Caught in the snap of a wing
With a flap and a clap
And a sting.

Down to the ground like a stone
What a sound with a pound
All alone.

Watched by the flight up above
From that height what a sight
Of the dove.

Twists from the pain to the bone
Quite a sprain such a strain
Tragic tone.

Scooped by yet a net unknown
Panicked fret foreign threat
Worry grown.

Hope’s deceased from those eyes
Now a feast for some beast
No more skies.

Dress the break hurry fast
Half awake crushing ache
Make a cast.

Days soar by seeds so sweet
Seems so spry can you fly
Hoppy Feet?

Day has come grand depart
Slightly numb flutter hum
Flitting art.

To the blue build your nest
Cry your coo for you flew
Before rest.

Rainfall dream endlessly
Silent scream to the stream
Eternity.
You may read it differently than I do, but this is quite possibly the most depressing thing I've ever written.
white wall patch on the floor a lonely broom in a corner, two
ft. from a crooked door.

the foundation's cracked and slowly sinking. 110, hot, yet the sun has set & here I sit, alone,
just thinking.

the saying goes there's reason for all... missed my flight perhaps to answer some cosmic call.

these moments of solitude are golden ...my hand beckons me to procure pen and paper. the walls are all prepped no more need for a scraper.

so out pour the words, like a can of paint, flowing onto the
paper smoothly, with no restraint.

sometimes I feel like my wings
are just holding me down
my mother calls them a blessing
but I’ve never heard of a blessing like this
what god gave me these wings
and thought “this will be great”
as his hand molded my bones
knowing I would never
I could never
that my wings
would never
let me

fly

I sit down at the chair of the dining table.
The sunlight shining in.
Giving it's warm colours to the dull metals of the room
It's light curled around the curves of metal.
It's hands curled around you.
When you danced in your ***** pajamas,
the light took you to my eyes.
The light, one of a shadow play, pictured you in my mind.
In the folds and camera of my eye.
You shone so bright.
A silhouette lined with light.
That's who you were when you danced in the sun.
A mere cartoon in front of my eyes.
Step out of the light.
No....no...
May I join you?
Join you in this dance.
So that I can see your face.
So that I can see, clearly the curves and the round cheeks of yours.
Your brown hair skiing across my face.
Bubbling laughter's fill the air.
You and me...
Dancing in the endless light.
Slowly....we take flight...
In the symphony of lights.
Bello...love you sis. Although you don't actually dance haha

A feather in flight
A cool wind now follows me
The flame now guides me

Don't do drugs, please
Just give them to me
I promise that
I'm right here

And if in someone's
Strength
You need to plead
I promise that
I'm right here

I don't wish for the end
Truly I am content
I look in the mirror
And I'm right here

No matter how it ends
I don't think it's up to me
You still have a friend
I promise that
I'm right here

I took two pills
And I just hope that
They don't make me
Feel

The last thing I want
Is to tell the difference
Between my dreams
And what's
Real

In my dreams
All my dead friends
Are here
A simple hello
From your lost voices
Is all I wish to
Hear

Truly
I know
I had a
Friend

You're all right here

Look upon the milky sky,
See that open patch of civil twilight
          Surrounded by silky white?

Look upon that speeding jet,
     See that soaring metallic (wo)man
Surrounded by freedom and a sunset?

I wish I could fly away
in the freedom of the day
to endure the horrors of the night
just to live for another flight
an escape of mundane life
a pause to everyday strife
a moment in time to forget all that's dark
a droplet of joy creates a ripple mark.

1.
Magpies sang of an avian astray
Silence soared over the African horizon
Last seen heading Serengeti's way
Off your perch daughter of Poseidon

Pegasus tame ascended heavens sky
Looking for smoke risen or a glisten
Over the Serengeti and Masai
Waning nights turned to
                                        waxing fright lead to
                                                                              prayers of frisson

2.
Emergency at Victoria Lake
Three hundred and fifty mile detour
A miner in need, a friend forsake
Beryl, an angel with the cure

Her wings not heroic nor romantic
Just a job at an uncomfortable hour
Lacking of sleep and a dose of frantic
Set sail in the moon, Africa's flower

3.
A life saved and a tank fully nourished
Took on the life of a bird and set course
Peered out and lo and behold
A gleam
a glimmer
a glint
a glisten
a welcomed gift
a green palm among a snow so white
There she lies
Woody's delight

You stay low to the ground
Afraid to move, to make a sound
Why let gravity pull you down?
Look behind you my dear...

You have wings

Wings of mercy that can carry you high
Over burdens, like dark clouds in the sky
Tell me, haven't you always longed to fly?
Just look my dear, you have wings

Once you take flight you will finally see light
The darkness is real, but there's no need to fright
The Son will surely destroy the dark night
He gave you your wings
So take courage
Take flight!
God's forgiveness lifts our burden of sin and gives us wings of mercy

Cylindrical steel take me
         higher than I'll ever soar
                                              Except maybe
after the frantic sprint of rubber hooves has stopped
and I smile into your embrace
                                                                                            once more
