I’m a sentinel, fair Romeo
- scanning the liquid dark,
and ready to whisper alarm
at the first sign of romance.
A sentinel in an empty land has little to do
Those quiet, moonlit truths
That you whisper
Through my hair
While we lay
In the arms of sleep
Swirl through my dreams,
Coils of sweet smoke
From the warmest of fires

My name lingered upon his lips
At midnight, he forgot
To whisper it three times
We had agreed to this arrangement
The clock sang out my farewell
And I fell apart, disassembling
Into a figment of regret

You pulled me in tighter
and calmly whispered to me
how scared you were
of going any further
because you didn't want to
fall victim to seduction
and lose control because
you love control.

We were laying in bed
and I was drowning in your gaze.
You wrapped your arms around
me and slowly whispered in my ear
that I was a national treasure to you.
You told me my essence,
my power, and my presence
overwhelmed you and that
I was your Niagara Falls.

'''Am standing on the rooftop
Soft spine whisper
"you don't have to watch the whole city alone anymore "
My head turns around
My man down there turns on
Women with soft voice and rousy cologne will be my death
But this time no-one is around😔
I guess am getting love sickness
I look at the moon and laugh'''

why are we
so crudely made
when placed along side
our conceptions of love

we fall miserably short
of caring, listening,
giving, receiving
yet in our dreams
there is no threshold      we must cross

the slip into love
is as effortless
as the moon's benediction
after an autumn night's
prolonged slumber

I'm not good with hello's or goodbyes
because when you are someone as invisible
as a whisper on the wind
as the atoms in our skin
or a melody trapped within
there's no one waiting to greet you
and no one there to leave you

I'm just a cellophane wrapped scream
waiting to be heard,
waiting to be seen

If I showed you my teardrops
Would you collect them like rain
Store them in jars
That are labelled with "Pain"
Would you follow their tracks
From my eyes down my cheeks
As they write all the stories
I'm too scared to speak
Would you stop them with kisses
Bring their flow to a halt
As you teach me that pain
Isn't always my fault
Would you hold my face gently
As you dry both my eyes
And whisper the words
"You're too precious to cry"
If I showed you my teardrops
Would you show me your own
And learn though we're lonely
We're never alone

Whisper out your heart my beloved!!
For I shall bear it with laugh,
If what thou tongue voice is hatred,
And laugh I shall gladly,
If Cupid has decided it to be blessed.

Whisper out your melodies my beloved!!
Tainted with reminiscence of tragedies,
But still it ought to be laughed,
To close thy scars damped with tears.
Fie the smiles harbouring cries.

Whisper out our stories my beloved,
And I intent to hear with interest,
For my love is no jest.
But if I art thou jester,
Then jest I shall till thee groan with laughter.

Whisper out something my beloved,
Devoid emotion your face portrays.
Why do you feel so cold?!
Wake up love and do tell,
Will you not whisper me farewell?
All thats left was a farewell.
