When they ate me alive,

I asked them to go slow.

Asked them to please relish my pain,

**** my marrow as if I was served at at the finest restaurant

where waiters speak in hushed voices and

the lights are dim and

the menu is fixed, is twelve courses long,

is exactly what you want.

I asked them to go slow.

I asked them to read my palms to tell me how long I had to live,

I asked them to forgive me,

to let me forgive others,

to tell the girl from high school who faked a pregnancy in front of the entire school and me,

her best friend,

tell her that she can be safe in her own head,

and it takes time,

and no one is going to eat her alive.

I asked them to renounce my baptism,

to tell my pastor I only wanted to dip in that warm water and feel all the attention on me.

I was seven,

it was the same year as 9/11.

I knew the Bible,

but can you tell them I just wanted to get in the bathtub, to float?

Maybe I wanted to be saved,

but now savor this instead,

this

subverting honesty,

these verses of

plain, plain

muscle vein ligament stretch, skin collagen fat scars freckles bones bones bones,

savor this.

I am as human as I will ever be,

and I’ve got stories that can make you whistle,

can make you curl your toes,

can make your ears practically salivate at the thought.

Can you wait?

Savor me, take small parts of me,

but as you’re eating me alive

please remember that I am a bathtub

and a book

and I’m barely written or read and I need something like

time to write myself finished.

I’m not done yet.

This is a plea.

black top hats and heretical clowns
surprise! the circus is back in town
ladies and Gentlemen- we've a show tonight
so bed the kids and dim the lights

hotel ballrooms and cheap champagne
silhouettes of Falsehood and the infamous Fame
a gallery of harlots and libertines
blessed with the curse of controversy

suicidal salvations and casualties
religion built the bomb that burned the buildings
a ballet of East making martyr of West
they pulled their own trigger- shot themselves in the chest

creaky pulpits and dusty pews
a prayer to be one of the Chosen Few
but holy water won't cleanse these Sins
in time, all shows must come to an end

so bed the kids and dim the lights
it's time for a panicked revival tonight
clasp your hands- bound by rosary beads
baptism- your wants, prostitution- your needs.

There are days
when the rain seems
like nothing more
than inconvenience,
and puddles, messes,
and noise.

More often than not, though,
the rain has been a friend,
a companion of sorts.

It has lessened the
loneliness in moments
of grief and despair,
as it shared in
inconsolable
and silent tears.

It has covered me
like a warm blanket,
as it washed away
the fears.

More often than not,
the rain has been
a path to renewal,
a baptism most sacred.

Even the melody
and timber of the rain
has often soothed me,
like white noise
can comfort a
restless child.

The rain can consume
and wash out
and drown,
pushing unwanted
memories and dreams
down an any-named road,
for miles and miles.

For me, more often
than not,
it provides shroud
and cover from the sun’s
intense heat,
inspiring gratitude
and most joyful
smiles.

You may ask the question, "How can anyone really know 100% sure that they are going to heaven when they die?" The answer is found in the Scriptures. Here we will not look at what man has to say, but what God says in the Bible. Remember, if what man or religion teaches is contrary to God’s Word - God’s Word is always right over man’s word.

YOU CAN KNOW FOR SURE:
I Jn 5:12-13...
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

According to God’s Word one can know that he or she has eternal life. In order to have this settled one must realize Salvation is only through Christ.
SALVATION IS ONLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST ALONE:

Acts 4:12...
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
John 14:6...
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Many have been taught salvation is either through church membership, baptism, good works, or taking the sacrament. Most religions teach living a good life is required for one’s salvation.

YOU CAN NOT WORK YOUR WAY TO HEAVEN:

Eph 2:8-9...
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”...
Titus 3:5...
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”
Gal 2:16...
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
Gal 3:10-11...
“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.”Gal 3:24...
“Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.”
Rom 3:20...
" Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin".Understand, one can be sincere about their beliefs yet wrong. If you were sick and someone gave you poison to take instead of a medicine remedy; it doesn’t matter how sincere you are about taking what you believe to be medicine - if it is poison, you are in trouble.
Prov 14:12...
“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

God’s Word makes it plain that the gift of salvation is only through Jesus and is by grace, not by doing good things.

According to the Scriptures, to once and for all settle in your heart that you are going to heaven.

THERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT YOU MUST UNDERSTAND:

1. Why We Need a Saviour? WE ARE ALL SINNERS.

Rom 3:23...
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
Rom 5:12...
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
Rom 3:19...
"Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God."
James 2:10...
"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
Unless you admit you are a sinner; you will never see the real need for the Saviour. If we could get to heaven by our good works, why did Christ have to suffer such agony on the Cross?

2. If we die without Christ as our Saviour there is a penalty of eternal punishment in Hell.

Rev 21:8...
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
Rev 20:14-15...
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

3. Christ paid the penalty for our sin. We MUST receive Him as our personal Lord and Saviour.

Isa 53:6...
"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."
Gal 3:13...
"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:"
Rom 5:8...
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
John 3:16...
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Rest below read .
4. Receive Christ as your Saviour-
In conclusion:
If you have already admitted you are a sinner and according to the Bible deserve to go to hell and if you believe with your heart that Christ died for your sins and arose from the grave the third day...
YOU MUST PERSONALLY BY FAITH RECEIVE CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR!

Rom 10:9-109...
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Right now after reading these Scriptures if you would simply bow your head and call upon the name of the Lord He will save you and give you eternal life. Remember, it is not just believing. Satan believes in God but that certainly doesn’t mean that he is going to heaven.

Rom 10:13...
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
John 1:12...
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

Your Salvation is your own personal choice now. You can either RECEIVE CHRIST or REJECT HIM. It is up to you. Salvation is determined by what you do with Christ.

If wanna say sinners prayer and be saved in Jesus especially since the way the world's going and prophecies are happening every which way , christ is calling his bride soon bride meaning the church. Your friend Brandon Nagley .
Where does rapture come from you ask ? The English word "rapture" is derived from the Latin verb "Rapere" meaning "to carry off," or "to catch up." Also called raptio or raptura translated in Greek and Latin meaning taken from one place carried away .. rapture verses-

Is the Rapture in the Bible?

Although the term "rapture" is not found in the Bible, the theory is based on Scripture. Those who accept the Rapture theory believe that all non-believers on the earth at the time will be left behind for the tribulation period.

Most Bible scholars agree the tribulation period will last for seven years, the final seven years of this age, until Christ returns to set up his earthly kingdom during the Millennium.

The English word "rapture" is derived from the Latin verb "Rapere" meaning "to carry off," or "to catch up."

The Rapture will usher in the final seven years of this age. True followers of Jesus Christ will be transformed into their spiritual bodies in the Rapture and taken from the Earth to be in Heaven with God. Non-believers will be left behind to face severe tribulation as the antichrist prepares to take his place as the Beast with his helper last predicted 113th Pope and false prophet in Revelation 13 who brings all world religions as one Jews false Christians and Muslims to worship under a new world gvt and order and one world religion to worship the first beast ( Antichrist) as false prophet pope Francis many know this including me he's the second beast in Revelation 13. If read Matthew 24 Christ's own words you'll see all his said as all he said is true as he's the true the only Messiah.
Rapture verses if ask.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Revelation 3:10 - Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

So your choice face seven years hell on earth die to a place called hell where Gospel speaks the worm dies not. Be left here taking the Antichrist mark some type of RFID chip in your hand or forehead.. facing trials coming to earth huge tsunamis floods quakes all shaking now volcano's. Demonic entities more real than your reality , wars nuclear devastation. Fireballs to crack lands and oceans ...a false prophet to work with the Antichrist. You ready america and you who aren't Americans Hello!!? You awake? Wake UPPP!!!!! Suggest you read Matthew 24 see Christ's words there all coming true from Matthew mark Luke John Christ's words are true always were true. You awake?????? Hello wake up

Heaven is an Eye fixed atop a triangle
embossed along panes of stained glass
in a burst of color and
embedded on a transom above
an arrangement of young Amish girls -
one of them flipping me the bird.
white bonnets shining inside the dark street
and red reflections of the night.

