy anyone any time.
That’s Mr. A$$hole (aays - ol - aye) to you, it’s Esperanto.
And yes, it is part of my charm thanks for asking.
Are we having fun yet?
The daydream is the free thinkers nightmare,
what do you think? never mind
Perjury murdered imagination, without an assault rifle,
or second amendment rights, without mass media
or an internet connection. What's your excuse?
I didn’t say it was your fault, I said, I was going to blame you.
So, how does it feel to be back on the hamster wheel?
C’mon man really?

THE OMISSION OF TRADITION
WARNER BAXTER May 2015
It has never been my intension
nor was it ever a bone of contention
to alter or disrupt the social convention
but now is the time to pay close attention
to the decline of the human condition

Responsibility rescinded creating moral decomposition
accountability abandoned causing legal repercussion
right and wrong are muddled in a malicious juxtaposition
public opposition has festered into social imperfection
the omission of tradition by politician’s redefinition

WARNER BAXTER Dec 2014
Spilling ink are poets minding minds of the wise
splashing paint are artists realizing their demise
William Shakespeare was called the poet master
Edgar Allen Poe  was known as the evil caster.

But what do I know? I am The  Wisenrhymer

The poet’s word is worth a thousand pictures I’ve heard
sometimes you can’t read the poem through all the words
rhythm and rhyme is just a sign of the times
or rant and rave is just a line of  the crimes

I jump up out of bed ‘cause the alarm clock is ringing
got a song sittin’ on the tip of my tongue, I start singing
I’m staring at myself tryin’ to make my lips turn pink
with the blow dryer in my ear, it gives me time to think
on the cocktail naps, can’t remember what we wrote
last night with the girls drinkin’  *** and diet coke

I smoked my last cigarette with the girls last night
the lyrics came fast from the left and from the right
something ‘bout a dance and dare to take a chance
could this be the one, be that one true romance
it’s only been a day, but I could **** for a smoke
last night with the girls drinkin’ *** and diet coke

(chorus)
in this chameleon color world filled sky high
let the rainbow colors just fly on by - fly on by
even those not usually seen - makes it all feel so pristine
and the ones that bleed and the ones that fade
shine bright in the light and in the shade - in the shade

I fall into bed and set the alarm clock to ring
can’t get to sleep this song on my tongue I sing
I’m staring at the walls lyin’ flat on my back
tossin’ and a turnin’ tryin’ to make it all turn black
can’t remember what we wrote, I wish I had a smoke
last night with the girls drinkin’ *** and diet coke

(chorus)

let the rainbow colors just fly on by - fly on by

The Golden Goddess of Garden Glen breaths evergreen
Her elfish essence is magic and Her spirit gleens
for it's merely a moment at the wonder She whiles
She wiggles and giggles and then She snickers and smiles

She's not really a Goddess nor is She a Princess
She's more of a magical mystical Enchantress
She is the Garden's gleaming glistening Governess

She starts with Her essence then stirs Her spirit divine
She drips Dragon tears, then simmers slow with sweet sunshine

BLACK SHEEP will shine
WARNER BAXTER May 2014
(Intro)
I'll remember you, You'll remember me

life is like grains of sand, falling down from your hand
rolling on toe to tide, like an endless wave on an endless ride
the last thing you want is sympathy, gotta live your life, just have 'em let you be
you tried so hard, you tried so much, you can't please another if you're out of touch

(chorus)
black sheep will shine black sheep you're fine
black sheep will shine black sheep you're mine

remember what your father said, it really stuck in your head
you'll never be nobody's fool, gonna live your life by your rule
you got the money, you got the fame but you're walking that tight rope, barely sane
Time takes a back seat to no man, gotta stick with your life, shift in your plan

black sheep will shine black sheep you're fine
black sheep will shine black sheep you're mine

(repeat chorus)

life is like grains of sand falling down from your hand
Slowing down before you slide, now pick up your speed, shift into glide
you got the money you got the fame you got your name, so you better take aim
you tried too hard, you tried too much you can't please another if you're out to lunch

black sheep will shine black sheep you're fine
black sheep will shine black sheep you're mine

(repeat chorus x2)

(outro)
you'll remember me

BLINDED BY LOVE
WARNER BAXTER May 2014
(slow blues tempo)
There’s a ring of fire baby
And it’s burning ‘round my heart
Don’t you know it drives me crazy
I don’t know just where I’ll start

I had a million lovers
I could never find my style
Pretty soon they will discover
What it takes to make me smile

(chorus up tempo)
I was blinded, blinded by love babe
I was blinded by love
I was blinded, blinded by love babe
Blinded, blinded by love babe

There’s a ring of fire baby
And it’s burning ‘round my heart
Don’t you know things get hazy
Am I just to blind to start

(up tempo change)
Well I tried much too much
To keep your heart right in my clutch
I aint laughin’ ‘cause it aint funny
I cry ‘cause I miss ya honey
Life goes around like a merry-go-round
I could send you back to lost and found

(chorus x2)

Can you solve this riddle?
WARNER BAXTER Apr 2014
.
A man has a wolf, a goat and a head of cabbage. While traveling, the group comes to a river's edge. The river is wide with a swift current.
The man obtains a very small boat/raft, floating thing. So small in fact he can only take one of the three at one time. Here is the problem. If he takes the cabbage, the wolf would surely eat the goat. But if he takes the wolf, the goat would surely eat the head of cabbage. How can he get himself, the wolf, the goat and the head of cabbage all safely across the river to the other side?

