Its not your actions
that define you instead the
colour of your kerbs.
Timothy Stout Nov 2014
Remind me of your love for me.
I never forget it, but your words soothe me;
Your touch is a comfort to my heart.
Remind me of your goals;
Your aspirations.
These I can forget, but they add to your beauty in my eyes.
Remind me of your troubles.
Baby I want to be there;
I want to help.
Remind me of you.
Oh wait, everything else already does

Us girls
We talk
We walk
And mostly act the same
But we all know when
Something is wrong with you
So don't ignore it
If we truly did not care
We Wouldn't have asked anyway

So next time we ask you
Are you okay?
Speak your mind and tell the truth
Because the worst thing we could do
Is help you with your troubles

It may take a while but as long as you don't give up
We won't give up
Because you never know when a true friend ship may show through

Many may still ask why do we act like this?
The truth is we just don't know

The heavens shake
and the vast expanses tremble,
against the might of the falling stars
the earth is not but a pitiful thimble.

The night is alight
and the darkness bright,
the stars are falling
and the heavens are calling.

The seas thrash
as eternity is smashed.
The birds cease there songs
And the wise ones play out
their warning gongs.

The peoples panic
and rulers flee,
the cities crumble
as the holy ones make
their dying plea.

When stars fall
darkness covers all.

When stars fall
we forget it all,
we forget our love,
we forget our hate,
we forget out troubles
we forget our pride.

We turn tail
we run and hide.
We fall into darkness
deep, deep into darkness.

Our life no longer is ours
When under the doomed spell
of the falling of the stars.

When times are tough and things go blue.
Think of others worrying too
Just because your problems are many don't think others haven't any**

I remember these lines when I was a child.
Never understood the meaning behind others smiles.
I'd complain and grumble to all and sundry
How life's burdens made me weary
Till I paused for a while to take the time to realise.
The problems I encounter are mine alone
People's cups are overflowing
Why make a bone
Everyone's so wrapped up in their strife
Life's so deary, faded are the smiles
To each one his own, the selfish style
The world's gone crazy toppled lives.

Till one day I heard the wise words once again.
Evil has a way to storm you
Till your endurance breaks
Sunk in despair and in pain
The light will slowly begin to fade

You'll long for someone to rescue you
But help is not any where in sight
People are so wrapped up in their strife
It takes a mighty move to turn the tide.

So I'll make a start with me.
Maybe some day somebody will follow
Right now it is hard to see.
I'll give myself a reason to smile
Those wise words will remind
To bury my pain behind my smiles
To reach out to those in pain
An insight in their world to gain

Having said that, things will never be easy
Evil will always try to place hurdles
To make my path greasy
Armed with my Saviour's Love
I shall remember
IT ALL STARTS WITH ME.

HAVE WONDERFUL DAY

You ever get that feeling?
Those times when you try to breath
and you have trouble,
as if something is weighing you down?
As if that person is throwing dirt
on your chest hoping you'll never make a sound?
Do you ever have
have
h-have trouble speaking?
Feel your bones creaking with the effort
it takes to not fight back?
With all the talent we have
and all the things they want,
we lack.
I've got a book stack
for every pretender
that has ever tried to make my life
look like a double-ender
with two ends and no beginning,
find myself grinning along with them sometimes
because ****...
they got me so worked up over nothing.
I'm still on the street corner of the
path to the future
and I'm huffing dreams
because nothing will ever be as it seems,
but it seems that the moon beams
fall upon my body writhing between the blankets
trying to convince myself
to have a sleep untroubled by anger.
Nothing is what is bothering me.
**Nothing is bothering me.

Rough weathers crossed our currents,
Ever so softly,
We drifted together

Harsh currents brought me under
Your wave’s soft lips helped me to surface

Curious waters dunked me below
Again
And Again
With each
Resurfacing became harder
Tides only dropping me
Deeper
And Deeper

Fluttering arms would rise
Reaching for you
But I loosen my grip
In hopes you could already sense my SOS
I learnt what I could not expect
With enough strength I  learned to save myself

I still suffocate
As the water settles
It grows
Harder
And harder
To wait
Yet, I wait
And wait
For the final wave of
The final storm to pass
Realigning our streams

You’re my father and I strongly dislike you.
I can name a hundred reasons for why I do.
But let’s start with the first, how you treat my mom.
I don’t care who you are, you do that, and you’re gone.
My mom is my life, I love her, and she is my protector.
She always has been since you were never there.
The way you talked to her and the way you treated her.
My entire childhood was an emotional roller coaster.
Spending hours with my mom, who was crying in bed,
All because you couldn't keep a calm head.
Then you’d yell at me when I told you what you did.
I was only looking after my mom, I was only a kid.
That’s all I remember, is you’re verbal abuse.
Always with your big mouth always profuse.
Still to this day, you’re still picking on us.
That’s why I packed and I left your house.
I came back home, where my heart belongs.
To stay here with the parent I love, my mom.

I've realized that the people in / my life don't leave / I do. I'm the one running away / from people's lives and perhaps I'm alright with that / and that troubles me
