What is sleep,
In the end?
Smoke rises
As eyelids fall
A wrinkled space
between my eyebrows,
counts the doses
and takes them all

What is waking,
In the end?
The fog of
a forgotten dream,
The shallow breathe
Of weariness,
Or the tea kettle,
Shrieking without rest

What is love,
In the end?
Musing the discomforts
And trains in the distance,
The taste of cheap coffee
And persistence..
Your name dances on my tongue
Like dust

In my eyes
The end is near
The controlled chaos
Is what brought us here
This mural of
Sleep, wake, love
has paint
chipping off the edges.

Rise and shine all ye people
Now is the mornin'
Of a new beginning

Put on all ye work boots
Get ready for the labor
Which garners man's favor

Get out on the fields
Toil till the sun goes down
Do this without no frown

For this is the cycle
Morning in and morning out
To reap and sow the blessings abound

Woke the demons inside to find that monsters aren't real,
Just needed to sort out how I really feel,
Pigs started flying with a beautiful squeal,
Commited to compassion made myself a deal,
Between you or me I see no real difference,
Our bodies run on the same fuel for one simple instance,
Go with the flow cast away resistance,
One foot in front of the other success is persistence,
Go the distance it's really where you've been all along,
Unleash the caged bird to hear the wondrous song,
Life may not seem so short but it's not that long,
Be here now before you wake up gone.

They said, I should pretend that she was sleeping
That dying wasn't so bad
And I should have faith,
Hope,
That she would wake up
To cradle me in her arms again

But she didn't.
The tubes crawling under her skin
Only grew in numbers.

This would be her fight
Struggling by herself
Her foes outnumbering her
Slithering down her throat
Suffocating her,
They make her breathe
Gliding under her soft skin,
They are nourishing her

They are inside of her!

She looks like life has almost left her,
And now, the snakes **** out the last of all that is her
Her warmth
Her softness
Her plumpness
They say it isn’t so
But I am not blind

They say, it might not be too late,
But only Rigor Mortis is late
Nonetheless, he will come
Along with his hooded brother
Just because her limbs are not stiff
Does not mean she hasn’t passed *limbo

impatient for your arms again i rise
to sit and watch your secret sleeping eyes
what dream is this that keeps you lingering there
with smiling parted lips and tender sighs

what joy in sleep fills your so captured heart
while i wait here alone, to watch apart
and gaze upon your much loved gentle face
more lovely than a work of perfect art

i wander in the garden late at night
to gather perfumed roses, pink and white,
while I my patient lovers vigil keep
to bring your morning wonder and delight

the dark, the stars, the moon are gone away
across your sleepy pillow sunbeams play
in this new world refreshed, renewed, be mine
awaken to another golden day

Lay down and dream,
Open your eyes and make your dreams a reality,
Take that step forward,
And keep on going.

Lay down and dream,
Open your eyes and believe,
Believe in the future and what is to come.

Believe in dreams.
Believe in yourself.
Believe in your future.

Lay down and dream.
Wake up and smile.
Knowing you are taking that first step.
Knowing you will get there, where ever there is.
Smile knowing you believe.

I saw a space empty at the top of the elevator.
I will get everything that I deserve,
no power can stop that from happening.

This whole life will end in the blink of an eye
will come to an end in the snap of a moment
Why be troubled. Just wake up!
You are already surrendered
Finished! Do not question that even once.
Do not demand. This is the law of Nature.

When a river flows, quickly or slowly
dry leaves, twigs and branches falls into it.
We get caught up in things.

Diamond and charcoal are so similar.
Our skin is like a mosquito net.

Was this a pleasant dream or a nightmare.
If you have a dream cake,
you need a dream knife to cut it.

Best to eat it all before you go.
Dine on a dream.

Wake up
Come on, we have a busy day
Come on, you'll waste your day away,
We can go faraway or to a cafe
We can play or do something cliche

Wake up
Get up
I know it's hard and the world feels like a dump
Make that small jump
I won't judge if you firstly trudge
Once you're up, have courage
Once you've gotten up things will be sunnier
Life could be funnier

Wake up
Come on, I want to help you smile
I know the world is hostile
But it will be worthwhile
I want to be the ketchup to your chip
Come on, let's go on a trip
If you get tired you can relax in my imagination
You'll still have my *full admiration

Slowly realising this affirmation
Is my own situation
That would be nice,
If I listened to my own advice

and woke up.

I. To sleep...

As if I needed affirmation
of the weekend from a mouse

As if I needed mutually
indecipherable dialogue

As if I need a hip social setting
when Insomnia gets off on my inside

As if I need a drink for the prodding
of my eyes or charisma for the charming of hers

As if we need a hotel or a bed
for that matter in Dormiveglia

II.* ...perchance to dream.*

Darling Insomnia
how you dazzle in your quilted
queendom of suction

Darling Insomnia
**** out the vanilla gumming
up my timid lungs like sugared venom

Darling Insomnia
I promise I won't burden you with moans of
fantasy-inflicted headaches

Darling Insomnia
let your sirrah latch his inhalation
onto your majestic ***** like an asp

Darling Insomnia
does subordination in my windpipe
do right by your despotic grasp?

...of dreaming
When will she wake up?
It's been 9 months.
