the car wash plays music over two tiny, square speakers, one mounted to either side of the vending machines.
It usually plays modern pop music hits and misses,
But today it's playing Elvis.
Today it's playing Suspicious Minds.
Today the sun is shining and the sky is blue.
All the washing stalls are occupied.
Silver, blue, and two black cars are getting clean today.
And I sit across the lot, waiting to work the rest of my shift,
Watching the day turn,
As House of The Rising Sun begins it's turn on the car wash loudspeakers.

let go of the things not meant for you,
but hold on tightly to the things that are.
allow yourself to feel the pain when your heart biffs it,
but don’t let the pain hinder your growth.
you are an open wound.

the rain will sting.
but the blood will always wash away.

You washed me in your ****** rain
so soaked into my core
taking all the ****** parts
and sewing up the place they tore

Now all I need is crystal clear
the daily rain of words
to keep me clean
and wash the skin
that's healing cold and sheer
Washed white as snow
I cry when I
   die
I weep when I
   leep
I am dead
I am fallen
Dead to sin

You will not win
For the victory is
already won.
Glory be to God!
Author of life!
Giver of freedom!

I cry when I
   sing
I weep when I
   believe
I am alive!
   for the first time
I owe it to Jesus
for he loved me.
This I know.

Rain  rain  go away
Come back  here  another day
Today I've *washed
my sorrows away
So rain feed my
misery
Another day

Do you know that feeling,
When hot water,
Feels cold?
That is like your love.

You give the illusion,
Of being good,
When deep down,
I know you're bad.

i haven't washed myself
in days

there's no point
because

it can't be washed away
anyway.

I washed her
from my pillow-slips.

In a white plastic bucket
I soaked away her body's breath,
and with bleach removed
the evidence she had  left.

We snatched the time
to make our marks
with sweat and
firm commitments.

The stains on stolen sheets
proved easier to erase
than those she ground into
the fabric of my room,

I watched as
traces of our time
together
turned the water dark.
Ground dark commitments committed  bleach stolen wash washing washed white bucket stain stained grey love loss bed hurt rejection lover wet shower towel shower ceiling dresser woman we us cry smile

The more
I drank t-
he closer**
I felt to
Your ever
Lasting tide
It never died
But it did shrink
With every drop that
Hit my lips, my animosity

For you faltered next to the bottle.

Smaller and smaller until i couldn't

Feel you at all, the glass walls contai-

ning this liquid also trapping your w-

aves inside them. Before I tried to hi-

de them, from other shores, but now

I could not find them, not at my door

After a storm, not on my floor ready

To make me slip, i miss your tide

When i take a sip...................
