Luminous starshine drips
from the sky and
cascades freely toward
the mundane world
and
,with no hesitation,
ceaselessly pours enchanting
inspiration into the
empty wasteland that
is
my ink pen.
I've been at a writers block and this is all I've managed to bleed out as of right now.

It is time to rise against the stormy seas, boulder through the constant mourners, live freely among those we walk towards, worship the lost, side by side.

Not afraid of being alone but charged with an awareness of one another. Drawn pens scribbling warfare with no battalions; military tone.

Armed only with words of hope, a language not curated, sentences unused by predecessors, voice an ammunition, poetry we are.

Letters strung in simple lines, complex phrases unscrambled. A capital for importance, bold reasons pronounced, italics in love. Sonnets heard by the masses.

Tellers of tales, worshippers of characters, lost in the narrative. As giant waves crash on the seashore side by side, together we are one.

even after we're through
i've made us permanent
long after our feelings have died
my heart will still beat in these poems
and i will still be the starry eyed girl stealing glances in each verse
and in 10 years time
i may see you again
and my head won't buzz, my stomach won't tumble, my cheeks won't flush
but these pages
are proof
that they once did.
writing is powerful

"If at all I could paint, I would paint a picture..."
wondered a poet.
"If at all I could write, I would paint a picture..."
wondered a writer.
"If at all I could see, I would paint a picture..."
wondered a vision-less mind.

i think it's hard to be friends or lovers with a writer. here's why:

1) you have to be careful of what you say, because the writers mostly take every word of yours literally and try to find the meaning in it. say what you mean, and mean what you say.

2) you also have to be wary of your grammar. those people, whom you know as writers, are grammar nazis. if they don't correct you in speech, fret not; it has been done in their word-mazed minds.

3) they will rant and rant and rant, because written words are what cool them off without having them to speak aloud. curse words, words which carry a tune, words which burn into brains... hear them out. do not be lazy to read their rants if they trust you with it. (they could rant about you TO YOU in the end.)

4) this is the hardest part. just remember that they will write about you no matter who you are or what you've done (or maybe you haven't even done anything). these people will write about how they see you. and most of the time, those writings are not so favorable. if you do not want to (literally) end up in their bad books, beware. their words may not last in ink forever but embedded into the hearts of those who read them.

happy reading and living with a reader!
for now, im stating the difficult/negative parts of knowing a writer. please look forward to the second part: perks of knowing a writer!

She tries to turn
her thoughts into pictures
I just simply put
mine into words
Hers is all in color
Mine's a grayscale world
It's understandable why
you would choose a rainbow like her
Instead of the writer in me
But please let me go
I'm no longer her anymore
I'm no longer the artist
I yearned to be
people change, views change, interests change. We all have an artist inside of us, and every now and then we can experience a piece of the rainbow. But we all need a little black and white-- the absence of color-- to know if our world is really colored or not. Whether we write or paint/draw, we all share the same goal: to express.

Ayan na naman ang araw,
ngunit heto ako gising na
gising.

Ayan na naman ang araw,
sinasabing itigil ko na itong
kahibangan ko para sa'yo.

Ayan na naman ang araw,
nagsisilbing gabay na wala
kana sa akin.

I want to be as beautiful like your favorite flower (the one that reminds you of true love). I want to be the first person you see when you wake up. I want to be the morning sunrise. I want to be the reason behind those beautiful lips of yours. And mostly, I want to destroy you in ways that I could call you as my own and have you all to myself.

As I search for you,
I slowly forgotten every inch
Of what made me as whole.

As I search for you,
I have to fight the urge of
Being with you and having
The freedom to myself.

As I search for your name,
I cannot seem to grasp the idea
That what ''you and i'' once had
Is nothing but a sheer memory.

As I search for your name through every accounts,
I still get butterflies in my stomach
I still smile and hoping that there's a slight chance
For us to become as one again.

As I search for peace within this chaotic world,
I still carry you with me.
