If it doesn't grow by 10 years
Never expect, after 12 it grows

Save the effort

Loving her was like a good meal.
An unexpected moment in the universe when everything goes right.
Whether the chef changes the recipe.
Or I just so happened to catch the place on a slow day.
An otherwise busy, fast paced world.
Everything from the complimentary water, to the appetizer.
The main course.
This was how good to be in love with her felt.
There was no such thing as placing another order.
Substituting one item for another.
Without need for a menu.
I wanted all that she had to offer.
This was a meal that couldn't be recreated.
Everything presented perfect on the plate.
The seasonal greens and meat overlapping what's thought to be imperfect.
We often take for granted the simple things.
Occasional efforts that what we need most can easily be found at request.
This isn't always the case.
We authentically lose anticipation doing so.
Creating different realities of ourselves.
Rather than learning to accept.
Soaked in juices, the aroma seeping through the air.
She sizzled, cracked, and popped.
This experience that approached.
This was eating at it's finest.
Preparing knife and fork.
Loving her without wasting a single crumb, morsel, or drop.
This was me biting into something that I've never before experienced.
Giving each other what we've both desired.
The fulfillment of one another.
Exploring portion after portion of this delicious rendezvous

i have started a fire that i tend to
chase with gasoline, in effort to put it out.

i have obliterated all in my
path of destruction and can’t seem to
slow down.

Do you ever wonder if they care as much as they say they do?

Why can't they answer your message?

Why do they only give a few brief words?

Why does it feel like you're the only one trying?

If you have theses or similar questions
then it might be time to cut yourself free and wait.

Wait until they ask you how you are.

Wait until they answer your message.

Wait until they try to put some effort in.

If it never comes, then they don't.
don't just wallow in your sadness either though

More

The more you write, the more you will be able to write.
The more you do, the easier it will be to do.
The more you try, the less you will need to try.
The more you read, the more you will write.
The more you hear, the more you will be able to see.
This is my way to write poetry.

Everything he was,
everything he did-
was a constant effort
to be true to the image
he had of himself.

He reminds me of struggle
to be someone else
while believing that he is
struggling to be himself.

by what unit is good enough measured
is it the calluses and cuts on a hand
the crack of a sore back
or by the number of times
skin meets pavement

is it an neglected apartment
the dust collecting on beloved projects
or number of friends
no longer waiting for a reply

tell me
to whom do you bottle your blood for
till when do you wash the sweat off
for what do you owe this pain
so where is the limit

              will I/they ever be satisfied

can i take a break yet
or is this not good enough

Nothing hurts like love

I have tried to always be there.
I have tried to help you with your stupid hair!
I have tried to care…
But I don’t.

I have tried to see our future, to see through.
I have tried to share with you all my truths.
I have tried to love you too…
But I don’t.

Down every river there flows a course.
I think I want a divorce.
We are not married, but we are us.
I think it’s time I took a better shot at love.

I just don’t see my life being with yours.
I just don’t think about the two of us.
I just don’t think I can carry on.
You have broken my heart and stolen my trust.

I no longer believe.
I can no longer be,
A part of your stupid story!
I should say sorry…

But I won’t.

Everybody wants a bite of love
yet, not everybody wants to chew.
