like the finest silk so pure
nature's sweet perfume

A whiff of You on my collar,
drifting towards the door,
in the spaces you graced.

My lungs take you in like my own cells.
You understand my distant nature,
worries, faults, evening regrets
Better than I.

Our bodies hold us at skins length.
When you leave, your scent embraces me—-
closer than a hairbreadth.

So go.

Come and lay your body
upon my empty bed,
and pour your
scent on its sheets

Whisper of your pain
and glee to my pillow,
and leave a lock of your
red-brown hair under it

Only then will I
be able to sleep,
and my eyes will
no longer weep

Lay thy dream in the heat of a swans pose
Tickle thy scent to a babies toes
Press thy taste on a breath of white fire
Wilt as wonder in a willows shire

Chase thy hunger to the lions eye
Flesh thy essence to an eagles mind
Spill thy will to a buzz in hive
Bottlenose swim in an ocean dive
