Sticky scent arouses my head
Through my spine and down my neck
In my chest is where it goes next
This stickiness is now everywhere

****.
A poem based on my horrific incident as a young child with a jar of honey.

poetry runs like blood through my veins
words strung together to emote beauty
or pain, a beautiful necklace wrapped
tightly around my throat, the things
I'm dying to say dripping from
the tip of my tongue. Honey or poison,
both sticking to my gritted teeth,
unable to escape and create
the beautiful poetry
bleeding on the page

honey bee stung hard,
driving in its venom deep,
arresting my pain!

soft skin
sweet smile
my lips kissing yours
while the sunlight

Sweeter than honey,
you were always
on the tip of my tongue.
You were coated
with tiers of sugar.

You reminded me of honey,
sweet and palpable, yet
driven and resourceful,
never decaying or changing.

I am bones.

I am no one known.

I am ashes tricked with honey.
Flesh seeping with milk, but I will find a way.

I will learn to cry...

Thy honey's taste turned sweet to sour,
  though continuing to stick
Ne'er would a starving old black bear
  indulge itself one lick.

My mind plants a seed
In the thought of happiness.
I smile,
Even if just for a moment
I remember what the
Slick taste of honey or
Curling breath
Spreading concave against
My collar bone
Feels like.
Was I drunk when I wrote the first draft of this... maybe

Please tell me your lies

How you saw a shooting star and thought of you and I

Because even when you’re pressed against me

All  my fingers ever touch is your skin as cold as ice

You’re running out of love to give

And it is eating me alive

So cover me in dishonesty

Make it sweet like honey -

I’ll allow these falsities to drip all over me

Because I’m not sure if I am strong enough to face the truth

As I know if you do see a shooting star you’ll think of you and -