Take a moment and try to figure it out  then read my little story to help you along. Have fun and I'll see you on the other side of the river.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There once was a man from Afghanistan
with his wolf, some cabbage and goat
set forth to cross the desert remote
they trudged for days on end, maybe as long as a week
whew!! the smell of that cabbage **** did it wreak
over dunes and hills to a mountain's ledge
which lead them down to the river's edge.
Now the wolf was a master over hill and dale
but crossing the river, he would surely fail
with cabbage as baggage and a goat that won't float
he knew in an instant, he needed a boat.
He stammered, and scratched and pondered awhile
he couldn't decipher how they could all cross The Nile
He grabbed a few pieces of floating wood
and lashed them together a tight as he could
He stared at his float, then peered the wolf,
back to the float then to the goat, Hum,
with cabbage, wolf and goat to tote
he prayed to his God, I need a small boat
Then all of sudden sand blew in his eye
and a rumbling voice came out of the sky
F- E- R- R- Y
Now everyone knows that wolf eats goat
and a goat will eat anything especially cabbage
But did you know that nothing rhymes
with cabbage and wolf, except
for wolf and cabbage blah blah blhababage.
So there my friends the problem is solved
if you are able to postulate.
Just carefully follow these simple steps
one, through six, seven and eight.
1. take the goat over  2. come back get cabbage  3. take cabbage over  4. bring goat back
5. leave goat  6. take the wolf over  7. come back, get goat  8. take goat over again
To go where young rabbits frolic and dance
Would be a sweet treat if I had the chance
To swim in the water where famous cottontails get wet
Where champagne bubbles are spilled by the elite jet set
Maybe I might win a million dollar lotto
That could be my ticket to enter the grotto
Past muscle bound bouncers, inside velvet ropes and stanchions
To ogle, google and spill my own bubbles at The ******* Mansion
To escape normality and alter reality before I grow old
Playing with Playmates and Bunnies and this months Centerfold
Without a doubt this is the address of Heaven
WOODSTOCK
WOODSTOCK
They came from The South, The North and The West Coast
450,000 together for peace and music, half a million at most
Richie Havens inspired all while singing his "Freedom" song
Country Joe McDonald dropped "F" bombs his whole set long
Carlos Santana amazed us, as he gave all and sacrificed his soul
Arlo Guthrie with Woody's ****, packed his pipe and smoked a bowl
Canned Heat and The Bear asked us to work together united stand
Levon Helm pounded skins and sang "The Weight" with The Band
Joe Cocker warned us more than once that he might sing out of tune
One after the other, CSNY, Alvin Lee, Sha Na Na midnight 'til noon
Janis gave a piece of her heart along with a "Ball and Chain"
Jefferson Airplane sang about Alice out in the pouring rain
The Fogerty's sang about where they were born and two girls one proud
And for the life of me I can't figure out why The Who played to this crowd
Jimi capped it off with The National Anthem and "Purple Haze"
the perfect ending to four long daze of rock and roll blaze
So if your travels take you to New York Up State
Stop at Bethel Wood, the place where Rock History was written in Slate
"1969, when music was grooved in vinyl and carved in Rock"
(Her)
staring up at the darkened sky
stars come out lighting it up so bright
who knew I'd be standing here alone
after all we had, now you're gone
you took my heart when you fled
now I'm broken and empty you left me in shreds
why did you choose to go
guess that's the answer I'll never know
(Him)
staring up at your darkened eye
scars come out cutting it up so tight
who knew I'd be standing here alone
after all went bad, now you've won
you tore me apart with words you said
now I'm broken and empty you left me for dead
why did you choose to go
guess that's the answer We'll never know
Chorus
(Duet) our love will last longer, together we're stronger
we can turn back the time and change the past
(Her)  can we turn back the time
(Him)  can we turn back the time
(Her)  can we turn back the time
(Him)  can we turn back the time
(Her)  staring out at the sparkling sky
stars come out to our hearts delight
(Duet)  who knew we'd be standing together
we have a love that lasts forever
(Him)  you fill me up with love in my heart
your hand in mine never far apart
(Duet)  that's why I chose you
love is the answer we'll always know
Chorus X2
(Her)  can we turn back the time
(Him)  can we turn back the time
(Her)  can we turn back the time
(Him)  can we turn back the time
(Duet)  can we turn back the time
repeat
