"elephants" poems
I’m in my prime; at the cusp of my development. A few more years of growth make decay a lot more relevant… *Glass Elephant, Glass Elephant,* Irrelevance, benevolence, Compassion, or malevolence; I’m one of few who sees it sums no difference. Glass objects. Or Elephants. Irrelevance, Irrelevance Striving for motion, with motive elusive Each thing I endeavor is far too exclusive I need something inclusive, objectively singular A sinusoidal wave with a mean lacking integers Peace in zero and equilibrium inclusion *Glass Elephant Glass Elephant* Delusions, Delusions

Glass Elephant, Glass Elephant
Did you ever hear about ******* Lil? She lived in ******* town on ******* hill, She had a ******* dog and a ******* cat, They fought all night with a ******* rat. She had ******* hair on her ******* head. She had a ******* dress that was poppy red: She wore a snowbird hat and sleigh-riding clothes, On her coat she wore a crimson, ******* rose. Big gold chariots on the Milky Way, Snakes and elephants silver and gray. Oh the ******* blues they make me sad, Oh the ******* blues make me feel bad. Lil went to a snow party one cold night, And the way she sniffed was sure a fright. There was Hophead Mag with ***** Slim, Kankakee Liz and Yen Shee Jim. There was Morphine Sue and the Poppy Face Kid, Climbed up snow ladders and down they skid; There was the Stepladder Kit, a good six feet, And the Sleigh-riding Sister who were hard to beat. Along in the morning about half past three They were all lit up like a Christmas tree; Lil got home and started for bed, Took another sniff and it knocked her dead. They laid her out in her ******* clothes: She wore a snowbird hat with a crimson rose; On her headstone you’ll find this refrain: She died as she lived, sniffing *******

I miss you, having never met you still warmer near you across the ocean. it rains grey elephants and mice in shades of darken room and falling curtains. it rains in shadows of your walk from sunny side to rainy block. A. J. Rain

it rains grey elephants and mice
Wilson and Pilcer and Snack stood before the zoo elephant. Wilson said, "What is its name? Is it from Asia or Africa? Who feeds it? Is it a he or a she? How old is it? Do they have twins? How much does it cost to feed? How much does it weigh? If it dies, how much will another one cost? If it dies, what will they use the bones, the fat, and the hide for? What use is it besides to look at?" Pilcer didn't have any questions; he was murmering to himself, "It's a house by itself, walls and windows, the ears came from tall cornfields, by God; the architect of those legs was a workman, by God; he stands like a bridge out across the deep water; the face is sad and the eyes are kind; I know elephants are good to babies." Snack looked up and down and at last said to himself, "He's a tough son-of-a-gun outside and I'll bet he's got a strong heart, I'll bet he's strong as a copper-riveted boiler inside." They didn't put up any arguments. They didn't throw anything in each other's faces. Three men saw the elephant three ways And let it go at that. They didn't spoil a sunny Sunday afternoon; "Sunday comes only once a week," they told each other.

Elephants Are Different to Different People
Elephants are my favorite, but I hate giraffes I don't trust the horns on their heads Or how they coerced evolution into upgrading their necks, legs AND tongues -greedy little ******* Just eat from bushes or averaged sized trees like a normal ******* herbivore

Elephants are my
See them standing on the podium of promises Tickling us to wed them into power As we stand under the burning sun, sweaty as ever All ears to their flowered words of which they caress And powdered our minds with. They donate maggi, salt, wears and the root of all evil, To further blind our minds and instinct. Like goats following a hand with a palm fruit, We chased them with high hopes to the polls, Like Esau of old we repay their donation with our votes. Their desires were met, now in power At serious battle against their promises, Our faith getting lean, our hopes bleed in response to their policies. The opposition jubilant for the failure of the electorates. Soon, they awoke into reality, spur to abort incumbent reign. Some took to bombs, guns, cutlasses, few to the streets. The opposition soldiers are thugs, always hungry to **** The masses weapons are their mouth, placards, And solidarity songs, they walk and sing. They say when elephants fight the grasses suffer I wonder who are the elephants or the grasses indeed. A  place that suppose to be our home now a battle field Where everyone fights for self survival Forgetting the unborn, our toddlers, our heroes past. It is high time we talked and sack the thugs But who will moderate Who will faithfully give audience, who will sincerely talk? The elite, the elected seems like they are war ready They have well set up their political troops A war they won't stand to fight But escape through thinning air off our sight. In a molding  state Pigs dare to preach sanity In a world of questions, ignorance remain the worst cancer And the apex poverty. Let not fold our hands and live to die in this doom If your lips are scared, let your pen speak. Let not throw in the towel Until we justfully elapse the reign of the unwanted in one peace.

