I wonder if you knew what a gem you are
Did you know thar you were going to bring a whole nation together?
You are beyond glorified
Your stark brown eyes, gentle smile and your uncreased milky skin
Bring your soul to life
We will forever want your side of the story
I wonder how you felt
When you realised it was all happening
When you screamed and hoped that someone would hear you
When the walls of that office caved in
Did you ask,"why me?"
You see Nene
You brought out
The truth
You remind us that all the beautiful girls of this country are not insignificant
You remind us that life is our birth right

The wind swept over the world.
The wind leapt over the fence and
out of the sea.

the wind whispered
into every ear,
hear it's coffin cacophonies
its

melodic misdirection.

The wind said
to suffocate before i
enter your home.

the wind said,
when i come,
drown. Never look up.
look into yourself they said,

but i am nothing inside,
my strength fails me,
my mind enslaves me,
i am my own enemy.

but in my cold nights,
a voice called.
the sun, said,
i watch over you,
the sun said,
don't i govern the night skies too?

the son. i meant,
the son. Mistaken for
no one,
for the poison,

when you are the breath
the breath
that evaporates the seas,
the breath
that suffocates the winds.

.... (to be continued?)

Where are you, my Victory?
I'm such a loser without you.
Fragile, as all things of value are, defines life
Small little things, we often overlook
Forgetting the context, we often realise
What makes up our existence?
Are we always chasing the unknown?
Swimming in a sea of feelings, trying to find the shore.

Trying to process these feelings
It never seems easy
What matters, in the end, is the conquest
Your name in a victory,
To help take meaning away
From all the wrong things you've done
Why do we even need anything
To feel satisfactory?

A sense of pressure puts us down,
Bringing upon a frown
On our fragile little faces
I thought I could be happy forever,
Rather than caring about expectations
Moving on rather than switching off
The past seems like yesterday
Hoping that this evasion from myself,
Will, in one way or other, finally pay off.

For one day I wish, to be as free,
to bear no arms, to be, just me...

Her soldier at night, advancing with pride,
I enter the fight, advancing in stride.
My brother he joins, the code of the core
shoulder to shoulder, like never before.

My brother in arms, halting in fear,
his weapon upon, for he who is near.
Aiming to you, his trigger to press,
sacrifice I do, I spring in distress.

My heart is hit, my chest is a burst,
I gave my blood, I said to be first.
Your eyes now widen, my light becomes bright,
taking the bullet, is my final goodnight.

As I rest, towards the sky,
feeling your pride, feeling your cry.
I hear you near, I feel your tear,
I believe in you, please bear no fear.

My heart is open, my eyes upon,
to be the fallen, when all is done.
And as my spirit, rises to heaven,
bow for me, for hour eleven.

I saved you dear, to save a life,
to save your fear, to save your wife.
I live with thee, within the valour,
I deliver to you, our brotherly hour.

I wish for one day, to be as free,
to bear no arms, to be, just me.
To remember the fallen, to pray for thee,
to remember they gave, including me.

My brother in arms, I hear your plea,
my wife is of trust, to you and me.
I remember you now, I remember in may,
for my tomorrow, you gave your today.

Honour our protector, upon as thee,
bear arms our saviour, Her Majesty.
Look to one, and smile with pride,
look for the hope, and smile inside.
The day has come, to be just free,
the day has come, to be, just, me...

Those who lack a common purpose,
A strong sense of fraternity,
Rarely shall be victorious
Against a common enemy.

Those who choose to work together,
  Who share responsibility,
Who unite in their endeavours,
Have much more hope of victory.

Within my hand I held it strong
Notwithstanding its weight prolonged
The burden carried, the weight parried
I wish I had but just some clarity

It was precious, precarious, and persuasive
My yearning for it was but invasive
Like the ring its presence grasped my mind
Was it really the type to be kind

Many have sought and called it mine
But only for a mere instance in time
Joyous contempt filled the others
Who were not blessed by Olympus’s mothers

Intangible yet it could still be held
Was it the fire which had really meld
The fortitude of its past successors
The pain incurred by its predecessors

If it’s Ares who carries, it’s very scary
Bide, the burden is deeply buried
Through thoughtful triumph will prevail
The victor who holds the true avail

Anchor

Lifes a restless sea
Waves forever rolling
Tossing against shores
Storms **** Sunshine
Birth and death

Bareboat at sea
Weathering its moods
Tossed and withered
Exhausted endless battles
Losing never winning

The boat leaks through time
Land never blooms
Sea begins laughing
For victories sure to win
Hopeless begins drowning

Unexpectedly Sunshine breaks clouds
Horizons mirage
Dare hope
Drifts through sea
Hope springing life

No boat, ship in calm sea floats
Sunlight surrounded
Warm, happy being
Embracing pull, gravity
Shining Love, compassion

My anchor forever becomes
Keeps the sea calm, at bay
Happiness at last
Victories won, safety waits
Heart and souls have joined
Rainbows anchor.