God is in a mirror
reflected across one thousand other mirrors
held by a single hand and adjusted thereby
so that the light would be refracted through
a bent corridor in time
bending and extending through
far away dimensions that
i don't even know about.

Beauty lies in the 6 skinny trees
i water on the fifth day
drinking coffee when i see
one thousand rose petals drying
like the shores of the salton sea
and the six trees like a
hexagram of six dragons
like Heaven over Heaven in the sky.

one time I saw this image in my mind
when i closed my eyes
a vision of fire shaped like a phoenix
burned across the red horizon of my mind.
beyond the black behind the lids of my eyes
there is a red horizon over inner city deserts,
bird beaks buried in the sand.

I must honor the body’s lived experience
yet not give it any credence over Spirit.
its like i was being taken over and consumed
by a Greater Being.
it pressed all my memories up against hard glass.
different angles through extra spectrums -
it was raining hard prisms
It was like laser beams everywhere.
like heaven over heaven in the sky.

I was ripping off layers like a nest
of ten rattlesnakes tangled up in braided rope.
now there are magnets that float around inside my head.
there are times i don’t know if I’m doing the thinking - or the listening -
or whose doing the talking but
there are magnets floating in my cerebral spinal fluid
and they are electric and they are on fire.
and if i only had binoculars then I could see the singularity,
the gift of eternal life at the eschaton.

Heaven is the wind that lifts me up by the insides.
i  relax so deeply into the present sometimes
i forget to breathe -
were it not for the magnets inside my spine
pulling me toward the singularity and
the eschaton and the Bright Lights.

there are such amazing playlists on spotify
artists and genres i’ve never even heard of.
thank God someone figured out what
these emotions sound like.
benedictions in southern pennsylvania
on the JBL charge 4
and i think i’m starting to accept
that life in the earth plane is
a baptism by electric fire.

Glory be to God in the highest for
sending me His messenger
winging words made of silver helix
strands of vibrating concept complexes
so the mercury can bring the sulfur to the salt.

I throw my head back and laugh like a junkyard dog.
i’ve been searching for the philosopher’s stone for years!
i just called the chase by other names
and searched for it where i thought it was to be found,
where they told me it would be:
court street and MLK blvd, Newark, NJ,
trap house, Grant St, Hazelton, PA,
the American Club, red light district, Agana, Guam.
somewhere in the Pacific or a fist full of wax bags
from my partner ****’ down pembroke outside bethlehem, PA
and a ten pack of clean B and Ds, small gauge,
waiting for me on his kitchen table.
Heaven over Heaven in the sky.

I checked my phone over three hundred times today.
mostly this is a wretched habit of unconscious hand but
quite often the Everywhere Spirit gives me personalized
messages of rapid ascension via all the “woke” social media handles.
there is a fire inside my heart and it burns me from the inside.
sometimes it opens so wide you can fit the whole world in there
and not lose any elbow room.
and the magnets carry me to the tallest pedestal in the
sky where everyone can hear and
i tell them everything is going to be ok.
i’ve seen the bad path and i’ve walked it
and God placed magnets in my blood and
i made it back alive and all the church bells are ringing.

the Holy Ghosts of our ancestors rejoice for the
cutting of the silver chords so they can
all fly away home to heaven.
and through the grave yards that lost their church bells with the churches
i walk with bells in my hands and i ring them so
that all the ghosts can go home.

we had a heart opener one night.
we all sat around the floor and opened our hearts for each other.
they opened so wide that it rained electric fire to
where everyone could see it and that makes
for a good memory.
but nothing is as it seems,
nor is it otherwise
and my heart can suddenly slam closed like
the cellar door of leatherface’s texas prairie
subterranean basement lair.
and i’ve been there before
but the fire in my heart shines upon the faces
of the all devil’s dark armada
and they don’t scare me anymore,
such is the brilliance of the flame,
and such is the pull of the magnets god placed inside my blood.

its been more than ten winters since court street, newark.
but to this day i think sometimes about
that frozen cat lying by the curb.
stiff from all the jersey winter night prowlin
freezing up it’s blood.
my heart was closed that day,
hiding all my fire.
but if I saw that cat today, why…
i would open my heart so wide that
winter would be no more and
all the frozen hearts of our fathers and our mothers
would burst wide with such love that
the Earth would tremble and all the
neutron stars would shoot across the
red horizons of our mind
and the light of heaven would be
reflected in the mirrors of our eyes.
and this light would be so bright that
all the archangels and the devas would
be out of a job.

God is in the pinprick of light
fastened to the back of the
long tunnels of my eyes.
God is in the space after the release
of my preoccupation with the opinions others hold of me
God is in the street light shining on an
amish girl flipping me the bird.

no, let's not step
into the mud of labels
and stereotypes
and pronouncements and revelations
and fixed descriptions
and prescriptions
and easy categories;
let's step out of that baptism;
let's see instead
fresh and new and clear;
mostly we glide through life
lolly-coated with projections
and consolations
and mental formations
our minds programed from day one
on spinning earth;
let's, instead, if possible,
be still a moment
and see what actually is
our conditioning and projections, and what actually is

Eating disorders are never romantic.

Sometimes, I dream of food:

Burgers, cakes, fries set out in a pan of grease that's deep enough to swim in—

I get lost in it. I eat and eat and push my blue-tinted fingertips into layers of frosting and cream, letting chocolate bliss wash over me like a baptism.

Then I wake up.

Guilt rips into my bones, and I feel a sick sense of relief.

I clutch my aching stomach, run my palms against the protrusions of my hips.

I lick my lips and swear that I could taste honey and brown sugar, and for a moment I lay in bed watching dots in my vision swirl away into the unknown.

My feet are as cold as the rest of my body, and I think for a second how nice it would be to wake up warm.

How would it feel to turn over and see a lover sleeping next to me? I don't know. I've never known, but I like to imagine.

For breakfast, an egg (75) with plain toast (95) and tea (5).

Round up. Always round-up. I don't finish. I never finish. I'll repent if I do.

Waking up is cracking joints and a tight jaw. The only thing to comfort me is hot bitter water and hope in between numbers. Always numbers.

I catch my reflection in the door of my microwave. I turn away.

Sometimes, I dream of food.

On other days, I wish I couldn't dream at all.

breaking up is like getting baptized
it's like becoming brand new
you were the sinner and I was Jesus
ready to forgive you
we'd say some words
and cry some tears
until things were okay
i dunked you under water
washing the mistakes you've made away
but there's a problem with new beginnings
the ending is the same as it was before
being forgiven for everything
is just reason to sin more

Baptism…Foreward

I prayed and hoped
I lost and wept
I was found by a boat
I, by the Lord’s waves, have been swept.

Baptism…Afterward

I pray and hope
I loose and weep
I am found by a boat that helps me cope
I, with the Lord’s waves, will sweep.
July 2008 a day after I was baptized in the Atlantic ocean in shore break waves on the beach with 2 other friends and my Dad holding my hand. Awesome.