Genetic engineering’s here to stay Possibilities are endless, scientists say: Men mixed with anything we can find: Oak trees, wasps, ants and elephants combined. Satanic horror armies sweep their enemies away And Frankenstein’s monster’s little but child’s play Compared with these. Yet with Good intent, And wisdom heaven sent, Utopia or Paradise could be on its way: Bumper bug-free harvests every day, Giant fruit and docile, friendly beasts. Food for all, and endless feasts. All manner of Good Or Evil Is within Our grasp. It’s down to us.

If I were doing my Laundry I'd wash my ***** Iran I'd throw in my United States, and pour on the Ivory Soap, scrub up Africa, put all the birds and elephants back in the jungle, I'd wash the Amazon river and clean the oily Carib & Gulf of Mexico,   Rub that smog off the North Pole, wipe up all the pipelines in Alaska,   Rub a dub dub for Rocky Flats and Los Alamos, Flush that sparkly Cesium out of Love Canal Rinse down the Acid Rain over the Parthenon & Sphinx, Drain Sludge out of the Mediterranean basin & make it azure again, Put some blueing back into the sky over the Rhine, bleach the little Clouds so snow return white as snow, Cleanse the Hudson Thames & Neckar, Drain the Suds out of Lake Erie   Then I'd throw big Asia in one giant Load & wash out the blood & Agent Orange, Dump the whole mess of Russia and China in the wringer, squeeze out the tattletail Gray of U.S. Central American police state, & put the planet in the drier & let it sit 20 minutes or an Aeon till it came out clean.                                                      Allen Ginsberg                                                     Boulder, 26 April, 1980 .

Homework (by Allen Ginsberg)
I made my own stop. I made my own end of the line. I made my own terminal. I end here. Someone died here today; the start of their journey, and the end of my own. oil blood urine fluids of mechanic and natural origins. I peddle my wares; I sell my sweat; I am an energy salesman. I ride this rail on rubber, not steel. I do not intend to steer clear but still be clear when the front-end is near. Electric elephants bound to acrobat playgrounds. Painted Tusks as valuable as my soul. I do not meddle with my pedal: joules of life grow more valuable. energy exchanged

i hear you say "i don't want to hurt you" as i feel your words, like a knife pierce through my chest and go through my heart and suddenly my passion is deflated like a balloon being pricked by a pin - "i don't want to hurt you" but this feels like an elephant is stepping on my chest and i hurt. despite your narrowing efforts to keep me feeling safe please stop making me feel like i should just jump into the lake o.o.

Something To Do With Anxiety And Elephants
My family is a bunch of animals. My mother is a lioness, strong, brave, and full of pride, with claws sharp as knives, for anyone that harms her cub she will strike. my father is a hyena, foolish, never serious, and a lazy scavenger, that doesn't do anything but eat the crap that he creates. My grand parents are elephants, big and strong during the day, blind and helpless during the night. My aunts and uncles are the herd of gazelles, they graze when they can, but when the lioness comes they silence and run away with fear. My dogs are the shade that comforts me from the burning sun of life. The day has come when the lioness shall not roam the tall grasses of the Serengeti. Without the lioness the gazelles are persistently grazing, depleting the grass, grazing and depleting until there was no grass left for me to hide in, they rammed and bucked at me like I had no right to grieve. I was a helpless cub on that day and I still am, wondering when the lioness will show up to be my heroine again. But as the gazelles buck and ram, a kangaroo and a zebra rush in, embrace me, and take me in, I now have a second family with: a savage tiger, Italian chipmunks, boxing kangaroos, kick-ass monkeys, elderly turtles, burly bears, religious zebras, and untimely rabbits. My second family is diverse, but they never do the worst just as my first. This is a story that I usually don't tell, but this my past life so I must tell, tell, tell... This is what God raised me to be, This for me and only me. One day the light will show for me, and me and the lioness will forever again be free, to roam the plains in the skies above, just like a dove.

