Zephyr, won't you come
Cast me upon the shoreline?
My head grows heavy.
Gladys P Jul 2014
You laid still beside me, with your eyes closed,
As if you were almost asleep,
Dressed in a lovely, dusty pink lacy dress,
Upon a white satiny sheet,
As I kneeled next to you and weeped.

And I reached out, and touched your frigid hand,
Something I've always been afraid to do,
But it felt like a horrible dream,
And it was quite difficult,
To believe it was you.

At times you appeared alive,
Sleeping through the night,
When they played your favorite soft music,
Surrounded by a gallery of precious family photos and video,
And I felt lost, but you seemed to fill the room with light.

Your spirit now rests in harmony,
Since you were called with the angels above,
But your smile will live forever,
And it's only you, I think of.

With wonderful memories,
When you reached out from the bottom of your heart,
To  see everyone together,
A dream you left behind, and sadly unable to start.

But I believe in eternal life,
And some day we will meet again,
To celebrate and rejoice,
And it will never have to end.

Rejoined in a new world known as paradise,
An idyllic place to be ... without any worries or pain,
Bringing happiness and togetherness once again,
In His presence and reign.
An unexpected death, at the age of 25....found unresponsive in car in a garage, due to carbon monoxide.

Do I make you miss your dad ?
He lives so far from home
It’s been a while since you’ve seen him
Does he still keep you warm?

Do you want me to grow out my beard?
It would turn my face small
But I know you like it when I’m furry
But do you like it when I call?

Do you want me to stay tonight?
Are things going the way you thought?
I try and give you all your space
But is that what you need for what you’ve got?

Silver tongues like the wind on your cheek
For all you’ll listen, twice they’ll speak

Keeping your eyes closed
While your reflection is trying to see you.

These words you left for me
Have taken my breath away
Even though you have left
I have you with me every day.

It took so long to realize
All of it wasn't my fault
The chance to look into your eyes
Is something I've always sought

When I read the words you've left me
I see you sitting there
Writing, crying
Brushing away your hair.

You debate to send it over
Worrying if ill cry
Awaiting my response
The days pass by and by

But what you'll never know
Is I never got your letters

I was never ready for you to go
But for now I guess its how things are
I'll find out where you are
Through ever cut, scrape and scar.

Thy repeated endless cycle
Of dawn the new start
And of dark the end of old
But ever the same despair
On a continuous motion of light and dark
The sense of being nothing more than a rag
Torn and tattered
Oh will there be a day!
To not be used for
To clean the filth of others
Or belittled to feed others egos
alas!
No!
Thy cycle shall reign once again
And time wont mend the wounds
That of a torn rag

Tick, Tock, Goes the clock,
Striking the bell as the hours go by,
Tick, Tock, you hear it again,
Time goes on but I do not.
Tick, Tock, the day goes on,
The sand trickling from lifes hourglass
Tick, Tock, How long will it be,
How long till I'm just a memory,
Tick, Tock, whats this?
Days? Months? Years even?
Tick, Tock, still waiting.
Letting life just wizz right by...
Tick, Tock, Is this the end?
I dont know anymore, what am I waiting for?
Tick, Tock.... Tick, Tock....
Time goes on, But I do not.
Time is a valuable thing. It should never be wasted. Everyone has a life. Everyone has to make the best of it. If you let time slip by, You may never know what you missed.

Falling down with the weight of the earth,
Droplets distinguish themselves among the sounds of the streets.
Ever so lightly, each drizzle sizzles,
Forewarning its surfaces of its oncoming storm.
At the height of its power, it cries out in thunder,
Bawling its skies out for us
To drink
The liquid bullets of the rain’s nourishing force
Or for us to open our empty arms for
The magical heartbeats of the rain’s calming disposition.
It’s a frightening, beautiful thing, isn’t it, this shower?
Everyone cowers at its boisterous rumbles,
Yet marvels at its intoxicating flashes.
Having the potency to ***** you and soothe you and remove you from reality all at once,
Each watery tear intensifies your innermost fears,
Cleansing your past anxieties and drenching your own uneasiness.
So let it rain.
Let the calm before the storm summon serendipity in the form of serenity after the calamity,
For at the end of this tireless twister,
A slight sprinkle will assemble in sweet, sweet crystal clarity.
