Take me somewhere,
Anywhere,
Better than this.
I'm ready to go.
I'm ready to run.
I've got the scissors
To clip my leash.
I've got the key to
My cage.
I'm ready to pack
My past
And set my sights
On the future.
I'm ready to live
For now.
I'm ready for the freedom.
Let me run.
Take me somewhere,
Anywhere,
Better than this.

Education is the key that leads to your freedom.

To be free is in your control.

importantly find the key
the main thing is to find him finally
very important very necessary very
it is important as usual to find
this key you need to find it

but there were days and the wind was coming
and the keys were whether I had
I always went and went but from this
I just froze and stopped now
I can not walk anymore

I'm looking for an answer that used to be
I still have answers that used to be
who used to be with me I'm looking for answers
answers to noisy noisy wind
to the noisy noisy wind outside the window key

How do I explain
To the person who is supposed
To help me with 'any problems'
That they are the problem?
Quick question (read the poems... Yeah the story is true)

As a prisoner of betrayal I still feel the chains around my feet.

Trying so hard to break free.

I need to heal the deep marks in my skin.

I have the man with the key by my side.

He's trying so hard, but the locks are rusty from years in captivity.

Will the locks or the key break first? I wonder.

it was when
i realized that
the glint of silver
resting itself
like withered hands
on worn wooded counters
in the corner of my eyes
still hopeful,

it was then
that i realized it
glimmered from
the key to my freedom,
strung around my neck
within my reach but
beyond my sight

and all i had to do
was yearn for it
and open my eyes to the truth that always was.

I knew confidence was key as a kid
whenever I'd find myself in a singles bathroom
I'd bring my shirt over my head
and wear it like a backpack strapped across my shoulders

For confidence, of course

You took a chance on them
Praying to anyone and everyone
While you wandered elsewhere.

You took the money and ran
But the currency wasn’t paper
It was knowledge nobody knew.

You took their hand and ran
Even though it familiarly slipped away
The symbol wouldn’t mean the end

This time.
Time will tell.
trapped
in solitary confinement -

with the key to the exit
in your reach -

with nowhere to go
and no one to meet -

with nothing to do,
besides watching seconds,
evolve into minutes,
evolve into hours,
evolve into days.

would you leave?
