Hey, I'm here
Bleeding in the deepest space of your heart
Can you feel me?
Here, come closer
let me whisper you a secret
You see, time doesn't fly in my galaxy
it's frozen after you left me
guess you've cast a charmed
to keep my open flesh unarmed

So you've been here ridden on your bed
So alive and in pain just feeling dead
With thoughts crawling in your head
Wondering why It's you that's bled
So much in this God forsaken earth
Questioning every bit of your worth
So you've been lying here 'cause your leg
Present in its numbness is a mere peg
You're probably pondering the feeling
I have, wondering if It's as chilling
If seeing a friend like you lay helpless
Is touching as much or aches less
Well, I cannot begin to know your pain
But as a longtime friend and brother
It hurts watching you lie here rather
Than being with us out there roaming
The streets,I pray you get better so that once again
We can sweep the town in pride & go storming
Our usual pubs as we always did at dusk
I hope it really isn't too much to ask.
I've written this for James Eric, a friend whose leg as I have just discovered was operated but It's seemingly not getting any better .
I hope all of you join me in praying for him for he and his Mama have had lots of challenges, can't imagine adding on this too to the plate.

Through constant beatings
the wound that is my heart has managed
to coat itself numb.
My heart is a scab,
and it seems that all the world keeps
picking at it.
Scabs can't heal if you pick at them.

(This is my first ever attempt; please be kind.)

It wasn't tackled with a surgeon's finesse
But the battered brute of conviction.
I can still see the two man cross cut saw
Jammed deep in the bark - but a tickle.
A mail of thick branches disguised as
Dense fodder stood strong against waves.
Throwing everything at it - raining sawdust -
As the giggles were heard for miles around.
Now standing crippled, taunting as it sways -
The battle's won but the war will have its day.

There’s a hole in my heart
That I just cannot explain.
Like a gun shot wound
It leaves a scar that remains.

There’s a hole in my heart
That cannot be healed.
This feeling of emptiness, an open wound
That cannot be filled.

There’s a hole in my heart
That no one can see.
An enormous black hole
It devours all of me.

From it You came,
And because of it You live,
It awarded You Your existence,
And proceeds to give.

Invites You in its arms,
Is welcoming and warm.
Provides You with abundance,
Everyday offering more.

And what do You give back?
Besides tearing everything down
To utmost obliteration
Leaving an open wound.

You don’t stop to notice,
You preserve less and less,
And the weaker links
Are near the extinction process.

You continue the demolition,
For the „greater good“ You say,
Wiping out what’s left,
Until nothing feels the same.

I warn You, there will be a day
You won't be opening Your eyes.
There is a rule You can not change-
Without the greenery Everything dies.

The original sting stung worse than any hell I could imagine.
Then the pain eased for a while.
But what they don't tell you?
The wound can still hurt, even days after the bee has died,
Just for injecting his needle into your heart.

as vulnerable as an open wound
and love is dirt
if it gets in, it could potentially infect you
but if you have a strong immune system
everything will be alright.

take me to the river
and let the water rush
in torrents from the
tear ducts of the source
the spring gurgling up
with a frigid message
ground water from
aquifers of secrets and the
memories that you swear to me
don't exist anymore
yet play in the crystal clear
blackness of your
eyes
when your pupils disappear
and blend into the river
of your mahogany irises.

walk me to the water
with the lead around me
and the bit of your attraction
burrowing between my teeth
as i bite down and
grind my molars to the
pollen that leaves a yellow green
sheen on the
surface of your watering hole
pull me as i fight
raging against the magnetic force
that shackles me to you
and leads me to the light
at the end of the tunnel
even though i'm lost.

you can lead a horse to water
just like you can tie me to you
sew me into the
secret place of your heart
and incorporate me into
the intricate web of your
ecosystem
fed by the endless supply of
that water which
digs its claws into the sides of my throat
and coats my stomach with
a poison
that i welcome.

you can lead a horse to water
but you can't make me drink
you can move the mountain
and dry up
snow drifts that drip and
melt into a
band of wild horses running
downhill to tread upon
my ticky-tacky heart
but if i drink then i'm surely lost
the sutures between us
cut out to reveal
the nascent pink scar
puckered at the edges
that represents our connection
how easily it can be
torn asunder
and leave me bleeding
on the banks of your shore
while you float away
one with the waves.

how do you
bandage
the wound
if you
are not even
sure
where it is?
