The elements and I
Have a special connection

Earth:
I feel as though,
I am six feet under
Every day and night

Wind:
The gale's greedy fingers
Push me slowly
Toward the edge of the cliff

Water:
The strong ocean
Pushes me under
Continually

Fire:
The beautiful flames
Lick my skin
Slowly burning me to ash

I have a special connection
With the elements
I've always
Had a strange attitude toward libraries
Some
Self-proclaimed peculiar insanity
Engraved and not really reasonable
Imperative

Spellbounded
And occasionally emerging

Thunder roars its booming wrath,
lightning splits the darkling sky,
Ground trembles, mountains shake,
raging waves rise in fury, to dash to
pieces the trembling man, cowering
before the wrath, the raging storm,
Begs for mercy, cries in pain, lightning
smites his prostrate form, earth cracks
and swallows him, waves falling, rushing
in, Man is gone, destroyed in fire, and the earth
stills, the clouds depart, the waves recede to
ocean deep, this the fate of he who walked
the sacred ground, my only son.
Just something that came to me.

Within the bowels of these elements
Where we are tortured and remain forever.
Hell hath no limits, nor is circumscribed in one self place;for where we are is hell,
And where hell is, must we ever be.
And when all the world dissolves,
And every creature shall be purified,
All placed shall be hell that is not heaven.

For a creation was devised of the purest and simplest elements in life
When the calming and smooth sensation of water caressed your bones, it carved canals of strength along the way
Your skin crawled and crept past your defined chin to bind with its lover
and when the tendon reached the muscle, it fused in an unbreakable relationship
Baby, the sight of your eyes shatters the crystallization of the finest glass
And your voice pierces the night fog leaving a path for only you
The kindness of your heart poured into the rivers to feed oxygen to all of those who depended on it
Your body contains the same carbon that creates sparkling diamonds
The majority of the oxygen is the same element creating tornadoes, or when fused to hydrogen to make a hurricane
Do you see how powerful you are made?
Your soft lips are the same lips that can produce sound in an empty canyon
Your bones are the base of your embrace when you sweep me off my feet
That mind is the exact replica that discovered how to survive the times that were a bigger struggle than planned
Despite all of these acts, how simple or extravagant
You are the perfect arrangement of atoms that hold my hand when I am scared to carry on alone
And the same arrangement of atoms that pull me close and kiss my lips
One might say these actions, however small, have a stronger effect than any hurricane, or tornado, or diamond
For you are a creation devised of the purest and simplest elements in life
And you are completely mine

The sea of mystery.
A silent beast,
Drawing those foolish enough to attempt to swim it,
To their watery grave.
The wind of change,
Brings in the new and strange,
And blows out the old and familiar.
The flames of destruction,
Stop for no one.
They consume all in their path.
The stone of steadfastness,
Standing high and resolute.
A silent guardian,
In a foolish world.

Fire
                                           Like Fire, I’m brave
                                                 Courageous
                                                 I have spark
                                                    Passion
                                         Vigorous enthusiasm
                                                 But, like fire,
                                              I’m also irritable
                                    I destroy love, relationships,
                                          And I burn bridges
                                     I burst into sudden anger
                                                    Jealousy
                                  Eruptions of past heartbreaks
But, unlike fire, I can be calm like

Air
                                                I’m carefree
                                                Kind-hearted
                                           Too easily trusting
                                            I’m independent
                                                 Optimistic
                                                   Diligent
                                        Light and free flowing
                                                 But, like air,
                                           I can be dishonest
                                                   Cunning
                                               Backstabbing
                                                Inconsistent
But, unlike air, I am forgiving like

Water
                                                I am devoted
                                                     Modest
                                                    Intuitive
                                                     Loving
                                               But, like water,
                                          I’m taken for granted
                                             Often over looked
                                                     Unstable
                                                   Unreliable
                                                       Rigid
                                                        Lazy
                                         Violent and moody
But, unlike water, I am humble like

Earth
                                              I am cautious
                                                Resistant
                                              Responsible
                                                   Sober
                                               Ambitious
                                               Respectful
                                                Punctual
                                            But, like Earth,
                                               I’m touchy
                                                  Timid
                                                Scornful
                                  And periodically dormant
I wrote this one around February. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Parsley and thyme
Comb the earth with your fertile fingers
You tell me that you want to bloom
And fruit like the plants do

As grapes turn to wine
The idea ferments with the seasons
Lain on the willow boughs
Nothing but our breathing and the starlight

I'm gonna take you to the whisky springs
Barefoot walk in the summer
You whisper the sweetest things
This child will have water for its father
and earth as its mother
Plant me inside of you
We'll do it twice if you're eager
I love to hear you sing out my name
Feeling hotter than a fever in the night

Love Apr 2015
You call me a fire,
I call you air.

You say I'm always the light in the darkness,
I say you're the one who keeps me burning.

You told me how fast I stole your heart,
I told you you always had mine.

You hug me when your cold,
I hug you when I needed you.

You carry me when I fell,
I watched you fly.

You taught me how to love,
I held you to the ground.

You tell me I burn all I touch,
I asked if you were burned.

You laugh at my antics,
I cry at all your wounds.

You tell me you love me,
I tell you, we'll always be the best of friends.

'Humanity' and 'Survival' cannot have their definitions written on the same page of a dictionary.
That fancy title u ask?
I cud'nt thnk of an appropriate title and 'Untitled' looks too bland.
I'll be more than glad if you can suggest some name/title for this.