I
The phone was screaming in my pocket
its voice was muffled by the pile of clothes
on top of it

The hotel water was almost too hot
it blushed my scalp
and cascaded down my face
in a way that should have felt like baptism
but didn't

After what felt like an eternity
the call went to the black hole
that is my neglected voicemail
now at over a hundred missed calls

I didn’t want to talk
not to Dad, not to Mom,
not to my fiancé,
and definitely not to some reporter
trying to make our ****** up family
the topic of the nine o’clock news

II
The pipes in the wall
clunked around for a second
as I turned the ****, cutting the water off
I stepped out of the shower
somehow feeling less clean than when I entered

For a moment I stood there,
towel over my head
in complete darkness

I closed my eyes and saw him
standing across from me
his eyes, locked with mine
dad’s gun in his shaking hands -
pointed directly at my head
unblinking, full of hatred, anger
and fear

They’ll call him a monster
and knowing what he’s done,
I won’t be able to say they’re wrong

III
Sympathizers will say that the divorce
messed him up somehow
or that he inherited our mother’s mental illness
or that he played too many first person shooters –
which is just ******* stupid

Lying on the hotel bed,
I nakedly examined the ceiling
mapping out the distance between water stains
like a cartographer

The last time he called me
he was in tears,
because some ****** from his school
beat him to a pulp
and shoved his face in dog ****

I can’t help but dwell
on something I said to him that night:

“People like that don’t change
they become ******* adults
and keep kicking people around
because they can
Because they’re rich and we’re poor
and they don’t want to see people like us
we remind them that the world isn't perfect
and doesn't revolve around them”

I don’t want to believe
that I planted the seed,
that the one time he listened to me –

IV
Six people died
most of them, kids no older than seventeen
one teacher, and a janitor - tagged by a stray bullet
two kids have been in critical condition
for the last three days

He must have been terrified
in those last moments
before the cops riddled him with holes

He must have regretted it
or at least regretted
not having an escape plan

He never did think things through
unlike me,
connecting the countries on the ceiling
drawing imaginary lines
of cause and effect
and trying to figure out what it means
to be a big brother
in the absence of a little one

Correctly he is John the Baptizer,
His birth was delayed up to late,
Late post menopausal age of his mother,
Elisabeth the wife of Zachariah the priest,
At the temple of the Jews in Palestine
During the regal time of Rome
As a world empire and a role model of tyranny,

Imagine conceiving after menopause,
During the nonagenarian ages
Of all the ages, in the nineties?
But she conceived John,
Was it true or mere sensationalism?
Or mere nerve chilling art style?
To hold the world audience a hostage?
I don’t know but  John was born
After his mother’s menopause,

He contrasts with Jesus
Born by a ****** Mary,
Imagine a Jewish ******
Without ****** *******
Became pregnant,
And gave birth to Jesus,
When Mary was pregnant
She socially visited Elisabeth
John’s fetus somersaulted,
Like a Chinese acrobat
Inside his mother’s tummy,
It was his baptism before birth,
But may be pregnancy of a ******
Has more strength than pregnancy
Of a post menopause octogenarian,

Hence the famous ode by Catholics;
In the name of Hail Mary
The mother of God
Most blessed above all women,

These post menopause pregnance
And ******‘s pregnancy without ***
Contrasts with Adam’s creation from clay
And Eve’s creation from Adam’s left rib,
Another super-sensational literature,
Or pataphorical art; Magical surrealism?

Let me not go dumb or mute
Like Zachariah when he believed not,
But no, I already believed ergo, my vocality,

Now why did John refuse to put on clothes?
Only to put on a skin of a goat,
Or was it a monkey Clobus,
The one which we in Africa
We are forced to ****
Before your father permits you
To face the circumcision knife,
John again refused to eat cooked foods,
He survived on raw honey and locusts,
Nuts, roots and raw fruits, dietician?

Or it was self denial or self immolation?
Like the one often displayed
by the Islamic statesmen aka terrorists
When committing suicide bombing?
No it began with the Japanese Kamikaze,
In preparation to bomb Pearl Habour,
I don’t know at all at all,

Now what of the howling in the wilderness,
Calling for people to baptism in water
At the riverbanks of polluted Jordan
And when he saw the Negroes
Among those who came for baptism
He called them the viper’s generation
Or were they Libyan Arabs?
And Jesus came, John went inferior,
He declined to baptize Jesus,
But Jesus pleaded for the service,
Then the dove opened the heaven
And came down to anoint Jesus,
Which heaven was opened?
Was the sky or the heaven?
This must be the writer’s Gnostics
Used to calling the sky as the heaven
Why the dove and why the heaven?

Then john again began doubting
Very genuine doubt I m telling you,
You see john began spying on privacy of the king
Was he also a night runner? Maybe,
He spied on Herodias the mother of Salome
She was a chic for the king; Herod Antipas,
This stuff threw John into  a calaboose,
Then John began day dreaming
Like any other prisoner
For his freedom and bush foods
He really missed honey and locusts
And also the fruits; Quavas and mustaberries,

He thought Jesus would come running,
Panting like a cheetah to pull him out,
Out of colonial prison, Jesus never came
Hence Johns doubts;
If Jesus is the Messiah really,
Can’t he come to redeem me?
From these colonial prison Herod,
Look; we are all Jews
In fact blood related Jews
And it is a year he has never come,
To pay me a visit when am in prison
Is he the Messiah really?
Or we still have to wait for a true messiah?

But Jesus was a rude messiah
Or Jesus was jealousy? Envious?
Of John’s spiritual competence,
I think he was wrong, totally wrong
He should have saved john the Baptizer
From the Roman colonial prison,
For there is no need nor spiritual logic
For Jesus to heal the lepers, and the blind
To resurrect Jairus’s daughter
And command the devils out of a madman,
But he could rescue his cousin brother
From a colonial prison, was it detention?
Remember Mary and Elisabeth were sisters,

John was a victim of circumstance
Like those who now languish in torture,
Torture chambers of the quatanamo bay prison,
Detained and tortured inhumanly
Without hope of trial nor justice
For no other reason but faith and race,
John was a harbinger of Sadam Hussein,
Osama Bin Laden, Mummar Gaddafi,
Nelson Mandella, Luther King, Dedan Kimathi,
Elijah Masinde, Arap Manyei and Mugo wa Gatheru,
They fought tyranny with firmness
They underwent torture for the sake of humanity,
They suffered for no reason but folly that goes with tyranny.

And finally, Salome the poet,
Living by performing the spoken word,
And Proceeds of her mother’s adultery
And vampirizing on the blood of the righteous
She came and danced in artful wickedness
by gyrating her ***** satanically
In the usual wicked style of a *****’s daughter
Sending the male audience nerveless with ego
Only for to suggest her prize;
As John’s head on the platter,
John was grisly mattered in the cells
Then his head was delivered on a platter
To Salome the poet the daughter of Herodias,
It all happened when Jesus was aware
Amid the full wind of his wonders
On the crest of his fame as the messiah
Isn’t saving the prisoner good as resurrecting
Young damsels and healing the lepers’?

