365 crisp blank pages for each day,
The beginning, open with a smile and journey all the way.

But, let's live well with lots of love and humanity for all in our hearts.

He was born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 570AD
He was to be the last prophet decreed by Allah even before Adam,

Proof to the pagans of his prophethood.

And the night journey of Isra-wal-Miraj,
Whereby  he was only prophet who saw Allah with his physical eyes.
Even in his physical form he was
unique,
His sacred body never cast a shadow,
He was always taller than the tallest person who stood beside him,
He could see behind and in front of him,
He never yawned,
His sweat smelled of Kasturi Musk,the most fragrant attar in the world,
He could see in the dark without light.
Plants and animals talked to him,
A fly never sat on him.
Allah communicated with him in every form of wahi,
The Angel of Death sought his permission to take his soul.
He brought Islam,
The religion chosen by Allah,
Which Hussain kept alive till today by sacrificing his head and his family.
The religious,social and political tenets he established according to the Quran was Islam's foundation.
The Quran was revealed to him by Allah,
He received his first verbal revelation in the cave called Hira.
He is the most beloved of Allah,
He will be the first human being to be resurrected on the Day Of Judgement.

He came into my life,
He made me see stars,
The moon seemed enchanting,
The flowers bore exotic fragrance
The river of my life took a new course,
I gave myself completely to him.

He left abruptly,
No message, no phone call,
I heard he had found another.

To him women were toys,
To play around and discard,
Does he not know we have a soul too.

She is as beautiful as sunset,
Her cheeks two peaches,
With brown eyes like melting chocolate,
And a smile like glowing sunshine.
Kind and loving,
A look at her would remind you of a fragile flower,
But that is her facade,
She is a woman of power and great inner strength,
Hardworking and self dependent,
She is a fragile bomb.

I am truly blessed at fifty I still have my parents,
I am blessed they stay with me,
I get their blessings  everyday.
I am blessed I have time to see to my parents' welfare,
To take them to the doctor myself,
As they took me when I was a child,
Take them for a picnic or long drive,
Then to the icecream parlour for their favourite  milkshake,
The same one where they used to take me.
I am  blessed  I get a chance to talk to them everyday,
And when I look in their eyes I see the purest love.
My parents are my responsibility not my wife's,
I never blame her if she is unable to help out.
I have understood my parents do not need material things,
They need me to hold their hands and show I care,
I am glad my children are learning true values.
When the time comes and I see the empty chair I know I was a good son,
And blessed by my Lord.

I am in love!
The feeling is fantastic.
After being with my love
I can forgive anybody.
For a taste of my love,
I find life delicious,
I am the most sincere lover.
My love and humour keeps me alive,

But, when it comes to my love I am a whimper.
In my love's presence stress does not exit,
I breathe slowly,
I exhale slowly,
I take a deep breath,
To take in all the exotic flavours,
I enter into it with abandon.
Food, scrumptious  food,
My love, my heart,my soul,
My ultimate  happiness.
After a good meal,
I am as complete as after making beautiful love.

You left without a word,
It hurt,
I swallowed  it like a bitter pill.
I carry a fake smile,
I lead my normal life as if nothing has happened,
I tell one and all you are my past.
But, every evening I await for you at the front door,
Thinking why you have not come  as yet.

Prom night,
Fun, too much to drink,
Lust,
A quickie in the car,
I got stuck.
Both young,
Barely out of school,
Long way to go,
I, a mistake.
Tears and frustrations,
Family discussions,
Keep  or abort,
Final decision,
I, out.
What about me?
They never asked,
I could have been cute as a fawn,
Bright as a new dawn,
I would have loved the world,
Many stories I  had heard.
Now, I will be gone,
Not to be born,
Before it's too late.

I was a garden of pessimism,
Shrouded with toxic weeds of negative thoughts,
Always finding faults.
I thrived on them,
My spirit was contaminated,
Nobody dared win an argument with me.
Bringing down the staff at the office delighted me,
Finding faults at home made me feel like a Lion King.
I found pleasure in making them feel small,
Causing them pain.
Soon, I realised I had become a virus,
People started deleting  me from their lives,
My friends avoided me,
My family talked to me less and less,
My wife and children left me,
I was shown my place.
I woke up!
I was being kicked out of their lives,
I was getting bored and lonely.
I had to change my attitude,
I  had to be firm with myself,
Give myself space to grow.
I threw out animosity,fear and judgement.
I began to think positive,
Sowed seeds of optimism,
Braised myself with compassion and love.
A fresh start,
Each minute, hour and day,
A new me,
I am there with people I love and care.

What is in my heart let me tell you today
I don't  need gold or silver ,
Neither do I need castles or cars,
Nor diamonds or pearls,
What is all that of use to me now,
With one leg in the grave,
All I need is lots of hugs and kisses,
And a simple WhatsApp everyday,
"I love you granny".
