“In sickness and in health
till death do us part”

She exploded in my heart
threw me off my feet

Across a living room filled
with nights only she can host

I spoke of her to those across the world
who will never experience what it is
to fall for a city
it is beyond patriotism
this ineffable love for a sleepless phenomenon
who homes strangers
shook the world
with shockwaves
that equaled the chemical imbalance
its people have for their city

Under the debris of sparkling glass
she was broken
there’s so much she can withstand
even when we always stand by her side
shards engrave themselves under thick skin
poking at the body that still believes in love at first breath

At a heart that does not know how to stop
At a will-power that questions its creator about its strength
At a body that homes an identity beyond this world
alien to it

toxicity hovered in lungs

And across skies
blushing clouds
turning them pink

Sunset wasn’t serene

The ocean cradled bodies

on their way to the afterlife

They cried salty tears

Fed up.

Her soil has felt the stomping anger of grieving mothers, fathers, husbands
families
the last words of suffocating victims who never lost hope till

The angels opened the doors of the sky

To welcome new brave souls into the heavens
to lead by example
their white coffins
wed the earth with the skies
they watch over us

Brooms brushed her face
Hands held others
Homes homed
Revolutionists revolted
Nooses were hung
judgment day is knocking
at our hearts
and mind you, we are known
for our hospitality

She cannot cry

She never did

It never suited her

But she sure knows how to roar
how to devour
parasites feeding at her immortality

I wear your ring around my finger

“In sickness and in health
till nothing does us part”

I didn’t get the memo
to evolve -
stop sticking my hands
into the fresh-fire,
as if some part
of my visceral mania
wants to ****** my knuckles
with the ashes of Prometheus.

Every day that I don’t crash my car
is a white-hot remnant
of the suffocation of boredom,
like my life is on pause
until I’m nose down in a gutter
or in a line that I keep trying to cross.

There’s evaporated acid rain
condensing within every hangover,
each time the sun
rises; I rip down my fingernails
climbing to reach it,
gasping down
at the pulsating impulse
to make something terrifying
out of paper maché
and broken bottles
and bruised ego.

In every grave, there’s an I,
subtly watching
for the apotheosis;
a moment of sickly-yellow violence
igniting once more
any excuse for a fight
for fame,
for a feeling.
Something I wrote for a first year university creative writing class.

He uses the garden as an escape from reality.
The flowers dance with Him,
smiling even though they are drowning in a pool of despair.
While He thrives in nature,
reality cannot be escaped,
as nature chokes on humanity’s affair with destruction.

Unaware, Unhindered...
My fallen flowers caught the great fire...!
So lovely were they when along with the butterflies they adorned my garden...
Smokey flames erupted from my castle...!
So beautiful it was when along with the starry sky... it adorned my habitat...
But one day  an eternal inferno summoned them all and they were reduced to ashes...!

Who was the mother of that inferno who gave birth to such a wrathful son?
And shockingly...I realised it was I ,who in order to keep my ego had created so...
How I long to return to the moment my mind had decided to keep itself in lieu of burning my heart!

Now even the flood of my tears could not stop the inferno from destroying every thing that I had so tenderly created with trembling hands!

Today as I stood amidst the ruins of my yesterday... I asked myself a question which I knew I had no answer...

Will I ever be able to start it all over again with a still greater trembling hand and at least in this lifetime?

Anger can destroy everything in the blink of an eye... Our relationships, our image, our hard works... It's so important that we are aware of the lasting damages that anger of a moment can cause for a lifetime! Just wanted to leave you with this thought! Thank u so much for reading! ❤

Far across the water sits a little Chinese man,
who has his own ideas of life's most desired plan.

On the other side of the ocean is yet another guy,
whose plan doesn't agree with a Chinese minds eye.

Petty is their game but they just don't see it so,
and so they push each other in a destructive to and fro'.

Two school boys being bullies is the policy that they choose,
Both belligerent and stubborn, both determined not to lose.

Surely they must see that the other guy wont ever give in.
Preferring total destruction over allowing the other guy to "win".

They cant see that neither side will ever accept to give,
Both intent to destroy it all than allow us all to live.

All can see it coming but no one dares make a sound,
until the mark of mankind's passing is just craters in the ground.
Xi Jinping... Donald Trump... for **** sake... grown up. The world is reliant on you guys being sane and sensible. You must know there is only one place the road you are currently following leads. Losing for everyone isn't the right course. Reach out a hand and change the future.

Experiencing domestic violence
Sitting here in the silence
You
Were forgiven
Too much
You
Start to think
Your actions
Were just
Pellets
When it left
Destructions
And ghost-towns
