You really hit the nail on the head this time, dear
Now's the chance to never let anyone, near
It's my turn to slither inside your thoughts
You better go and perfect those knots
°•°
Please go and check you wrists
And I'll write you down, on my list
I'm the devil, I invade your dreams
And I laugh when I hear your screams.
Unanimous passenger
Motionless in the front seat
Noose dyed bow-tie.

Scavenger of wayward souls
Resurrect the water flowing under pale feet.

Scarlet wishbone lucky charm conch believer.

Hope falls, Faith hills.

An invisible noose
Was around my
Neck
When you told
Me you didn’t
Want me.

You couldn’t tell
How hard it
Pulled on my
Throat
When you walked
Away.

I held onto
The rope choking
Me
When I seen
You everyday
And had to
Pretend nothing ever
Existed between
Us.

The stool slipped
From beneath my
Feet
When I watched
You staring at her
Until you got
The courage to
Ask her
Out.

I swung from
The rope
While I seen
You place a
Ring on her
Finger.

I swung on the hangman's noose
Feeling the too and fro of others
Moments of death, were my fingers
Gracing a moment of chocking silence.

My digits were decorating a moment
As if my grip was still around the spirt
Of a clutching oblivion that gasped
On tightened desperation.

I swung for a while till my fingers lost
Feeling like that of breath losing life,
Silent was my motion and then I was still.
I left it swinging a circle of life gracing death.

And the thing was
I was falling so hard for you
I had jumped off the cliff
Hoping you would catch me
At the bottom

I wore
Your necklace of hickeys
Around my neck

But once I saw the ground
And realized you weren't there
The necklace turned into a noose
And tightened right before
I hit the ground

My last thought was
How relieved I was you caught me
Even if if wasn't in the way
I wanted
I see a ribbon dancing
When I close my eyes
I wonder at its purpose;
Too soon the image dies

Might it thread through silken hair,
Or adorn an elegant frock?
Lace a dainty slipper,
Or flaunt a shiny rock?

Ah, I see it clear--
The purpose of this band
'tis meant to be a noose
To still this heart and hand.

Bring me a rope
and tie a noose.
From the high ceiling
hang it loose.

Grasp the loop,
stand 'top a chair.
Throw it around
my neck if you dare.

I close my eyes
and say a prayer.
One final push,
I hang in the air.

The noose tightens,
stopping my breath
as I fall into
the arms of Death.
Please don't ask me why I wrote this. I just did. :|

your pain
wraps itself
around my heart,
a noose
surprisingly tight
for one
of letting go.

it whispers
against my ears
of tears overflowing,
drowning
what is bottled up
inside.

i empty
your words
into my palms,
allowing each memory
to filter through
my fingers,
every metaphor
to cut through,
each sick longing
to permeate.

i must admit
that i have no use
for your heartbreak,
for i have enough
of my own
to last me
through the night,
but i soak myself through
nonetheless,
allowing
what is taken
from your heart
to find its way
through mine.

each poem
leaves a ****
i dare not
stare at
for too long.
it is enough
that i feel.
it would have been
too much
if i should see,
if i should revel
at what is
unacceptable
even before your eyes.

so tonight,
let me be blind
but feeling,
sensitive
to every throbbing
wound
you've nursed,
to every cry
you've muffled.
tonight, i mourn
with you
the loss
of a love
not worth having.

i weep with you,
love,
not because
i, too, have experienced
your defeat,
but because i, too,
have loved you,
and like
everything else
that rots,
we, too,
shall find
our resurrection
in the decay.
one day soon,
we’ll find
our salvation
in surrender.

You are the scars on my wrist
you are the fresh cuts on my hip
you are the noose hidden in my closet
you are the letter telling my parents that it's not their fault
you are the lie behind every "i'm okay" i've ever spoken
