Night’s still
Tireless hymns
Of the night
Echoes
Sky’s lit
With brilliant
Stars
Time to let go
Of weariness
Peace of
Darkness
Silent warriors
Fending off
Tiredness
Night wraps
Itself warm
Cozy cocoon
Soul rests
To emerge
Refreshed
At dawn
Night’s still
Till dawn beckons

My dearest tea
you greet me sir,
take my left hand
your spoon astir.
i let you stand until just so,
beloved sip of company
i've come to know.
your brim is steaming,
and from behind you
early rays of glory
streaming through
a dawn awakened
window to a world
where life is teeming.
but wait, a few more
minutes with you...
let me lose your steady
brew just slow and quietly
as the glistening dew
appears, and winks
me from my
dreaming.

When birds start to sing
And the day dances a new
When the grass waves its arms
Shining with morning dew
Where the worlds resets
For just a little while
For five seconds troubles are forgotten
And we allow ourselves a smile
The evening shall lay waste to the day
As it retreats over the horizon
The day shall counter strike its way
Up unto the morning
And i'll be waiting and watching as i do
For the end to the neverending feud
And the beginning of true solitude
Envy can tear at me, from dawn unto dusk
But my passion can conquer that unrighteous lust
Yet love may be my enemy still,
For there is nothing righteous about abandoning free will.

the heavy heart is a heathen
corrupter of better nature
committer of soul-treason

fueled by the miserable notion
that death is twilight
and life is dawn

to flight, to flail
to rage, to rail
to weep, to wail
to no avail

to unhope

and all of this minus the mercy

gaze into me not with the eyes that fortress
a lie, just like the glint of dew that conceals
the tinge of dark in a dying petal;

gaze into me with the heart that bares
every faltering breath, just like the bud that bursts
into a flower in the silence of dawn.

there is no other choice, as long
as we long for an everbloom
of love.

The fear of the night comes creeping in
Will it hold danger
Or some other unexpected mystery?
The panic is evident with no sense of safety
Just the unknown around every corner and
Only the hope of knowing
That dawn will come...
Eventually.

Quiet, gentle daughter,
for the day is beginning,
and we have yet to pray,
to the many thousand
beginnings come and gone,
lost to the faded past,
and to those that shine ethereal,
that light of change and promise,
of tomorrow's new day.
The light of new dawn has always been a joyful and relaxing experience for me.
