The year I fell in love
with the idea of me,
not as how I was perceived
but just me.

Festival of lights,
New beginnings,
Divine blessings,
Joy without strings.

Let’s drench in the boundless light,
From the sun, the moon and the stars,
Let's light up from within,
Make everyday a festival of lights.

We're not in this together
& truth be told we never were
Our history is of dissent
Our future – one side's voice unheard
