Is each of us unique?
And yet,
are we all the same
as deep down
we are all
striving for joy and happiness?

Therefore, can we
cooperate
to facilitate each others'
joy and happiness?

all my poems are unique general principles

~for Helene Mendelsohn~

“A general principle never comes to life in my mind except by exhibiting itself in various special forms and in
crowds of instances for each form":
R.G. Collingwood

each a construct - an arch-i-texture,
each a crowd of a single instance
special forum, a dialogue differentiation,
a conjugate particle,
forming up, in marching order,
a singular troop, a base case singular,
a soldier especially demanding,
“Of Me, Write, Write”

for within my insight,
a one-off sighting,
one glinting wave reflecting,
its one millisecond exactitude of existence,
reforming unseemly, a new but not!

a seemingly similar shifted shape,
but no wave is a precision repetition,
perhaps a passing familiarity
of its precedents, antecedents,
at best

an instance borrowed and paid back
to the generosity of time
for a fully developed statement of a
general principle,
even a primary secondary textual emendation,
requires a unique naming definition

being born and dead dying while you are blinking,
does not understate absolute value,
a principle exists to give absolution,
so the moments resets,
perpetually,
but its own resolution is n’err forgotten

do you see the crowd of inferences
herein contained?

the principal unique,
poem plucked from passing sun ray,
a tickling hair of a brazen breeze,
one wave, one wave reconstituting a
millennium of preceding lives,
deriving its abbreviated genealogy
of droplets of prior principles
forever reinterpreted

so I gave you back
words you knew
but in a new combination
establishing this poem,
its constituents,
as a unique general principle

there is a prior poem, new, unique
in everything

3 candles and a frozen margarita.
You take your time.
Though your glow could light the most distant fires.
So many words you do not speak. Just a smile with the passion of a poet on stage.
Iv yet seen such beauty the likes of you.
I think I'll keep that. Passionate music and fire playing second fiddle to the radiance that you bear in the most exquisite of ways.
The envy of an Autumn sunset.
You grace me Enamored.

My thoughts are getting older
day by day,
minute by minute,
second by second.
They are getting older and
I can see them fading away,
my vision is getting blurry,
my feelings are shattering.

Slowly my thoughts are getting older
and I am losing myself.
now I need you to find me because I am in darkness and I learning to love myself there.
but still, I hope you to see through my smile that,
my thoughts are getting older
day by day,
minute by minute,
second by second.

Calling you
You
Calling me
Me
Is like saying your smile is unique because of teeth
You are, yet you are not, unique
Fawning over the fissile festivities,
with which I fake my facile form.
Fatal futility floods my far-flung faith in myself.

Feeding the fires of my forgery,
Frantic forethought,
Fictionalizing the facts before my faithless eyes.

Forclosing upon the fractional freedoms that I've so long fought for.
Fearing the unforgiving firestorm that follows,
Once I've finally exhausted faith in my future.

Fielding my final fight,
Standing fast in the face of futility.
Fit to fly into the fray.

Some may say
that you are “strange”,
but why would that matter?

With over 7 billion strangers,
and each different in their own,
what, then, is peculiar?

Contrary to popular belief,
amidst meaningless meanderings,
I say:

“there is no such thing.”

A flaw or difference to one,
Is a pathway towards acceptance
For another...

...In a world that embraces and encourages
a "cookie-cutter" mentality,
Individuality should be celebrated,
Not chastised!
DARE to stand alone...Humanity NEEDS individuality!

Conformity is my enemy

Conformity is my enemy;
Everything they took from me, they didn’t know I didn’t want it!
Your society is empty;
All they have is useless to the kid who never wanted to fit in.

We stand apart, on different plains;
I have evolved, whilst your entire existence has just stood still.
You and I could never be the same;
You are so far behind and could never catch up.
They say I should care, but I never will.

Our destinies are walking different paths;
I am route 66 and you will only ever go back.
Your personal history means nothing to me;
Your memories made you what you are,
But you are trapped by conformity.

What makes a man?  You are made from snow.
I am an iron man and when the sun comes out you will simply go.
You are as deep as glass and don’t make me laugh;
I see through your smile into your empty head
And all I can see is all the meaning that you lack.

Go stand in line, buy another phone;
You are just a clone and nobody that I will ever want to know.
Impress me or detest me;
See my apathy
And realise I do not need to know your opinion,
Because I have my own individuality.

I am a freak;
I am a geek.
I am whatever you call me,
But at least I am unique.