But anyway, it is stark culture of Europe
To chop off the heads
Of those who oppose their tyranny,
It is not only John the Baptist that have suffered,
Suffered like this in the hands of Europeans tyranny,
The list of such-like victims is endless;
Mugo wa Gatheru was buried alive in Kenya
He was ordered at a gun point
By the British colonial police,
To dig his own grave using a mattock
Then the British clobbered and buried him a live,
On this brutal burial of Mugo wa Gatheru,
The Queen of England promoted these policemen
That buried Mugo wa Gatheru,
Kotalel Arap Samoia of the Nandi Militia in Kenya
Was shot twice in the head by the British spy;
The spy chopped off Koitalel’s head
He took it to the queen in heroic dint
And the queen glorified the spy,
Anglo-American power chopped of sadam’s head
Anglo-American power killed Mummar Gaddafi,
Anglo-American power Killed Osama bin Laden
They perpetrated all these without trial,
I am tired of all these………………

Within the velvet a soothing home,
a tranquil place where i can sleep.
Wrapped in waves and bound so tight,
falling fast and falling deep.

A saccharine taste upon these lips,
dulcet flavours ****** and prolong.
Distending walls embrace with ease,
this sensual touch, my senses long.

Tender skin that holds me calm,
exquisite warmth so rich inside.
Running waters that bathe untamed,
baptism of fire, surely divine.

And now i rest, with blankets unfurled,
receding streams, the body is weak.
But in time temptation will come,
enticing me back, the beautiful sleep.
Meanwhile the new-baptized, who yet remained
At Jordan with the Baptist, and had seen
Him whom they heard so late expressly called
Jesus Messiah, Son of God, declared,
And on that high authority had believed,
And with him talked, and with him lodged—I mean
Andrew and Simon, famous after known,
With others, though in Holy Writ not named—
Now missing him, their joy so lately found,
So lately found and so abruptly gone,
Began to doubt, and doubted many days,
And, as the days increased, increased their doubt.
Sometimes they thought he might be only shewn,
And for a time caught up to God, as once
Moses was in the Mount and missing long,
And the great Thisbite, who on fiery wheels
Rode up to Heaven, yet once again to come.
Therefore, as those young prophets then with care
Sought lost Eliah, so in each place these
Nigh to Bethabara—in Jericho
The city of palms, AEnon, and Salem old,
Machaerus, and each town or city walled
On this side the broad lake Genezaret,
Or in Peraea—but returned in vain.
Then on the bank of Jordan, by a creek,
Where winds with reeds and osiers whispering play,
Plain fishermen (no greater men them call),
Close in a cottage low together got,
Their unexpected loss and plaints outbreathed:—
“Alas, from what high hope to what relapse
Unlooked for are we fallen!  Our eyes beheld
Messiah certainly now come, so long
Expected of our fathers; we have heard
His words, his wisdom full of grace and truth.
‘Now, now, for sure, deliverance is at hand;
The kingdom shall to Israel be restored:’
Thus we rejoiced, but soon our joy is turned
Into perplexity and new amaze.
For whither is he gone? what accident
Hath rapt him from us? will he now retire
After appearance, and again prolong
Our expectation?  God of Israel,
Send thy Messiah forth; the time is come.
Behold the kings of the earth, how they oppress
Thy Chosen, to what highth their power unjust
They have exalted, and behind them cast
All fear of Thee; arise, and vindicate
Thy glory; free thy people from their yoke!
But let us wait; thus far He hath performed—
Sent his Anointed, and to us revealed him
By his great Prophet pointed at and shown
In public, and with him we have conversed.
Let us be glad of this, and all our fears
Lay on his providence; He will not fail,
Nor will withdraw him now, nor will recall—
Mock us with his blest sight, then ****** him hence:
Soon we shall see our hope, our joy, return.”
Thus they out of their plaints new hope resume
To find whom at the first they found unsought.
But to his mother Mary, when she saw
Others returned from baptism, not her Son,
Nor left at Jordan tidings of him none,
Within her breast though calm, her breast though pure,
Motherly cares and fears got head, and raised
Some troubled thoughts, which she in sighs thus clad:—
“Oh, what avails me now that honour high,
To have conceived of God, or that salute,
‘Hail, highly favoured, among women blest!’
While I to sorrows am no less advanced,
And fears as eminent above the lot
Of other women, by the birth I bore:
In such a season born, when scarce a shed
Could be obtained to shelter him or me
From the bleak air?  A stable was our warmth,
A manger his; yet soon enforced to fly
Thence into Egypt, till the murderous king
Were dead, who sought his life, and, missing, filled
With infant blood the streets of Bethlehem.
From Egypt home returned, in Nazareth
Hath been our dwelling many years; his life
Private, unactive, calm, contemplative,
Little suspicious to any king.  But now,
Full grown to man, acknowledged, as I hear,
By John the Baptist, and in public shewn,
Son owned from Heaven by his Father’s voice,
I looked for some great change.  To honour? no;
But trouble, as old Simeon plain foretold,
That to the fall and rising he should be
Of many in Israel, and to a sign
Spoken against—that through my very soul
A sword shall pierce.  This is my favoured lot,
My exaltation to afflictions high!
Afflicted I may be, it seems, and blest!
I will not argue that, nor will repine.
But where delays he now?  Some great intent
Conceals him.  When twelve years he scarce had seen,
I lost him, but so found as well I saw
He could not lose himself, but went about
His Father’s business.  What he meant I mused—
Since understand; much more his absence now
Thus long to some great purpose he obscures.
But I to wait with patience am inured;
My heart hath been a storehouse long of things
And sayings laid up, pretending strange events.”
Thus Mary, pondering oft, and oft to mind
Recalling what remarkably had passed
Since first her Salutation heard, with thoughts
Meekly composed awaited the fulfilling:
The while her Son, tracing the desert wild,
Sole, but with holiest meditations fed,
Into himself descended, and at once
All his great work to come before him set—
How to begin, how to accomplish best
His end of being on Earth, and mission high.
For Satan, with sly preface to return,
Had left him vacant, and with speed was gone
Up to the middle region of thick air,
Where all his Potentates in council sate.
There, without sign of boast, or sign of joy,
Solicitous and blank, he thus began:—
“Princes, Heaven’s ancient Sons, AEthereal Thrones—
Daemonian Spirits now, from the element
Each of his reign allotted, rightlier called
Powers of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth beneath
(So may we hold our place and these mild seats
Without new trouble!)—such an enemy
Is risen to invade us, who no less
Threatens than our expulsion down to Hell.
I, as I undertook, and with the vote
Consenting in full frequence was impowered,
Have found him, viewed him, tasted him; but find
Far other labour to be undergone
Than when I dealt with Adam, first of men,
Though Adam by his wife’s allurement fell,
However to this Man inferior far—
If he be Man by mother’s side, at least
With more than human gifts from Heaven adorned,
Perfections absolute, graces divine,
And amplitude of mind to greatest deeds.
Therefore I am returned, lest confidence
Of my success with Eve in Paradise
Deceive ye to persuasion over-sure
Of like succeeding here.  I summon all
Rather to be in readiness with hand
Or counsel to assist, lest I, who erst
Thought none my equal, now be overmatched.”
So spake the old Serpent, doubting, and from all
With clamour was assured their utmost aid
At his command; when from amidst them rose
Belial, the dissolutest Spirit that fell,
The sensualest, and, after Asmodai,
The fleshliest Incubus, and thus advised:—
“Set women in his eye and in his walk,
Among daughters of men the fairest found.
Many are in each region passing fair
As the noon sky, more like to goddesses
Than mortal creatures, graceful and discreet,
Expert in amorous arts, enchanting tongues
Persuasive, ****** majesty with mild
And sweet allayed, yet terrible to approach,
Skilled to retire, and in retiring draw
Hearts after them tangled in amorous nets.
Such object hath the power to soften and tame
Severest temper, smooth the rugged’st brow,
Enerve, and with voluptuous hope dissolve,
Draw out with credulous desire, and lead
At will the manliest, resolutest breast,
As the magnetic hardest iron draws.
Women, when nothing else, beguiled the heart
Of wisest Solomon, and made him build,
And made him bow, to the gods of his wives.”
To whom quick answer Satan thus returned:—
“Belial, in much uneven scale thou weigh’st
All others by thyself.  Because of old
Thou thyself doat’st on womankind, admiring
Their shape, their colour, and attractive grace,
None are, thou think’st, but taken with such toys.
Before the Flood, thou, with thy ***** crew,
False titled Sons of God, roaming the Earth,
Cast wanton eyes on the daughters of men,
And coupled with them, and begot a race.
Have we not seen, or by relation heard,
In courts and regal chambers how thou lurk’st,
In wood or grove, by mossy fountain-side,
In valley or green meadow, to waylay
Some beauty rare, Calisto, Clymene,
Daphne, or Semele, Antiopa,
Or Amymone, Syrinx, many more
Too long—then lay’st thy scapes on names adored,
Apollo, Neptune, Jupiter, or Pan,
Satyr, or Faun, or Silvan?  But these haunts
Delight not all.  Among the sons of men
How many have with a smile made small account
Of beauty and her lures, easily scorned
All her assaults, on worthier things intent!
Remember that Pellean conqueror,
A youth, how all the beauties of the East
He slightly viewed, and slightly overpassed;
How he surnamed of Africa dismissed,
In his prime youth, the fair Iberian maid.
For Solomon, he lived at ease, and, full
Of honour, wealth, high fare, aimed not beyond
Higher design than to enjoy his state;
Thence to the bait of women lay exposed.
But he whom we attempt is wiser far
Than Solomon, of more exalted mind,
Made and set wholly on the accomplishment
Of greatest things.  What woman will you find,
Though of this age the wonder and the fame,
On whom his leisure will voutsafe an eye
Of fond desire?  Or should she, confident,
As sitting queen adored on Beauty’s throne,
Descend with all her winning charms begirt
To enamour, as the zone of Venus once
Wrought that effect on Jove (so fables tell),
How would one look from his majestic brow,
Seated as on the top of Virtue’s hill,
Discountenance her despised, and put to rout
All her array, her female pride deject,
Or turn to reverent awe!  For Beauty stands
In the admiration only of weak minds
Led captive; cease to admire, and all her plumes
Fall flat, and shrink into a trivial toy,
At every sudden slighting quite abashed.
Therefore with manlier objects we must try
His constancy—with such as have more shew
Of worth, of honour, glory, and popular praise
(Rocks whereon greatest men have oftest wrecked);
Or that which only seems to satisfy
Lawful desires of nature, not beyond.
And now I know he hungers, where no food
Is to be found, in the wide Wilderness:
The rest commit to me; I shall let pass
No advantage, and his strength as oft assay.”
  He ceased, and heard their grant in loud acclaim;
Then forthwith to him takes a chosen band
Of Spirits likest to himself in guile,
To be at hand and at his beck appear,
If cause were to unfold some active scene
Of various persons, each to know his part;
Then to the desert takes with these his flight,
Where still, from shade to shade, the Son of God,
After forty days’ fasting, had remained,
Now hungering first, and to himself thus said:—
“Where will this end?  Four times ten days I have passed
Wandering this woody maze, and human food
Nor tasted, nor had appetite.  That fast
To virtue I impute not, or count part
Of what I suffer here.  If nature need not,
Or God support nature without repast,
Though needing, what praise is it to endure?
But now I feel I hunger; which declares
Nature hath need of what she asks.  Yet God
Can satisfy that need some other way,
Though hunger still remain.  So it remain
Without this body’s wasting, I content me,
And from the sting of famine fear no harm;
Nor mind it, fed with better thoughts, that feed
Me hungering more to do my Father’s will.”
It was the hour of night, when thus the Son
Communed in silent walk, then laid him down
Under the hospitable covert nigh
Of trees thick interwoven.  There he slept,
And dreamed, as appetite is wont to dream,
Of meats and drinks, nature’s refreshment sweet.
Him thought he by the brook of Cherith stood,
And saw the ravens with their ***** beaks
Food to Elijah bringing even and morn—
Though ravenous, taught to abstain from what they brought;
He saw the Prophet also, how he fled
Into the desert, and how there he slept
Under a juniper—then how, awaked,
He found his supper on the coals prepared,
And by the Angel was bid rise and eat,
And eat the second time after repose,
The strength whereof sufficed him forty days:
Sometimes that with Elijah he partook,
Or as a guest with Daniel at his pulse.
Thus wore out night; and now the harald Lark
Left his ground-nest, high towering to descry
The Morn’s approach, and greet her with his song.
As lightly from his grassy couch up rose
Our Saviour, and found all was but a dream;
Fasting he went to sleep, and fasting waked.
Up to a hill anon his steps he reared,
From whose high top to ken the prospect round,
If cottage were in view, sheep-cote, or herd;
But cottage, herd, or sheep-cote, none he saw—
Only in a bottom saw a pleasant grove,
With chaunt of tuneful birds resounding loud.
Thither he bent his way, determined there
To rest at noon, and entered soon the shade
High-roofed, and walks beneath, and alleys brown,
That opened in the midst a woody scene;
Nature’s own work it seemed (Nature taught Art),
And, to a superstitious eye, the haunt
Of wood-gods and wood-nymphs.  He viewed it round;
When suddenly a man before him stood,

