It all takes place on the mountains where the yellow sun
Meets the sky blue sky in a joining of colour without cliche
The trees look airbrushed on a canvas stolen from water colour
That sky hints and hides so many things both visible and not
Moonshine stills secretly simmer under the generous leafy canopy
A broken-into-pieces warplane sits by the ridge right at the top
Inside a small cave little people party and count their gold
Human hikers brave the heights and risks to hike for a day or two
Wild animals like wolf and bear live without fear up here

To forgive the unforgivable
To carry on as if nothing's wrong
Though you have too much on your mind
And a mountain on each shoulder
To push through the storm
Because you know the calm is waiting
Like a creature of nature who hibernates during the long and cold winter months
Until the warmth of the sun is felt
The ice slowly decays
Invisibly cocoon yourself from all that is around you
And know that better is to come
Better is on its way
Pay no attention to the shadows
For that is what they are ... Mere shadows
The more you look at them ... The taller they grow
Cast luminosity and it shall terminate their existence
For the dark can not exist in the light
But the light of Love will banish all darkness

Bear’s certain
it’s a bear
alone with salmon
it’s a bear
on the mountain
it’s a bear
up a canyon
it’s a bear
eating berries
it’s a bear
sedated, carried
it’s a bear
answer, query
it’s a bear
clown or faery
it’s a bear
once Horace reached
the mountain's
apex
he could go no further
on the lofty ascending
index

now he's perched
high and all
alone
wondering why he wanted
to be in such a rarefied
zone

Mountains conquest
become insurmountable obstacles
as impatience

Turn the sea upside down
Love can do it.

Light the night with warmth
Love can do it.

Move the mountain with a stroke
Love can do it.

Fill the storm with soothing music
Only love can do it!

The Peak of Success

The reason
My professor loved me
So much,
I thought there was
Something to be known.
When I asked him
To give its account,
He smiled and
Had something nice
To be shown.
He opened his diary then,
Some lines he sought.
Once you'd opined,
he said then,
It was the great thought
On the peak of success
(in your mind).
He continued his talk
And told the rest,
It shouldn't be having
The tip and cliff
Or that of the Everest.
A question you'd raised,
What if it is
The Table Mountain
And its land?
You meant, its crest,
Where everyone
Could stand.

As a Man
I am no more able to judge
the contents of my heart
Than I can judge
The distance to a mountain

This is why
After a long trail
I was surprised
how far it was
To meet the crest

It’s also why
At the dusk of that day
The storm looked
So far away
And we chose to stay

The next morning
When I awoke
The snow piled
To the third spoke
But we had hope

Three days later
when we still survived
The drift was up to our eyes
We weren’t gone yet
But the food was

Six days after
Snow still high
Who, but she, would die
Surely I was next
But I had to try

The next day
My food was back
Lying next to me
Cold and still
dead as a nail

Ten days later
they found me
With  a hollowed out chest
On that crest
I told them I tried my best

You cannot tell
The contents  of a mans heart
So as they dragged me in a cart
They saw crying
But I was  planning
On reprising
This is low key a poem about cannibalism

A budding flower,
I egress on the ol' soul retreat,
Where the sun is hot and pleasure tastes sweet.
A busy bee making friends with all that i meet,
While harnessing the power nestled in my own two feet.
She is spontaneous, the spirit that resides.
The emperess i love most, but whom often hides.
Adventurous, as she explores new depths inside.
Fresh squeezed freedom,
Days that taste like lemonade,
All the while disobeying lifes civil masquerade.
Self-discovery,
Illuminating forgotten dusty doors,
Shackles of responsibility breaking loose,
My wild lion heart roars.
The feeling of stepping on a one way flight,
A jelly fish adrift a cool current,
Flowing night after night.
Unlocking ingredients of the person within,
As my inner goddess smirks at me with a welcoming grin.
                            Free,
                               Free to Be,
                                  Free to Be Me
Wild locks, tanned skin with a tooth-full smile,
She sees something in her reflection she hasnt seen in awhile.
Forgive me self, for i have sinned
I let myself forget the refreshing feeling
Of the mountain top wind.

Wrote this after my experience traveling to Hawaii, it is also the first poem that i wrote that I shared publicly. Thanks for reading ☺

Passing by, just the same,
woods are blue and unforgiving,
The wilderness has no name,
That would be known to the living.

By the mountains proud and tall,
Dare you call the prophecy,
Take a silent, quiet stroll,
And don't bring snow down at me.

Walking up when it pulls down,
The sad truth about gravity,
The abyss is calling now,
The voice of still depravity.

Down the mighty side of her,
Dare you climb the way you came,
One wrong step and little birds,
Will eat you and worms, just the same.
Blahgmahablahablablehhhhhhaugghhhhhh...*****...fall in it stop drop and roll.
