The clock is ticking
Falling into the blue
She acts like it’s not
But I know it’s true
The day will come
The moment arrive
And whatever is there
Will slowly die
And on this day
She’ll take up her part
And follow the others
Into the dark
Drifting away
On the glassy sea
Waving joyfully
To miserable me.
it's at night -

when the world is still,
when the only sound echoing through your mind is the ticking of the clock,
when everyone is asleep -

that things really start to feel more alive than ever.

- v.m
my thoughts are alive at night and i hate it.

Shadows dance upon the walls
The clocks incessant tick
Why am I awake right now?
Because insomnia’s a ****
Why am I awake zzzzz

Tick, Tick, Tick
Goes the heart clock
Longing to know
True loves taste

Tock, Tock, Tock
With every heart tick
Hoping your first time
Isn't all a waste

Bizz, Bizz, Bizz
Sing the belly bugs
Wondering when
You'll be with them again

Buzz, Buzz, Buzz
Fly the butterflies
Love floats the heart
At the strike of ten

Bang, Bang, Bang
Pound the mind drums
With every kiss
Beats true loves song

Hum, Hum, Hum
Pulse the static veins
With every touch
Sends a current miles long

Tick, Tick, Tick
Heart Clock
Tock, Tock, Tock

I remember the stillness of that night;
and the silence we felt because nature doesn’t really count as sound.
I remember the cat-tails we’d dip in kerosene
and watch the glean of the light that rode the coat tails of summer into fall.
I hear a clock deep inside me that counts the seasons I’ve watched; tic tock tic tock
Someday this is going to stop.
It threatens to stop.

Every clock stops,
         it just depends which chime.

Yours was twenty seconds ago..

This grandfather is never being wound again.

these lips through them
the universe passes the current
the speed is incredible where I am
and where did I get my lips unexpected
and immortal when it was a clock
in this world
this current
where does this force
not allowing me to speak normally
then the tooth is now the lip
then some kind of infection
why is that
o farm days
o water
in a bottle

mismatched furniture
a few dishes in the cupboards
a couple random blankets and lamps
a pan and a mug or two in the sink
a broken clock above the fake fireplace
a fake jackalope head on the fireplace

a couple college kids' apartment
my brother and his roommate
it isn't much but it feels like home

Forever is wishful timing,
but I'd spend my life with you
just to find out how long we can make it last
if we are only made up of minutes and seconds like the ticks on a clock,
I'd do anything at all to make those arms turn,
just to keep your hands on me