Davinalion May 10
On August 8, 2017,
by the Gregorian calendar,
the weather in Chicago was awesome, totally chill.
Dusk was settling in.
Night was taking over from day.
A cool breeze carried lake moisture,
filling everything from edge to edge.
Trees rustled their leaves like crumpled paper.
Over the horizon, near a Target store,
the sun faded, slowly dipping out of sight—
darkness was creeping in to take its place.
A black squirrel darted across the lawn by the park entrance.
A bit deeper in, down in a ravine thick with wild berry bushes,
a small, timid bunny hid.
By the dumpster, fenced in with wooden slats,
a sneaky raccoon was loitering with nothing to do.
At the intersection, by the traffic light pole,
someone’s engine screeched and sped off.
Like I said, it was getting dark everywhere—
night was rolling in.

Right then, Oliver, the cat,
leaped onto the wooden fence,
plopped down, letting his cocky tail dangle,
twitched his whiskers, and stared at the sky.
A full moon hung up there.
Oliver squinted,
opened his mouth wide,
and swallowed it whole!

In the woods, not far from the city,
wolves looked up and froze in shock.
“How are we supposed to howl at the moon,” they said,
“if it’s not there where it’s supposed to be?”
They huddled up,
sighing and grumbling,
then wrote a notice
and pinned it to every pine tree:

-------------------

Whoever brings back the moon
and teaches that cat a lesson,
we’ll give you some chickens
swiped from Old Man Johnson’s farm.
We’ve done this before, no scam here.
Look, we’re attaching
feathers from the chickens we nabbed
to prove we mean business.

The Wolves

P.S. Need eggs? Talk to Frankie the ferret.
He’s always sniffing around Johnson’s farm like he owns the place,
sneaks into the coop weeknights from 10 p.m. till dawn,
and comes highly recommended by Rusty the fox!

The chaos that followed was unreal!
Word of this spread like wildfire across the globe!
It got so bad you couldn’t step outside—
every passerby was trying to nab a cat, any cat,
to trade with the wolves for a couple of stolen chickens.
Who knows how this madness would’ve ended
if the U.S. government hadn’t stepped in?
They sent the cops after Oliver,
cuffed his paws,
locked him in a glass cage,
and shipped him off to The Hague
to face an international tribunal as a criminal mastermind.

