the large wooden door to my throneroom is tossed aside with a bang, an army of demons storming inside. i observe their gathered number calmly. i could **** each and every demon taking part in this revolt with ease. the problem is, i have no fight left in me. i've relapsed into my addiction to human blood, and i have no strength to cut off the rebellion. i'm exhausted, and i keep hearing my own words from that fateful night in the church so many years ago, knowing they could never become reality,

we deserve to be loved
i deserve to be loved
i just want to be loved

so, when the demon army orders me to step down from my throne, i agree. even if they sentenced me to death, i probably wouldn't fight it. yet, the demons are too afraid to attempt execution. instead, they allow me to return to my old profession as a crossroads demon. my work as a crossroads demon was the only thing i've ever felt truly confident in. i loved the job, and I was the best in the business. after all, i am king of the crossroads.

Attempts to discover why
What difference do we  have
Trying to reach the wisdom of the sky
Why there's hate and love

We are just a part of that  could be people
Our belief are merely of myth and fantasy
A true wisdom only until the reaper take our soul
The saddest part of our destiny

Lucky are those who seems to know it all
Preachers and priests who are so faithful with their belief
But are they not part of that could be people
A belief that might only be of unicorn and elf

Those assumed their self unblemished call this poetry of fool
Condemned this words to the greatest
Condemned this poet who became a tool
But if you think you are part of that could be people... then let it travel to the rest....

Finally reaching the crossroads, we will find out, having been unaware
unfulfilled obligations still remain below, but then, sadly we didn’t care
past opportunities will forever be lost, leaving everything else behind
failing to have prepared, a loss only now beginning to plague our mind

Life’s journey has brought us here, we at the end of the line
existence in a new form, truth finally revealed, heaven’s sign
decisions are required, before we enter through our last door
destiny no longer to ignore, our time in this world is no more

Crying for those we are about to leave, those good-byes never seem to suffice
so many engulfed in self-deception, with bloated egos facilitating a life of vice
time no longer a barrier from the truth, and we will now clearly be forced to see
how we foolishly wasted precious time, thinking our own pleasures were the key

When we breach the crossroads, there will be no time left for us to reflect
all that has happened, now a memory, upon which loved ones try to connect
neither gold nor silver can do us any good; money has no value in the grave
squandering spiritual investments, eternal happiness we can no longer pave

When trust is the foundation of faith, then hope still exists, it will never take flight
what is required of us is an inner strength borne of conviction, and the will to fight
accepting nothing as too difficult, diligence is the goal to be kept constantly in sight
by utilizing the power of prayer, since it reaches above the tallest mountain height

You’re alive, so never give up no matter what they tell you, you alone hold the answer
when hearing the sarcasm and negativity of those around you, avoid them like cancer
remembering always you were created in G-d’s image, the entire universe will attest
a chance for eternity awaits, but first we must pass our, individually tailored, divine test

To which category of human did you belong?, of us will G-d most certainly inquire
Did you honor all men created in My Image, or did you revel in hatred and conspire?
for you to recognize My plan for a perfect world, by being an active participant I did await
thereby bestowing upon you this ability, hoping you follow My plan, using “Good” to create

I put before you the chance and ability, did you spread love, or choose to hate?
either to follow or negate evil from within, this power to choose your own fate
sound advice is to think wisely and choose nobly, and to do whatever it takes
prepare now while there is yet time, before it’s too late to fix those mistakes
To which category of human do you belong?

During life you go through many obstacles.
Some of which are where you need to choose between two things.
Left or right?
They call this a crossroads.
You see some people say listen to your heart and it will guide you the right way.
But will it?
Your heart is as cloudy as your mind and if your mind can't choose what makes you think your heart can?
There are so many rights and so many wrongs.
But you won't know if it's wrong until you go down that road and see what's to offer down there.
If all fails put the gear in reverse and go down the other road, if it's not to late that is.

The way of truth
Is a beautiful sunset painted in the sky
The colors so vivid,
My eyes smile with contentment and joy.

Standing at the crossroads
Knowing the wise road, in which, to travel
Straining my ears to hear that still, small voice
Beckoning me to let him carry me.

As we pass through a massive canyon
So immense, amazing and spectacular
Unable to control the sheer joy in my heart
So, I take a picture in my mind that will never fade.

So tired of pretending that I have it all together
As the walls I have created, tremble and shake
I will them to fall and allow me to feel every emotion
As my imaginary life seeps into reality.

The broken pieces of glass that have shattered
Blinding my eyes so I can no longer see
Squinting my eyes, the world around me
Leads me home again.

Roadways upstairs, collide in my mind
Drowning my tomorrows, yet they found how to survive
Living divided, between things living and dead
I'll take my dance with death,
for I no longer mind the chance

No more to give.

Not much more I can take.

So where does that leave me?

                 **Stock piling whatever
                      I have left in this
                  inventory of memory.

We are nearing the cross roads
the end had never been so close
We both feel it in our souls
as the winds of time propel us.

An uncertain future
filled with beautiful and dark mysteries
await us patiently.

At the cross road
not too far from now
I won't shed waterfalls
at the painful break.

Walking our separate paths
holding on to a piece of each other.

Memories of our past stay
latched around our hearts.

For I love you forever
And,
Always will I remember.
some friendships are never meant to last. but that doesn't mean you stop loving them. they shall always remain. always.

Crossroads may break ties
Or patch hearts

And as we go our separate ways
When shall we meet again?
With nothing but a map in our palms
And eagerness in our hearts
The time that passes with each passing
Is slow to end though quick to start

Half-world travellers
And wanderlust
Will we still carry
The same old dust?
The stains that plague us
Though we abhor them
Against our own will
Define us

Laughter lines
Italicised
And bolded underlines
Slowly time affixes its mark on us
And the creases make a path

Even then as days of past
Will spirit still be stayed?
When we endeavour to change our paths
Will we find our way back home?

The light is on
As always is
And hope is keeping vigil
Some shall never return
And even if they do
Things change
And feelings pass

The glory days
Have come and passed
And we will never be
As golden as we were
Time can never bring us back
To remedy our wreck

Can we ever move forth
With the lingering longing for the past
To relive days of serendipity
And to find the people we lost along the way
That only begged us to stay

Bravest is the soul
Who can master the tides of past and present
And forge on with nostalgia at the back pushing
While running into the imminent unknown

Perhaps transience is inevitable
But so shall transcendence be
Happiest are the souls
Who are full of hope and vigour

And though crossroads they break apart
Perhaps we'll meet elsewhere afar
