faith tyler gordon
since I lost you i’ve been searching

everywhere to find what we had

I search in

people
    books
        friendships
            music

but I can’t find it

what we had wasn’t something you can find in an object or a warm body

what we had was a rainfall during a drought

water for the thirsty

food to the hungry

what we had was something I needed and longed for

and i’ll never have that again

I love you, immensely,
Intensely, you set free,
The best of luck, to lust and ****,
Nobody tries contesting

Everything that you see, I don't, can't believe
Let me see the best of me
Perhaps then I won't seem
U-g-ly

Im loyal, and trusting
Guidance is everything
For you I'd give anything
My heart my soul for a diamond ring!

For you are worth more than the stars
That twinkle in the broken glass
The shadows the voices the blood and the pain
I'd suffer it all for you to smile again...
To my dearest, with love...**

my fingers around the mug
                                    i imagine your neck
steam fogs over my glasses
                                       i imagine your breath
heat rushes to my face
                                         i imagine your warmth
a sip of hot green tea
                                  i imagine your lips

all these mingling with mine
whenever i drink
a cup of you
to wjh. belated happy valentine's and happy chinese new year. although it was terrible for me drowning in academics, you sent a picture of yourself and instantly everything is brighter.
just like whenever i drink a cup of hot green tea.
cheers, it's been two years and a month with you.

Hello, Poetry.

I hope today finds you well
and the light of the world has shone on you.
I hope today you save a new soul,
or some new soul saves you.

I hope today you see the world
as beautiful as it sees you.
I hope today someone is moved
enough to embrace you
and your love.

I hope today brings you no sorrow.
I hope today only brings you joy
and smiles.
I hope today you are not taken
for granted.

I hope today
you are shown you are loved.
I hope today you realize that
you are beautiful
and kind.

I hope today you realize why
that special someone has you on their mind.
I hope today you see yourself
as the world sees you.
I hope today you remember your name,
Poetry,
and you wear it proud
with your
head
held
high.

She was like music,
and I longed to dance.

Her heart was the beat,
and I begged for the chance.

Her words were the vocals,
and I was put in a trance.

Her smile was the melody,
and I fell in love at first glance.

Your breath
Fills my heart
With happiness

I'm just lying here listening
To it enter and leave your chest
Fantasizing about the days we have
The days we have to look forward to
The future that I want to build with you

You inspire me in so many ways
To love you better, harder, fuller
To rise to my potential every day
With every snore my heart flutters

You're a twitcher, too
Which makes me giggle
I often wonder what you're dreaming about
If we are hiking and you have tripped
If Bones has crawled under your legs
If Tucker has jumped on you again
If your brother has tackled you to wrestle
If you just dropped the weights at the gym

And I'm writing this now as you sleep
My arm tingling, about to join you
But I can't snooze
Thinking about the luck I have come upon
To be buried under the weight of your arm
As you're hogging the bed
Not realizing, just trying to get close to me

Lucky to have someone so in love
My arm is legitimately falling asleep. My pinky is tingling.

I can feel it
The warmth of your fingers
Filling the chill
Of the crevices between my own
Wrapping around the back of my hand
Your palm embracing mine
Like I've never known
"Perpetually cold"
I often excuse
But now I know they've just been sleeping
Waiting for the warmth of real love
To wake them up.
Thank you for showing me how to accept the fire that is touching you, just with a grasp of my hand.

Your brown eyes
fill my gut with butterflies
fluttering their wings violently,
they render me silent-ly
I would gaze at you from afar,
but now we've progressed
we're getting drinks at the bar.
This pitter-patter in my chest
keeps increasing it's pace,
especially when your face
is so close to my own.
Perspiration builds on my skin,
yet I'm calmed by the scent of your cologne.
I just want my heart to win
this round of heart versus head
because the beginnings are so sweet,
yet it's the end that I dread.
I usually don't write rhyming poems, they're not my forte nor my favorite, but this is what just flowed out of me.

I hate that you're depressed
because
you are so
beautiful.

I do love you,
even if
we just met.

You are perfect.
Those scars on your
thighs
are
destroying
you.

I hate how it
Poisons your
Bloodstream,
Making you cut open
your skin
in ribbons.

Stop

Please stop.