In The Hague, they grilled Oliver for a whole year,
then finally set a trial date,
inviting every Tom, ****, and Harry to show up.
They assigned him a lawyer—Sly Fox.
Judges in black robes sat smugly at the bench.
Guards with rifles hauled in Oliver’s cage.
The prosecutor, defense, and jury took their seats.

The prosecutor spoke first.

Prosecutor:

Oliver the cat is a clear and present danger to society.
He’s charged with stealing the moon!
His entire life led up to this heinous crime.
I’m sure everyone’s dying to hear his story.

Sly Fox:

Objection!
Oliver’s past has nothing to do with this case.

Judge:

Overruled.

Prosecutor:

The defendant was born into an average family.
Nothing hinted he’d turn into a ****.
At his baptism, they named him Oliver.
He was a sweet, cuddly kitten, went to school,
acted like a good little Christian.
But that didn’t last long—just a few months.
Soon, girls and their parents started complaining.
He couldn’t keep his paws to himself!
The school kicked him out, his mom gave up on him,
and nobody’s ever seen his dad.
At night, he turned to petty street crime,
and by day, he was hustling:
scavenging city dumpsters for food scraps
and selling them as “gourmet imports” wherever he could.
From a young age, he showed a knack for shady leadership!
Instead of doing his civic duty—catching mice—
he teamed up with them.
Under his command, gangs of ten to fifteen mice
ambushed lone women at bus stops,
and Oliver made off with their purses.
Tons of cell phones, makeup, and credit cards passed through his paws.
When he tried cashing out one of those cards,
he got caught
and sent to a reform shelter—basically juvie.
Think he turned his life around there?
Fat chance!
In the shelter, he converted to Islam!
Nothing wrong with that,
but he only did it to blend in with the other inmates,
who were mostly Muslim.
He gained their trust,
then started corrupting them—selling them bacon,
smuggled in by his mouse cronies from the outside!
Thanks to his cute face and fluffy tail,
Oliver didn’t stay locked up long.
A girl named Annie adopted him,
falling for his meows and purrs.
At first, he planned to bolt,
but then figured he could run his scams better
as a “well-mannered house cat.”
Without telling his shelter buddies,
Oliver converted to Judaism—playing the Jewish card to expand his market.
Soon, he trademarked “NOT-BACON,”
and his sales skyrocketed.
When he diversified his dumpster menu
and started frying bacon (dyed with stolen makeup),
his business blew up.
His little gang soon became
an international crime syndicate!
Oliver got canadian citizenship
and started jet-setting like a maniac!
He made two trips to Mecca,
snapped a selfie with the Dalai Lama,
lit a greasy candle at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem,
and was spotted in the Vatican three times!
There, he rubbed against a few cardinals’ legs
and licked the Pope’s hand.
Soon, Oliver’s business interests turned political.
He funneled money into every party and movement,
yowling loudest at both pro- and anti- rallies.
Among other things, he was seen in Ukraine’s Donbas region,
fighting in the conflict—
nobody could pin down which side,
probably both.
And last summer, he was vacationing in Miami!
What a ****!
In every city he passed through,
he conned his way into marriages!
Look at his wives and kids—
they’re in the front row, crying and begging for help!
He doesn’t pay a dime in child support, despite his wealth!
And to top it all off,
in August 2017,
with the help of Squirrel Sally as a lookout
and Raccoon Ricky keeping watch,
Oliver climbed onto the dumpster fence in his backyard
and ATE THE MOON!

We still haven’t figured out the bunny’s role in this crime ring.
Nobody’s seen him.
Oliver needs to be locked up for good—or worse.

Judge:

I’ll now give the floor to the defendant’s attorney, Sly Fox.

Sly Fox:

Oliver should walk free!
The moon just fell into his mouth when he yawned.
He’s not a criminal—he’s a victim!
He nearly choked!
He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It happens to everyone.
Come on, he couldn’t have been where he wasn’t supposed to be.
There’s nothing to discuss.
Oh, and by the way—he’s not a cat, he’s a she-cat.
Those kids? Not his.
This trial should be thrown out
because the charges are nonsense.
Here’s his statement
demanding a gender change.

We can’t let the global elite
trample on the rights of those who are different!
No to injustice!

(The courtroom erupted, chanting:
“Free Lady Oliver!”)

Judge:

Please, settle down.

Prosecutor:

To prove this crime,
we reached out to the global scientific community.
Sadly, most bailed:
Hawking pleaded disability,
Dawkins said he was too busy,
Perelman played dumb to dodge us,
Geim and Novoselov told us to get lost,
Feynman reminded us he’s been dead for years.
Only Neil deGrasse Tyson stepped up—
he said, “Sure, why not?”
So, I’m thrilled to give him the floor.

Neil deGrasse Tyson:

Ladies and gentlemen, this is…
a total mess!

I hate to break it to you—
trust me, I’m not thrilled about this—

YOU’RE ALL NUTS!

I’ve been saying this for years,
on the internet, on radio, on TV:

GOD DOESN’T EXIST!

HE’S NOT REAL!

It’s scientifically proven.
Stop kidding yourselves!

(A court assistant hands Tyson a scrap of paper.)

—Oh, my bad, looks like I’m here for something else.
Let’s see… “August eighth…” hmm… “in a ravine…”
Nah, we can skip that.
What’s with the bunny, squirrel, and raccoon?
Oh, here we go:
“…ate the moon while sitting on a fence.”
What a tragedy.
So, what do you want from me?

Prosecutor:
We’d like you to tell us what happened to the moon.

Tyson:
To who?

Prosecutor:
The moon.

Tyson:
Ohhh, the moon! Got it.
It’s gone.

Sly Fox:
Is there scientific evidence for this?

Tyson:
Weird question. There’s tons.
Here’s one example:

On the evening of August 8, 2017,
the weather was perfect.
I was chilling on my porch,
sipping a beer, nice and slow.
I decided to check out the moon through my refractor telescope.
The moon was just a few meters from perigee,
hanging out between Sagittarius and Aquarius,
all cratered up, covered in regolith.
Its librations were normal, within the tilt of its orbit.
Everything was standard, beautiful.
Then I ran out of beer,
so I stepped away from the eyepiece,
went to the kitchen, opened the refrigerating gizmo,
grabbed another bottle,
threw on a robe on my way back—
it was getting dark and chilly, and I was just in my boxers.
I look through the telescope again—
and I see whiskers in the sky!
Where the moon was just a second ago,
there’s a hole, and I can see the stars it was blocking.
I logged everything meticulously
and sent my observations
to the global astronomical community.

Sly Fox:
Did you get a response?

Tyson:
Nah.
But I didn’t ask for one…

Judge:
Do you believe the cat ate the moon?

Tyson:
Well…
That’s completely impossible.
You see…
The mass difference…
How do I explain this simply?
Cat’s tiny. Moon’s huge.

Prosecutor:
But you saw WHISKERS!

Tyson:
Yup, I did.
But I can’t give you a scientific explanation for that.

Prosecutor:
Your Honor, esteemed jurors!
Anticipating these difficulties,
our investigators decided to help science out
and present undeniable proof of the crime,
so no one’s left with any doubts.
Take a look at this X-ray of the cat.

(Shows X-ray image of Oliver.)

