My wounds are like a canyon
But Your love is like an ocean
Filling it up

My filth is like a mountain
But Your grace is like fresh snow
Falling over it

My rage is like a fire
But Your power is like a hurricane
Blowing it away

I am a Dreamer.
A ***** eater.
Leo sun and Pisces moon.
A tenacious tongue and a wise fool.
A king in the jungle called love.
Loud and proud like the thunders above
But I lost my lightning.
And I am frightened.
So when it rains it pours
And my senses are heightened.
Yet blind as ever
Time and time again
I find it easier to lose friends.
But once love's labour's are lost
All humor ends.
But we laugh to ourselves saying "***** be gone".
While thoughts of love call my mind home.
And home is where the heart is
So I abide in darkness.
" Another one." - DJ Khaled
My fingers itch in so many ways—
They wish to touch the stars;
They long to play my soul's heartsong,
And strive to sketch my scars.
Sometimes they urge to clutch a knife
And hold it to my chest;
But most of all they long to hold my love—
The one who knows me best.

sitting on the floor barefoot in a baby blue dress
perfections dreamscape hewn in lace
romance flower of such gentle strength
and such sweet grace
my life was a blank page
waiting to be written
waiting for my wanderers heart to be smitten
for this wild child dreadlock princess
for this gentle soul to sing her heartsong for me
tremble no more for all darkness is gone
with eachother we are stronger than moonlight
with eachother our hearts beat as one
my life to you and for you my sweet
be my wife
be my life
all of you are invited to the wedding...itll be a classic hippie wedding barefoot on the beach at dawn with a rock band playing grateful dead songs :-)

( My daughter sleeps,
  And my heart sings her a song... )

There will never be another you.

I may meet a girl
  And make her my wife,
But no matter what
  You're the love of my life.

No matter where you go,
  You'll never be alone,
'Cause long as I live
  My heart is your home.

You are my happiness,
  Your laugh ignites me,
If my soul forgets,
  Your smile reminds me.

And no matter what you do,
I'll always be proud of you.

The song of my spirit,
The story in my heart,
Your birth was my beginning,
Your love was the start.

I will never leave you.
I will never let you go.

And when I am gone,
My heart will beat on
Inside of your soul,
Where love sings its song.

The rich grass of Scotland is where I start my tale,
Upon a chance encounter of unforseeable importance.
It began as an offhand remark,
Of the two girls it was the boldness of one extremely shy,
'This sounds interesting' mumbled the mysterious stranger,
'Tis, fair maiden. And what be your name?' was the confident reply.
Delicate as a passing breeze she uttered, Tess,
A name beffitting such a gentle lass,
So fortuitous a meeting! I exclaimed to my friends,
For a chance like this I could not allow to pass.

The morning's sun steadily beamed down,
Whilst jet black hair flashed in the light.
Rays honoured to touch so pure a soul,
To kiss her lips my only goal.

As the enchantress weaved her spell,
Time languidly ticked by yet possessed a terrible swiftness.
The mornings bright illumination turned to mid-day haze,
The threads of past memories interlaced,
And with freckled face and a gaze that could sear,
Her form bestowed with elegant grace,
Such breathtaking beauty I had never glanced upon before.
Images of entertwined hands and passionate embraces,
whirled gayely in my thoughts.

With perception attuned to the highest degree,
All masks strewn asunder upon such potent a force.
Truth dripped from unguarded lips,
And an eerie, unfathomable ease crept over,
Past and present merging under sturdy oak.
Speed, precision and slight of hand,
A heart forever touched.
As pulses raced and breathe quickened,
I Stammered; thinking quickly before I lose my nerve!
Whispering 'may I kiss you?',
Agonisingly slowly, a smile danced along her speckled cheeks,
And without a word her eyes replied, a simple yes.
Transfixed they paused; nose to nose, heart to heart,
Hanging the unspoken words of romance and lust,
A mirror of compassion, understanding and trust,
And so it was, right from the start.
This is so cheesy it should open up a pizzeria! My first poem, ah cringe! How I made it so long I don't know! Poem from 2010

You are an angel sent from heaven to us
You are a gift for which we are grateful and by which we're blessed
There is a purpose a plan a place just for you
The world had a need and from the beginning God knew
The perfect time the perfect family to raise you as their own
To look back ta amazing to see how much you've grown
From the little baby girl to the young woman you are today
For all the missions throughout time and for you I dare to pray
That you would know God's providence and provision
The Lord provided us with you and now to the world given
By your love and your light to you they shall be drawn
Hold them close and take them in let them hear your heartsong
You are a gift from heaven sent down upon the earth
To show every man woman and child what a human life is worth
For this and many other reasons I think of you at night
And ask the Lord to hold you close and keep you always in his sight.

For Mum*

From the warm chambers of a mother's heart,
a melody beckons new life to start.
A mellifluous miracle. This is nature's cue
to paint life's shades with warmer hues.
A harmony resonates that only she can hear;
a poignant reminder that hope is near.
Her heart's song binds the maternal bond,
and seals its protection from that moment on.

She gave me wings to pursue life's flight;
Settled my mind lest it woke me at night;
Warmed my heart through woe's bitter glare;
Restored life's colour through her devotion and care;
Indulged me with all that I could ever need;
Supplied me with the pabulum to go forth and succeed.

Her benevolence and kindness, her ardour and strength
are treasured qualities that perfectly represent
her role as a mother, my idol and friend;
a beloved inspiration from now 'till the end.
Like a resplendent array of stars above,
we glow together in light and love.

The quintessence of strong; we thrive as one,
drifting in harmony to the beat of her song.
Never to be parted by life's cruel schisms;
we're written into the chords of her heart's pure rhythm.
From the first harmonic beat to lullabies in the nursery,
her rhapsodic care has prepared me for this journey.
and compelled me to write about her in my poetry.
Her music evokes memories that shall never fade;
All is protected by the bond that was made.
Not always audible as we journey through life and become deaf to distractions around us... but the unconditional love between a mother and her child is one of the most powerful and poignant pieces of music ever composed.

I strain to hear your heart
across the broken miles
for even when apart my mind
conjures up your smiles
I strain to let you know
Your voice is what I hear
in silence and in shadows
I always have you near

I strain to send my love into
the ether and the mist
So when you turn around and see
a sunbeam that has kissed
the puffy clouds up in the sky
it's really me you see
I strain to give you all my love
For All Eternity
