Freedom:

A
  dragonfly
   perched on an antenna
     of a car.

Free to sit
Free to watch
Free to leave
Without causing a big scene.

the chase is the start of Cora's dream
in which she is a woman, Persephone
Persephone does not run nor hide
as she is seized by the dragon below the tide

she disguises her sorrow with beauty and grace
as she soars to live in the Other Place
the dragon is a man of whom craves her love
but she flies away, a mystical dove

the man wants Persephone by his side
but he is alone when spring arrives
no one at all can hold her back
she holds your life close in her eyes of black

as the flowers bloom in Cora's dream, all see the wings of Persephone
Persephone does not call or cry
she ends her captivity above the sky
Cora, Persephone, artful and strong
she has owned her life all along

Cora's dream
she is queen
the myth became her memory

mysteries revealed, secrets uncovered
ruler of seasons, angel like no other
Majestic One, she has no home
in Cora's dream, she was born to roam
she creates the storms and dries up the rain
she is a woman you cannot obtain

Cora's dream
she is queen
the myth became her memory
inspired by the mythology of the goddess Persephone, this poem is a story of a woman discovering her divinity and independence

Slumped into the late linen
sniff scent of stiff cigarette
burned into the chair
Hey, she used to be there
per fumigation
embalmed
momentary into the chair

The ceiling is shifting like little snakes
whisky balm in a sweating glass
I haven't touched it, it's watering down
down into water and alco-seltzer
to ease my grumbling soul

Those snakes,
turning and writhing in the ceiling
where is she?
I smell her
forked tongue

You can't smoke inside anymore
not even in the old buildings already full
tar roof, tar boots, tar toys in the evening booth
french fries dipped in milkshake
sprinkled with salt and glucose

mmm good for the muscles
and the throat

she loved doing that kind of stuff,
weirdly enough.

sweat on my fingers
breathing heavy
studying the snakes with the bright eye
of a Darwinian belief

they will die,
I will die,
but not before we fulfill
our seething purpose

they lost their wings?
Is that why the Chinese
and the Greeks
and the Norse
and the Volks
and the Rabbinicals
claimed punishment was befit a creature
so little, yet so dangerous

(Monkey in the tree no snake will eat me)

to be swallowed whole and digested
born to die, fed to be born
ouroboros

slithering her **** tail
into the mouth of heaven
for a second
then shuttled out the door

it is dark as onyx in the night
the stars shine like scales above
searching for the right snake
to emanate
and create
new life
for once

Awaken Star Dragon,
dance endlessly astray.
A universe on fire,
please take me away.

Astral wings we travel,
to a distant land.
Lift me from this moment,
of endless falling sand.

Why
should I feel
inferior by the opinions
and comments of others around
Opinions are never facts so dust it off
and move on and up
Though I know
I'm insecure
about myself
and the future
I know I'm a
dragon with
the breath of
fire All those
determined to
destroy me the
best way is to
set me on fire
watch as I die
watch as I burn
bask in that light
but know this
I won't **** my-
self over you
I will **** my-
self for me
burn away the
shame rise from
ashes and roar
like a dragon
Because once
I've hit the bot-
tom, my wings
begin to stretch
the way to go
now  is     up
People don't seem to understand how their words can destroy others.
Their words have alot of weight. One word is all it takes to push someone over the edge! Words are like arrows, once you let them lose, you can't take them back! You can only watch as they hit the target.
I know what it's like to be on the edge, I know what it's like to feel like you're going to self-destruct. I feel like that every day of my life -  wondering if I am worthy, if I'll ever be good enough. Fighting off depression as well as anxiety. I'm one HUGE bottle of nerves. But I owe it to myself to keep feeding my own inner fire and my dragon. To rise like a phoenix, roar proud like a dragon and take flight.
One's opinion of you can hurt but it's not fact.
Never will it BE a fact.
Anyway, I appreciate everyone here on HP.
You all add to my positivity. I feel at home here because people are so supportive.
Thank you.
Be back soon!

Give me a sword,
And I’ll slay the world.
The dragon I’ve known,
My friend so old.
A star watches the fight.
It sees,
It shines,
It cries.
Then the warm whispering wind...
She sweetly flows in.
Her warrior fierce,
Her warrior pierced.
With the arrows of the world in
His soul...
In my soul...
In our soul...
Though the world fights back,
And the world fights hard,
I have my sword
And the wind and stars.
The world is mine tonight. It will tremble before me as though I'm about to bisect it with a mighty sword.

We all need to find the will
to slay the green-eyed dragon,
who is deluded by the idea
of keeping that sweet song
for his ears alone.

Selfish in not wanting
to share the flame
of love.
Be wary about the ones who are jealous of you.
Their potential to harm is dangerously high.
They'll always be eager to take you down.

Be back soon