Look closely at his stomach.
As you can see, the moon’s sitting comfortably inside.
And get this—
there’s still plenty of room in there.
Oh, and it’s already a third digested.

Judge (to Tyson):
What do you make of this?

Tyson:
Well, yeah,
that looks pretty convincing.
And the cat looks… alive.
Can I go home now?

Judge:
Sure, go ahead.
Bet there’s still plenty of beer in your fridge—
I mean, refrigeration unit.

(Chuckles.)

Just a joke, sorry.

(To the courtroom):
Alright, we’ve heard from the defense and prosecution.
Now, I’m calling for FINAL ARGUMENTS
from both sides,
where there’s no chance for truce or reconciliation!
I summon Donald Trump!

Donald Trump (striding forward):

The moon is the property of ALL American people. Sorry!
No debate needed!
I promise to bring it back. I’ll handle it.
If the moon shows up again—and I’ve always liked it—
I’m not giving it to anybody.
I’ll eat it myself.

Half the American delegation
erupted in wild cheers,
while the other half stayed quiet,
shaking their heads in disapproval.

Trump:

The moon theft is a national disgrace.
It happened under the previous administration—
let their leader explain himself.
I’m passing the mic to Barack Obama.

Obama:

Good afternoon, thanks for having me.
The moon is the result of humanity’s collective efforts.
Its disappearance is a horrific crime.
This is unacceptable.
We can’t let it slide.
We must all unite to ensure this never happens again.
That’s my stance.

This time, the other half of the American delegation
burst into thunderous applause.
Though the half that cheered for Trump
hissed and stomped in disapproval.

With that, the arguments wrapped up.
The judges stepped out to draft their guilty verdict
but returned quickly—
it was all crystal clear to them.

The head judge cleared his throat and began reading the verdict.

Judge:

The cat is guilty on all counts. He’s a THIEF!
The cat is sentenced to death by hanging,
while strapped to an electric chair
hooked up to high voltage.
Given the notorious resilience of cats,
the following measures must also be strictly enforced:
A lethal injection—er, shot—into his paw,
and three soldier-executioners will fire four bullets each
from Heckler & Koch ****** rifles
to ensure the cat finally croaks.
No mercy for this cat! As they say, tough luck!
Justice doesn’t tolerate mockery.
Considering other circumstances,
the cat is also ordered to pay massive compensation
and undergo gender reassignment surgery.
He’s owed an apology—
which he’ll receive while serving a life sentence
in the courtroom…
—Uh, no, sorry—
While serving a life sentence. Period.
—In the courtroom…
—Pardon, what a mess.
I think I mixed up the pages.
(To his assistant)
Is this right?

(Adjusts glasses and continues reading.)

In the courtroom,
he must be immediately released—
so he doesn’t suffer,
and everyone walks away happy.

(Looks up at the room.)

I hope I didn’t skip anything and read it all.
Since the points of this verdict
contradict each other,
they should be carried out in any order.
The form doesn’t matter—it’s the substance that counts.
You can’t fool Justice.
Don’t take us for fools, and we won’t take anyone else for fools.
The goal is to restore fairness and punish evil.
I’m confident we’ve punished and restored,
even if it took tremendous effort.
Long live the adversarial judicial process!
The cat, as they say, is toast—because the moon’s no mouse.

Everyone turned to look at Oliver’s cage—
but THE CAT WAS GONE.

The guards, armed with rifles and pistols,
rolled their eyes in confusion, muttering into their radios,
as if asking someone how this could’ve happened,
but no answers came.
Meanwhile, Sly Fox, the lawyer,
slipped through the crowd of spectators toward the exit
and hasn’t been seen since.

From the start, he’d figured
this case was a lost cause and Oliver had gone too far.
So, keeping his cool,
he decided
to bribe the guards with Bitcoin,
so they’d act all shocked and bewildered
while letting Oliver slip out of the courtroom.

At first, the guards were outraged by the offer.
“Stealing the moon is a heinous crime!” they said.
“People are suffering! We’re not letting this cat go, no way!”
But Sly Fox countered their objections:
“You won’t get in any trouble for this!”
And just like that, they agreed.
And, true enough, they faced no consequences.

As for Oliver, he bolted out of the courthouse,
called an Uber, zipped to the airport,
snuck into the luggage compartment of a plane,
wormed his way into the cockpit,
hopped into the pilot’s seat, fired up the engines,
deployed the ***** and all the fancy gizmos,
and flew back home to Chicago to his owner, ANNIE!!!

--------------------------------------------

Little Annie, smart and sweet!
Go to sleep, it’s dark outside.
Mom’s getting mad, she’s had enough—
tucking us in’s no fun anymore.

Hop into bed, make a cozy little nest!
Look—out the window, past the curtains,
see the moon floating above the horizon?
Well, that moon—it’s NOT REAL.

It’s staring at us, all suspicious-like!
NASA engineers painted it on
a plaster ball, coated with shiny paint,
and launched it into orbit by Ken Harris.

Every kid from Mississippi to the Yukon knows it.
Every parent, every scientist—
Einstein, Galileo,
Every teacher, every critter in the woods—
bunnies, raccoons, even that smug squirrel,
Every boy and girl, every politician, every judge — all know it.
You and I know it -

that the real moon—
the one that blazed in the night sky,
the one that lit up the world—
well, last August,
right between sunset and sunrise,
in front of everyone and everywhere,
with his big mouth wide open, -

IT WAS GULPED BY OLIVER THE CAT.

There he is, lounging on the chair, licking his chops, the charmer—
purring and smacking like a pro.
Be careful with him: give him a finger,
and he’ll chomp your arm up to the elbow.
But don’t blame him. He’s just a cat,
not one to fret over boring morals.
When something floats right into your jaws,
it’s hard to say no.
I’m no different—I grab what I can,
hold tight to what I snag,
and I’m not throwing stones at that cat,
lest they come flying back.

I’m drifting off with you, not thinking of a thing,
already half-asleep, unsure of what’s what:
is it night finally chasing day away,
or day swapping places with night?
I’m stumbling through this sleepy haze,
can’t make sense of it all—
did Oliver really gobble up the moon,
or did the moon swallow us all?
And now, tilting its head just a bit,
it gazes down, full and satisfied, on the sleeping city.
Sleep now, my little bug, I love you
because I’m REAL.

We’ll snooze, we’ll lounge,
wake up tomorrow and have some fun,
play with the stolen sunlight,
say a prayer, make up with friends,
then change our minds and bicker,
rejoice in life—
because it’s OURS,
and we’ll shout it loud—IT’S HERE!
Look, the Creator’s got the whole sky held hostage:
where’d He swipe all this for our sake?
So let’s thank Him for the light, the water,
for our daily bread, for Wi-Fi,
for what we have and what we don’t,
for the tiniest sliver
of what’s left of the moon,
for the dark of night, for the blue of the sky,
for the gifts of life, for the losses of death,
for the pile of temptations and trials.
Let’s thank Him for it all.
Amen.

And for that sly cat, too—
who we’ll scratch behind the ears, shake a fist at, sigh over,
and then, finally, go to bed.

How much more of this nonsense can we take?
This story’s worn me out.

School’s tomorrow.

GOOD NIGHT!
fray narte Sep 2021
1
my spine is a bridge that burns —
bones most breakable, like memories of
driftwoods
collected as a kid,
i now feed to a bonfire
of blistered cyclamens.

2
my spine is a bridge
of no certain grandeur
nor history.
it burns away
and falls,
quietly in the night,
like an unknown laborer.

some of us die this way.

