Un-relentlessly beaconing to us with the ebb and flow of passing time,
Lake Winnipeg crashed against her rocky shoreline.
Creating harmonious ambiance for the star struck budding lovers lost in each others eyes.
Oh contingency, lock your hands with fate.
Make this moment surpass even time.
People say Spring flowers, bring May showers
But those showers bring something even more beautiful
The Sun, the Moon, starry nights, and beautiful flowers
Flowers that I would only ever pick for you, my dear
No other person deserves the beauty that comes from those May showers than you do
And even though flowers last only for what seems like a second
There is a permanent memory that you will always have
Of this moment, between you, me, and these Spring flowers

I think the truth is always right.
Duel, measuredly I do count my steps.

Tired eyes, yes, the night was sleepless.
I hope God will not leave me in the wrong.

My opponent, accepted the challenge, did not blink.
Bustling I always respect the bravest.

Yesterday's evening among the tipsy revellers,
May come up today with fresh blood pouring out.

Helen, please forgive me, later you will understand,
The hot breath only the bullet can cool up.

The day begins, my time has come.
But the coming up evening, I hope, will be starry ....

Night is like a black ocean,
Where you can’t see a thing.
Night is peaceful,
But it’s also deathly,
Shadows everywhere
Whispers in your ear.
The moon glows,
Like firefly’s in the night sky.
When you go out,
You will also die.
The stars are like children,
Waiting for their mom,
To come.
But that something dark,
Is called the night.

In a spur of curiosity, I read about Vincent Van Gogh
His life, death, and all that lay between
And in stumbling upon the knowledge of my sudden interest
I see that his last words were,

"This sadness will last forever."

The ache of them resonates all too well and
an overwhelming sensation of familiarity fills the cavity of my chest

I think about all the things that could of been said and
decide none of them would probably be sufficient to save him
But I still mourn the unspoken

If only I had the chance to tell him
No, it won't

If only I knew him to say
No, it doesn't

This sadness is not permanent, I promise
Yes it remains,
Yes it is still there always, living comfortably in the shadows of our figures
But you learn to see past it
I wish I could tell him that permanence does not exist
That it is an idea man-made
And we are simply living for today

It's funny, how someone who created so much beauty could not find any in himself
In painting a future, ending seemed more promising than hope
So in that wheat field his chest kissed the bullet of a relvover
And he walked patiently towards death

Van Gogh,
Didn't anybody tell you it gets better?
Didn't anyone say that even if it doesn't, you can?

Van Gogh,
Don't you know that nothing lasts forever?
That we are merely existing to make it to tomorrow?

Vincent,
I know this world can be cruel
I know that eventually flowers turn to dust and the sky turns black at dusk but even you could see stars in darkness
You made an entire galaxy out of the night and we are still finding ways to admire its beauty

Vincent,
I know the sun can be harsh some days
I know the air can be too cold for motivation on others
I know sometimes getting out of bed can be a battle with yourself, seeming impossible
I know how it feels to be heavy with the weight of too much
And I am sorry that you couldn't bare it all

But this sadness wasn't made to last forever
Flowers will regrow and bloom again even brighter than before
The moon still shines against a dim canvas
Winter is only temporary and the gloom will pass when the seasons change
Before you know it spring will be here

I wish you could have stayed to see it come,
It is the only certainty in this eternity.

The night crept in, slowly but surely.
The night smothers the city in darkness.
The moon shines bright.
The hall light creeps beneath my door.
I glance at the stars, and see such beauty.
I wonder, are you looking at them too?
Wondering if I’m watching the same stars as you.
My mind seems to be drifting away,
Just like my worries.
If I say starry night, I expect you to think of the
Time you were laying on a grass field
Staring into space, even if you weren’t.
The murky sky and the luminous
Stars put me to sleep.
I am safe and warm in my bed,
Underneath the night sky.
I am new to this website, I hope that you like my poems :)

I see your body
pale white against the night sky
like a luminescence cast from the moon
calm yourself down
and tell your tide to come back
to shore

I've seen you punch wine bottles
until you’re so drunk off your own fist
you can’t see straight
from the stars in your eyes
hoping for a chance
or a shot
or an expectation

I would expect no less
from someone as hopefully hopeless
because when I look at you
I see myself
in the clear lines that run
from your eyes
and stain your cheeks

I wish someone could sail up your river
slam the gate, break the gears
and close up your dam
It’s a ******* shame
your eyes are starting
to only shine from the water lines

Don’t drown in your own sky
Tell your tide to come back to shore
I’m sure you will find
your way

Road trips with old cars
With ski racks and kayaks
Park and open the sunroof
And we can fall asleep
Gazing up at the stars,
Or at eachother, whichever
Who's up for a long escape?

You caressed my body like art
To create this painting of us
On this starry night

With every ****** into my little dipper
You reached my north star
and I came, home

My Cepheus
My man on the moon
The Gods would be proud