The Royal lady's eyes behold. The scene that is about to unfold. The procession just outside Hawa Mahal. She looks from one of he 953 windows. The red and pink sand stone of the Mahal, She feels from her toes. She is Rajput by heart. And inwardly thanks Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh for this intricate piece of Art. Constructed in 1799. From it's windown, The breeze flows;fresh and beingh. Out there there are all kinds of people Old. Young. Fancy. Simple. They radiate happiness. Mounted on elephants or barefoot, feeling blessed. She smiles to herself. And closes the Jharokha and feels excited as now, To her friends, she has a story to tell.

I'm a ****** of ambition a clairvoyant whose true sight can only seer through my objectives. I am juxtaposed from my life-- from passion and experience feeling is a concept that lingers outside the realm where I reside; by choices I was forced to make. It has bibulous proportions that consume my cravings and intoxicate the senses-- So can we believe to be free instead of circus-elephants who plunged their trunks into a trough of indecision. Where caging and pushing each other to perform tricks for the audience is the normality of existing-- to be the scampering mouse that lives outside their barriers causes them to fear us to stampede and stomp until there is only obedience.

Drunken Elephants
i slipped the silk fabric over the curve of my hip and the scarred flesh of my thigh in a dressing room with three of my friends behind me, ******* in the fat of my stomach. they say black is supposed to be slimming but it only made me bloated; maybe the mirror was a liar (i know it didn't lie). an elephant with too-thick eyeliner and a too-thick body stared back at me and i bit through the skin of my lip till it bled and i wanted to live on some other planet where elephants were appreciated. "that's the best one you've tried on yet," someone said, but i couldn't hear them over the red-eyed demon within me which whispered of shoving two fingers down the trachea, messy but quick, everything gone in an instant. if this was my best one, i was doomed because my eyes were glazed over with the misunderstanding that beauty would never apply to me. "i'm just gonna go- go to the restroom-" and the red eyed thing inside me cracks its whip, takes over the nerves in my brain, makes my legs sprint to the toilets and it's over, it's done, the food gone among stomach acid, falling hair, and teeth erosion. i can only imagine what the restaurant worker who was forced to clean rainbow-coloured ***** in the toilet thought.

I witness India on the back of my hand
The wheel of the quivering meat conception Turns in the void expelling human beings, Pigs, turtles, frogs, insects, nits, Mice, lice, lizards, rats, roan Racinghorses, poxy bucolic pigtics, Horrible unnameable lice of vultures, Murderous attacking dog-armies Of Africa, Rhinos roaming in the jungle, Vast boars and huge gigantic bull Elephants, rams, eagles, condors, Pones and Porcupines and Pills- All the endless conception of living beings Gnashing everywhere in Consciousness Throughout the ten directions of space Occupying all the quarters in & out, From supermicroscopic no-bug To huge Galaxy Lightyear Bowell Illuminating the sky of one Mind- Poor! I wish I was free of that slaving meat wheel and safe in heaven dead.

Walking alone day after day. I am a regular. The giraffes know. The elephants remember. The carousel and I go round and round, chasing; Never catching anything or anyone. You are gone. The monkeys at the zoo could never be true to you, They told me so. I felt quite sad about it.

Clouds And Snow (written by my 9 year old niece, Lilliana)
Of all the places I have been This is the strangest That I've seen It is called The mixed up zoo where the animals Just will not do Exactly what they're supposed to do That's why it's called the mixed up zoo Imagine lions in a tree Not where they're supposed to be A giraffe who is afraid of heigts And bats who will not fly at night I saw a goat who did not bleat And then I saw a wool less sheep A zebra who was blue and green The strangest place I've ever been I saw a duck who did not quack I even met a talking yak A turkey who could really fly A hyena who would  only cry Geese that croaked like giant frogs And chickens who would bark like dogs Elephants with ears so small You would think they couldn't hear at all I saw a horse who would not run In all the day was really fun Monkeys who could really sing A snake who bounced just like a spring It really was a crazy place I laughed so much I hurt my face If there is one thing you must do Come and see the mixed up zoo

The Mixed Up Zoo
my smallheaded pearshaped lady in gluey twilight moving, suddenly is three animals. The minute waist continually with an African gesture utters a frivolous intense half of Girl which(like some floating snake upon itself always and slowly which upward certainly is pouring)emits a pose :to twitter wickedly whereas the big and firm legs moving solemnly like careful and furious and beautiful elephants (mingled in whispering thickly smooth thighs thinkingly) remind me of Woman and how between her hips India is.
