Trapped at the crossroads
We are caught in the heat haze
bound to each other
A haiku inspired by the Japanese Vocaloid song "Kagerou Deizu/Heat Haze Days".

Windows so thin, the ice outside is in your veins. I saw it in the way you wouldn't look at me. I recognized it in the answer you gave when you refused to speak to me. You used to say they can't ignore you if you don't give them anything to ignore.

I am still shaking from the last time I tried to warm you up. I wasn't prepared for your frigid stares, I didn't know I could feel so distant from someone I grew so close to. You felt like home until one day I found all the doors locked and realized I never recieved a key.

Clouds so thick, you forgot the sun could shine. Even if it did you would miss it, still hiding from reality in your bed and in your head. You thought you were just sleeping in on the anxiety but I haven't seen you in weeks. You are a stranger to even yourself these days.

Maybe you were right. Maybe you called it when you said I was scared of moving forward. Maybe that's why I still put off buying that **** car. Because I know if I do, I'll find myself packing a bag and running from all the things that used to hold me to this place. I have no reason to stay put.

you do magical things to me
bring out the the compassion and hope
you entice the gentle heart in me
i know its because you are magical yourself
i see it in everything about you
i see it in how i am captivated by your eyes
by the suggestion of you in the deepest dreams of my soul
like dreamlight crafted in hearts warmth
you haunt me

standing here at my crossroads
with you sweetly on my mind
will i ever find my way home to hear your gentle laugh
to your tender embrace
will i ever really have a home again
now that your so far away
dreamlight crafted in hearts warmth you will forever remain

forever here at my crossroads
edge of the deep sea
and the wild lonely desert
forever looking to distant shore and the memory of you
the taste of you on my soul
dreamlight crafted in your hearts warmth
means so much to me
you are the song my heart breaths
guess it works better now that i chopped off that last line

My trail of thought left with the train in the distance
Do not disturb my blissful ignorance
Because it's a long way to jump from here
Adrenaline rushing through a tunnel of thoughts
As tangled as a tube map
I stand at the crossroads of my life
Mindlessly dodging traffic.
Apples can come in all shapes and sizes,
Two apples they are not the same,
See one and it's in your hand before it realizes,
Choosing the right one is part of the game,

They can look so sweet from where you sit,
But once you bite into that rotten part,
It changes your whole perception of it,
And can send and arrow through your heart,

To me I'm an apple not wholly bad,
To you the shiniest and most delectable you'd seen,
Sadly more bitter than you what thought you had,
But with time to ripen fit for my queen.

For apples to be we are both bruised,
We have been hurt and reduced,
Some visible, and some I denied the clues,
Yet together us perfectly flawed apples have fused,

Like a pair that only comes in a dual pack,
Still we cannot unfeel what we have felt,
Nor take back the damage i have dealt.
I vow to bring us back on track.

Let me be your sun,
Your source of growth,
Your only one,
So hear my oath.

I will be your love, your inspiration,
Like the apple of your first impression,
We will roll down hills and across nations,
For this is the long run and not a single session.

I see now that we could endure any weather
From stormy oceans to scorching heat
And one day i hope our seeds grow a tree together
That no other apple could possibly beat.
A something something that flowed through me one late night

I was walking through a forest
In the dreamscapes of my sleep
Beside the tree that was nearest
A lady on her knees would weep

I asked "What is the matter?"
She replied "All men are the same,
All bad none any better
Breaking promises with no shame

Then I was walking by the beach
A boy building castles in the wet sands
Hastily he would mold each
No *****, no shovel just hands

I asked " Why the hurry?"
He replied " The tide is furious
Every now and then quickly bury
My castles built so glorious

Then I was at a crossroads
An old man stood at the middle
At his sides were swords
On his back a worn fiddle

I asked " Grandpa are you lost?"
He replied " Too long have I been gone
From the home I long the most
I've forgotten the way, now I stand alone"

Then I was staring into a mirror
But no image I could see
The absence of logic was horror
The dream into a nightmare now it be

I wish I become not like the three
Something not worse but good
Back into the dream I be
Then into a void I stood
