Alone she sits upon her dusty throne.
Her eyes sunken and her long moth bitten gown hung lifeless to her ashen skin.
The unforgiving chime's of time pass her by. Dripping with jewels her boney hand still clung to the broken string of pearls as they roll between the cold stone cracks beneath her feet.
Secrets layed to rest long ago with no voice to tell.
She who has been long forgotten dwells in the silence of her chambers for all eternity.

Lost to the darkness.

thinking alouD can be dangerous
it can causE anger and strife
but i'd rather be honest to People
than tReat them like fool's
if you ask what I'm fEeling
the anSwer remains the same

It takes more than eyes to see
beyond the veil
what is underneath
this path you sail

You have eyes
they won't help you here
The blinding light
the ultimate sight
we don't look too closely
and certainly don't look
directly at it
it's something that
as far as we are aware
has always been there
and always will be

it sends us
its warmth
its light
and from this
comfort
     and peace
will be shared

unseen
by eyes that are
unwilling to look;
at its surface
is a storm of fire
a raging
that cannot be controlled
with the power
to destroy it all

don't look too closely
just smile back

I lost two lefts
and was left
with two rights
A right
on the wrong foot
hid from sight
It fit neat
in my boot
and sweet on
on my feet
but what may be left
may not be right
and yet still
meets the need
My Dear Poet Dec 2021
You ask me
”do you love me?”
I reply
“would you like that I do?”

I ask
”do you love me?”
You say
”would you want me to?”

We wait for the sunset
silently we stare out to the sea
and I’m thinking just how much

I love you

and only if you knew

Residing within these lines,
Words and letters,
A hidden truth I covered with lies

Higher than the vaulted ceiling above me,
Flitting like those painted cherubs
Whom I whispered my plea

And it continues to grow like my faith
‘Cause I buried it well
Where my tears would fall and faint

Catching flying butterflies around
This sanctuary you own
Where I secretly dwelled when found

But I know I should free these butterflies
Lifting me up
Before their frail wings break and drop me where my expectations lie.

Continue to process the words in your head, extracting these whispers which simply linger and listen to each of those gifts delivered.
Pick up on the frequencies which ring in sync, with a tone clear to hear that's felt from within, risen up from our chest to the head as it spreads.

Draw in a line between each speckled dot, removing the fog to make sense of our self, helping unclog built up tears often hidden. When we try to grasp traits from silent ideas, varied trickle effects help let go of the fear.
Prioritised tasks edge out further unclasped, where the forward thinking sinks in amongst us.
Contemplative thought of feelings less said,  as helpful hints given are informed well ahead.

Behind the days bluish glow

I know you're there

I wait for sunset and while away

Until the midnight hour

Where your breath speaks to my soul

Where constellations twinkle

in sequence spelling out your secret name

And as I rise weightless

Leaving the old leaden sheath behind

The cosmos suddenly opens

A stream of concious light

Interconnected highways and byways

And the game of tip chase begins

Are you amongst the stars?

Are those your soul prints amongst the quasars?

I search for you,

With all the excitement

Of innocent eyes devouring the wonders

but you still remain for my efforts unseen...
