There in the middle of the forest stands a massive tree, it's trunk and branches so white
It was as dazzling bright as the full moon in the darkest inky night
With leaves the brightest sapphire blue
They covered every branch and shined like the rarest jewel

It's where all the broken hearted go
To set beneath it's branches, and shed their tears of woe
The tears of sorrow is what waters this mighty tree
The agony gives life and color to the most beautiful leaves there will ever be

So if you come across this tree, or even seek it out
Linger for awail, look up at it's beauty that pain has brought about
If your heart is aching from loss, or from being broken
Cry, let your tears fall, let it be the token
Let it's magic turn your tragedy and agony
Into the rarest form of beauty this world will ever see
Make me a tree
See the beauty in my leaves
The age in my trunk
Sit under me and read a book
Have romantic picnics

The bite of a cobra
will not **** me.
The lightning has yet
to set fire to that tree.

The ocean has yet
to drown my frail soul.
The ball has not
been kicked into the goal.

The sun still has
yet to shine
onto this impure
soul of mine.

I climbed a tree
as you may have seen
to reach the sky
how I must try
limitless possibilities
yet limited capabilities
because when I passed the sky
I couldn't breath so in the vacuum I did die
Is the sky the limit or is death?
The kind that picks you up and drops you off in a different state of mind

The kind that leaves you lost in the right direction
it has unexpectedly taken

A kiss so purposeful and sound
Even the force of the wind nor the stares of passersby can break it

The kind of kiss the brain is stubborn to erase
because with every eighth minute
the present veers off its natural course
to travel back to that enchanting space

Back to him and me
planted in front of The Liberty Tree
Back to the heated discussion between lips
and to everything felt and poured out in our kiss

To hello and goodbye

To stoked intensity

And to the eloquent expression of elusive chemistry

there are moments where we wish we could alter the past, but we cannot. we can, however, alter the future; and we must. there's value in a work-in-progress, but there's no respect in being remembered as a never-was. hear the seraphs cry, band together and march on! don't dismiss the ocean because the waves are thick. appreciate the waves, with their constantly crashing, breaking against the beach, one after another, towards infinity. with enough time, they will move mountains. can we not do exactly the same? when histories unborn ask of your contribution, what excuses will you make? what could you possibly say? that you mistook the concept of breaking for the finality of broken? that the effort lost meaning because you had nothing to say? you may not feel the blood pumping through your veins now, but you will certainly feel when it stops. don't allow yourself to be a tree, fallen, roots torn asunder from such resistance in the face of winds composed of change. if necessary, be the lightning that starts the spark that turns this stubborn forest to ash. if it won't bend, be sure it breaks! we are not intimidated by the scope of all this rebuilding. cherish such confidence. cry it from the rooftops. if actions speak louder than words, be the most deafening noise anyone has ever heard.

First comes winter. The hardest to survive.
Cold and barren; the frost eats you alive.
Branches of hope bare; leaves of love decayed,
Around your heart and soul, you’ve built a barricade.

Next is the spring; winter gone at last.
The time for new life, no longer bound to your past.
Resilience gave you another chance;
You refuse to look back now, not even a glance.

Now the summer, best season of all.
You think you've moved on, standing proud and tall.
Growing and blossoming towards the sky,
Barely remembering the last goodbye.

Darker nights now autumn is here,
Doubts create fog this time of year.
Leaves of joy and fulfilment are furling and falling,
Memories of lost love you just keep recalling.

Then winter strikes again, but not quite as strong,
You wonder why you still haven’t moved on.
Reliving every mistake and regret,
The frost bites your skin. It won’t let you forget.

The seasons repeat until you become winterless,
Your bark has healed, you are finally splinterless,
Life now a lattice of long summer, carefree spring,
But occasionally the autumn may sometimes creep in.
Or so that is what I hear,
But I still have winter as part of my year.

I wish I was a big fat brown furry squirrel
Up in the walnut trees I'd scamper and twirl
Collect my delicious nuts for the frigid winter time
Invite squirrl friends over to party and dine
Take sweltering summer days to run, jump and play
Frighten some silly song birds along the way
No worries of the coming days
No bill collectors at the door to pay
To just live wildly free
Like nature was ment to be
Live out my life in a comfy hole I made in that old walnut tree
That tree was here in my grandpa's days, it's as sturdy as can be
In the winter curl into a warm ball and try to remember
Of where I hid my stash of nuts,  come December
I want to be a big fat happy squirrel
Never angain a sad woman-girl

An ant repeatedly told
she loved him so much,
he wasn't astonished a bit,
knew life was incredible
it's a pin point of *****
to dull the existential pain,
how would he forget this ant
if not an ancestor, she may become
a descendant, a bond for ages.

"The grain of sugar
you allowed me to take
made me look sweet as I
shared it with my buddies,
though you aren't aware of it"

A cloud told that
she once made him stand
under the umbrella of
her cool shade, and that
experience did transform her.
"So tired you were
your eyes were dreaming;
while being dismembered
by an adamant wind,
inch by inch, I struggled
to hold myself together
till you could find a
new shade, before I am dissolved
by external compulsion.
Those moments I lived for
the love of you, so pure
expecting nothing but
fulfilling my karmic, dictate,
gave me the insight,
to remain a cloud in spirit, ever
though not in my form any more.

Your songs of loneliness
made me overwhelm,
I am essentially water
that flows towards the ocean,
containing meanings dense
the song you have sung
in intense pain, was
an experience; walking through
glowing  embers of coal,
for all who commingled
with my flow to ocean."

The tree had a rare radiance
it told him pleased,"Like me
you too have the crown,
a cloud of dancing thought waves,
that has silver lines, all the time
you sit and contemplate,
Every one has a Buddha
reclining inside,if you care
to think the way out of all miseries
he would be awake and smiling,
the compassion incarnate.
I appreciated what you did
that marked, I thought
the beginning of the light
that drives the ignorance of
darkness out from mind.
I did it by showering flowers
were you aware?"

"Karuna" she whispered as if to
emphasize it's preciousness
"Compassion" is what the most,
the world now lacks"
It could make the world a garden of love,
That's what reflected on me
when you sat underneath me
and gazed in to the far galactic
turbulence that is a saga continues,
how many moments of gold,
we were gifted one by one!
"Karuna" is the jewel, the Buddha
the enlightened one's words
did sow in us, with the touch
of a transforming thunder."

Blast of bright flames
glowing in the horizon,
igniting the trees

A prayer to God
releasing celestial drops,
water saves the land.

Blowing is the wind
carrying seeds of new life
gently caressing

Today’s barren tree
tomorrow’s fruitful harvest
live expectantly.
It was such a pleasure to work as a part of a trio on this Poetry collaboration of Haikus with both Syd Rivers and Gwen Johnson who are both talented writers and great people too! Thank you, so much for working with me and for challenging me to work on something new to me the Haikus. It was so much fun! :)
