If a poet loves you,
Treasure every word
Of which falls from their dancing lips.

For they will be the one to engrave
Every syllable of your name
Into every crevice of their soul.

They will braid your everlasting joys and sorrows
Into beautiful intricate stanzas
Forever tattooed on their vibrant mind.

They will spend countless hours
Weaving together letters for the perfect "I love you"
Without ever using such words.

If a poet loves you;
You will be 'ever etched into their heart
By the ink of sweet eternity.

I remember Your whisper of love.
I remember Your sweet loving hands.
I remember how you carry me through
And tell me than in my heart is always You.

I remember those days where fear is nothing.
I remember those years where dream is a big thing.
I remember my thirst for true, genuine intimacy,
And how true love envelopes the whole of me.

*I treasure it all with joy and love.
But my favorite memory’s yet to come.

I go out, for once.
You appear before me and reach instantly for my beloved treasure chest, but I am uncomfortable. No means no tonight, as does it every other night.
You do not step back.
Only the chairs' arms are willing to support me, so my own small hand reaches for your twelve o'clock and now it is you who must flee.
The candles' tongues lick you on your way out.
Explicit.
Are you happy now? Where's your horse and carriage babe?
By the way, you dropped your ******* shoe.
Goodnight.
Hahahaha. Ha. Alcohol does good things to my brain. Good vibes.
Why wont you fly
Up in the sky
We're just passing by

Make the most of your time
As you hear the bell chime
It may be the last verse of your rhyme

Tomorrow is unpredictable
A time we cannot be despicable
For we must treasure the unbelievable
Do you believe in YOLO? If yes... Then you must live each day as if it were the last. :)

I have a brain that functions well
With the occasional destruction

I have a mind that likes to dwell
Leaves me in the wrong junction

I have a body, but more of a shell
the self-portrait doesn't look so swell

As much as I despise 'em
My features are my treasure

I must love them all
In a healthy fashion

Because I am...

Human.
more lyrical than poetic. I feel this represents a journey of mine; to self-love.

imagine a world without mirrors
there'd be no judgment of others based on ourselves
and no judgment of ourselves based on others
imagine a world without mirrors
our souls would be the tools with which we'd perceive
not our eyes
imagine a world without mirrors
scratches, marks, burns and scars
would be treasured as symbols of strength and sacrifice
imagine a world without mirrors
we'd look deeper than the mere facades of our exteriors
into the intrinsic complexities and marvels of the heart
imagine a world without mirrors
our childhood innocence would remain
but our naiveties would fall away
imagine a world without mirrors
we'd behold our sisters and brothers in grace and awe
we'd behold them with love
I don't know why, but I keep asking myself what the world would be like without mirrors

As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.

Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.

From there it's no place for the meek,
The end is ever drawing nigh;
There'll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.

If you've been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease,
But tarry scant with marvel gaze,
Just take the chest and go in peace.

So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
The answer I already know,
I've done it tired, and now I'm weak.

So hear me all and listen good,
Your effort will be worth the cold.
If you are brave and in the wood
I give you title to the GOLD.
I found this on the net. But it was worth copying.
Guarding what it truly loves
A dragon treasures gold
Jewels and plundered *****
Deep down inside it's hold
A dragon guards it's one true love
Fire breathing, blooded ....cold
My woman has a dragon
Here's your warning...you've been told

Real or just imagined
My woman has a dragon
Deep inside,
How she feels

Real or just imagined
My woman has a dragon
You may laugh
But, I know that it's real

Guarding what it truly loves
A dragon treasures gold
Jewels and plundered *****
Deep down inside it's hold
A dragon guards it's one true love
Fire breathing, blooded ....cold
My woman has a dragon
Here's your warning...you've been told

Her heart burns like a fire
set by dragons breath no less
it's an inferno like no other
i have felt it...i confess

Don't ever cross that dragon
and go to where it lies
I have seen the dragon's fire
Coming deep from in her eyes

It's a mine field of surprises
An act of balance every day
Do you tempt what it is guarding
or do you let the dragon stay ?

Real or just imagined
Your woman has a dragon too
I can tell, because I've seen it
And her dragon's guarding you

Wrinkle, crinkle, pimple,
bruise;
but our sight remains, of that,
we have nothing to lose.
Or don't we, for the
irises too;
they carry a weight
we can only hope
to be able to
endure.
And they hold, the
sights
that most would so wish to forget
And they hold, the
nights
that pain took its best
bet,
and they hold all that
I
wish to forget
but my eyes, they hold on
to the pain
and regret

but the happiness too, those
treasured few,
moments so precious
that they slip out of
reach,
but our eyes are there, holding on
to the memories