3
the reason for this poem
evades me,
but the heart must write of its sorrows
undisclosed to the soul.
they remain to be
unrecognized parts
of a burning town.

4
now, i speak in tongues
unfamiliar to myself.
i write a poem i'm bound to forget.
i stand in the baptism
of a child i do not know.
i do it anyway.

5
i bring her driftwoods
from the water, mourning under
a burning bridge;
soon the last beam falls apart
and i fall apart
in a forgettably graceless light
this: a sorrow with no name,
i write it anyway.

this: a sorrow undisclosed.
i tell it anyway.

this: a sorrow unrecognized.
i feel it anyway.
Protector and Savior
Savior of Peace
Make war not love
To save the ones you love...

Sacrifice
Suffer for others that is your vice
Live while others die
Just a roll of the die

A calling...
Lover's wait for that call
Call one last time
To say it was his time
He passed away
Away in a far off land

Taking up arms
Forced from his lover's arms
Fighting the good fight
Left alone at night...

Devoid of her company
A company of heroes
Giving it all
All for one and one for all.

Honor for your life
A life honor bound
With a price to pay
For the crimes of another

Worlds away
Away from the world you know
No room for fear
Fear heaven's out of room

Saints guide your step
One mis-step
Follows the last
Your future has now passed

Standing as brothers
Missing another
Each a story
Yet told

Day to Day
A new place
Weather worn face
With all new fears to face...

Baptism by fire
Fire your gun
Fallen brothers
Their crying mothers

Pull the trigger
A decision, a snap decision
Or rounds snap snap snap
snap this silence

**** to live
Live to ****
Forced to action
Action of force

Necessity is his weapon
Safety off
Off to secure your safety
Driven by some danger

Answer the call
A call to duty
To fulfill
Fulfill your destiny

Legacy
So much life left to see
Yet blind to me
Is the key

Peace is fake
Faked to pick up the peaces
Of mistakes
Mistakes still made

Now we pay
Pay this price
Price of our lives
Lives spent

Wasted on that foreign soil
Still they toil
Facing enemies
Enemies of who?

Not a man's but a nations
Nations call on their own
To own their failures
In times less sure...

baptism recurs as trauma, angels watch me
seize
i have begun to pray again
i may feel cold but i am so warm
in my throat and bones, i have a fever
by the time my vagus nerve grew up my lungs were so full i found it impossible to scream
give me love without evasion and equivocation.
no one will just speak to me anymore

People will love it
When and if they can relate
I wake up and force oatmeal down
Drink the bright lights and orange juice
Press my fingers in my face
Mold it into whatever I am that day
Jump of the balcony and start anew

People want to see themselves in it
Your hair is all over the pillow
You’re light years away
Your clothes hang like vultures in the morning noise
I grab the heaviness of evil deeds
And force it into your mouth
Swallow and disappear

People want it to be universal
We are giddy trapeze artists
We can burn the house down with our hearts
We can blow the candles out
Wish for a flood
Wish for rain, a baptism forced
Wish for tomorrow dressed in its best threads
Wrapped
up
lightly.

I would rather be stuck
Between a rock and a hard place
Than the rim of a volcano
And the edge of your cliff

Your hot breath foretold a story
On my neck, it jump started my bones
But now, it burns
And suffocates me relentlessly

I've filled myself with your hatred
And stored you beneath my fingernails
In anger, and in love
Either way, I consider them *****

I have shared with you
My darkest shadows
My brightest eyes
And you reaffirmed my beliefs
That neither have a meaning
If your foot isn't pressing down on them
Like an informal baptism

It is clear what this is
It is the domestication
Of a wolf, to a dog
From a dog
Arise then...women of this day!
Arise, all women who have hearts!
Whether your baptism be of water or of tears!
Say firmly:
"We will not have questions answered by irrelevant agencies,
Our husbands will not come to us, reeking with carnage,
For caresses and applause.
Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn
All that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience.
We, the women of one country,
Will be too tender of those of another country
To allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs."

From the voice of a devastated Earth a voice goes up with
Our own. It says: "Disarm! Disarm!
The sword of ****** is not the balance of justice."
Blood does not wipe our dishonor,
Nor violence indicate possession.
As men have often forsaken the plough and the anvil
At the summons of war,
Let women now leave all that may be left of home
For a great and earnest day of counsel.
Let them meet first, as women, to bewail and commemorate the dead.
Let them solemnly take counsel with each other as to the means
Whereby the great human family can live in peace...
Each bearing after his own time the sacred impress, not of Caesar,
But of God -
In the name of womanhood and humanity, I earnestly ask
That a general congress of women without limit of nationality,
May be appointed and held at someplace deemed most convenient
And the earliest period consistent with its objects,
To promote the alliance of the different nationalities,
The amicable settlement of international questions,
The great and general interests of peace.
Micah Aug 2016
Paroled, I step gently into the soft dawnlight,
I feed on the cold that wraps around my ribs,
And the little sleep that clung to my eyes is purified.

I am suddenly stunned motionless by the silence,
The difference is tangible in its almost gentle touch,
The oppression is lifted and my tears are called to reverence.

The morning is upon me, with it is rebirth,
The death of darkness at the holy altar of life,
And the birds, in rustled rhythm, sing to me of my worth.

And the baptism is complete, the water hath crossed my head completely,
I will live now  in the blues of the sky, the greens of the trees and browns of the earth,
I will make my home in the nests and burrows of the world, make my bed on the wind,
I will eat over the fire and bathe in the rain; soles on mud, I will make my way in the unknown,
This is my promise to you, I will reside in the beauty of this realm and seek it willingly.
The darkness will not hold me down
If I could find the Proverbs
arranging them accordingly
Inside these lucid creases
I would die happy, just to
concieve metrical composition

... for all time

I'd scribble heartbreaks and
rescue missions of my soul
to clarify empathy of baptism
that my love is more than love

If I had a key with a heart
bleeding at the crown
I would unlock the poison
So much I allowed myself
in suffering
I am languishing
rib cages, shutting in
all my reasoning to breathe...

where to be found another day

I'd scribe in scrolls
of my 15 yrs of sorrows
hoping your eyes can see
I am just as damaged as
a vehicle wreck
Yet a mother of 1
who was lost
on a sad occasion

3 yrs ago when I first
decided to bare my deepest
and thickest out pour
of my poetry,
I wrote about you

Mathias Ti'avasu'e

..I became the whipping
motherless girl beneath Zues..

Conveyed the impression
at first glance
Writing my storms delicately
as when mommy first held you
helped me describe my
inner workings
so that you might understand

… exactly the mother I
could have been

I love you in all of your grace, your
purity, and your precious life.
And when that time comes that
I may write of you
I could find the words I need
to create heavenly for you
and to conquer

... and if this makes perfect poetry,
then why does it still hurt so bad?

for unborn lil one.. say hi to you brother for mommy.
I have been to the deep blue
Where my faith had tested my fears
Boundries were crossed
And I had raised my own waters
So high, the sun began to disappear
It was dark there in the shallow
My heart was racing, time running
As my body submerged into- suspence
While the deep I faced challenges
Many creature's in Adam's ale
Shark attacks and eel whip lash
Fish that snap and jelly fish stings
Not knowing there are lessons taught here
I earned trust in faith and I rise again
On the pier I lay sprawled
In all my glory to the sky
It started to pour showers of healing
I rose from drowning, losing breath
Now free to continue my journey
In this baptism on my crown
I had been ready for this world
And these storms blossemed rain showers
Over everything I had faced
Will continue to remind me again
It can't remain stromy forever.
