her tinderbox mind
burst into flames of mad sadness's at any moment
that will burn like a river of tears
she will strain at speaking just the right words
terrified that she will get it wrong
so she paints her one word at a time tale
in brilliance colors on bathroom stall windowpane
hoping to compensate for all the written fears
no frilly graybeard teddybear to save the queen of forever's this time
so she will lay in her lovers arms
staring up at the wonder wheel of stars
wishing upon all the falling hero's
that she had her knight
that she wont be alone for all her tomorrows
that just one hero has survived to craft her
tell her who to be
how to not feel the tears

brown bear, brown bear,
What do you see?
A sky of shining lights
slowly fills your dark cavity.

brown bear, brown bear,
What do you hear?
A rebellious, rumbustious crowd
yelling with hate and cheer.

brown bear, brown bear,
What do you smell?
A rising fire of hatred
that always seems to dwell.

brown bear, brown bear,
What do you taste?
The sweet satisfaction of victory,
but a bitter mouthful of disgrace.

brown bear, brown bear,
What do you feel?
nothing.
None of it seems real.
Pain was the only way she knew how to be

Pain was the only thing she knew
The only constant in her life
The only company she had
So she embraced it
Till one day it was too much
for her to bear

The moon got used to the sounds
Every night,
the weeping
Tears were all she had

Another night came
but this time
the sounds are gone
and so is she
Sometimes the pain is too much, and you are left with just one choice that is giving up.

Growing up
Too often a regret
Too often synonymous
        With morose days
                And nostalgia at every corner.

I cannot sleep without my teddy bear
It makes me feel like a protector
               It makes me feel protected
                       And loved
                                 And not so alone.

I will grow up in due time.

For now
       I feel a strength
               A warmth.

So the salmon soars
And the bear bitterly
feasts on their flesh.

His voice is a roar,
Yet his heart does flee
At their very sight.

A shame it may be
That a beast so kind
Causes them to die.

He wants to be free
from fate in his mind,
He can't explain why.

Is it truly sin
if one feels regret,
and would rather die?
The fall might pour into the river,
Water at the bank in its length,
Yet whatever fine trouble arouses
Don’t ever ask why, through it all

My loved ones, they never showed care in the dark
Much like my colleagues to me,
Like a tree in the rain,
I hold out in such vain
Because I never question nature or its reasons

The tenor of my time,
In all our ambience—
Bear in mind,
Bear in time—
Please!
Don’t ever ask why.
Love, is it the way you make me feel
Like you’re the only thing that’s real.
Is it the softness of your eyes,
Never telling me lies.
That soft brown glow
Oh, how it shows.

You’re the one who always cares
When all the world can do, is stop and stare.
You’re the one who’s there for me
When others just won’t let me be.

The guys who came, the guys who past
You’re the one that always lasts.
Through death, through life
You’ve helped through strife.

You’ve been here all the while.
Stopping those tears and making me smile.
Giving me one last chance, one breath more
Keeping me from my internal war.
Till night, my deary
My love. My Friend. My beary.
This is a poem I wrote back in high school. The assignment was to write a poem about an inanimate object. I chose to write about a teddy bear (named Beary) that I had since I was 3 years old.

She cannot sort the grain. After all these trials, I have been lost yet again. —But fairy tales have been this ruthless before; myth has given me wings, has painted my shoulders with fur, with scales, with scars. Legends have broken me down into all the smallest invisible facets of myself until I could do no more than vanish entirely. Who will love me behind the walls? Within my keep, another girl's impatient hands will light the candle to gaze upon sleepless eyes, and wake within me all the anxious demons hiding inside Pandora's Box.

In the forest stood tall admirable pine trees,
As we walked hand in hand with ease,
Upon a blanket of snowy and frozen grounds,
Hearing voices and beautiful sounds.

While the cold winds softly echoed through the night,
Bringing harmonious whispers, as we glared into the moonlight,
And the trees were beautifully dressed in white, on this Christmas Eve,
With clusters of long evergreen needle leaves.

The breeze murmured through the branches,
Gently waving making advances,
Saying "please take me home,"
"I am stuck in the cold" in a low tone.

Near lied an adorable reindeer,
Whispering words we barely could hear,
When we walked closer, it fearfully ran,
As fast as it can.

Joined by a polar bear,
Who sadly said "I am scared,"
And we quickly selected our tree,
Though it was quite difficult to see.

When we walked away and glanced behind,
The adorable creatures, followed appearing quite divine,
With laughter and smiles,
Softly saying "we hope to see you again," and their eyes looked as radiant as a child.
An early children's fantasy Christmas tale...
