More to her revelation
Speak words not wonder
I cannot I'm lost with all
Oh, she
Oh, her
Please, see for yourself
When you lift the pressure
With puffs of marijuana
I simply see her in my mind
And everything stays calm
A single piece of beauty
A master piece of art
A mystery none could solve
Her smile could lift my soul

We as writers have the ability to do many things.
We know how to change the tenses of many different words,
Such as love becoming had loved
And together becomes we were together.
We have the knowledge to change things
From the affirmative to the negative,
Such as we’re in love
To she isn’t in love
Or she is always by my side
To I rarely see her anymore.
We can combine the two
To change something that is happening
To something that might have never even happened,
Such as how will always be in love
Changes to were we ever in love?
And how I love you
Could be flipped to ask
Didn’t you ever love me?
Inspired by many memories from many people. This idea has been occupying space in my head for a few days now... This is the release I have found for it.

buzzing with aggression
rigid with tension

you still get angry
when you are hungry
you waited outside class;
smiled at me as we intersected paths
we are annoyed
at a new girl in philosophy class
we are happy
when we drink on friday nights
we are happy
when we go on our car rides

i like this thing
we are happy.
this is in reference to my earlier poem, past tense. It can be found here: https://hellopoetry.com/poem/1897149/past-tense/

you got angry
when you were hungry
you used to be sad
when our paths did not intersect
we were annoyed
at the same girl in philosophy class
you were happy
when we got to watch movies together
we were happy
sharing secrets and fundamental truths

but that's the thing.
we were happy.

A balanced boy he was,
the equal of all neutrality,
yet she was enough to make him wild.
~~ Let me turn you to stone. ~~

The thought of you
An uncertain utopia
Shaky and tense
To me makes little sense

The way you look at me
I come undone upon the seems
Holding and gripping
To keep my sanity is crippling

You say you can love me from a distance
But take this for instance
If I said good riddance
Would you see me as the menace?

She was so beautiful,
Yes, she was gorgeous.
But then she was young,
Yes, when she was young.
She was really very strong,
Yes, she was really stronger.
But so sad, all is in past tense,
She turns so badly treacherous.
Kissed me in the dark secretly,
Such a fickle hearted beauty.

Because of me.* She let me stand, snow falling off my bare legs like a shower of ash. Because of us.
What us is there left to lie about... My legs tensed to run. **Who can lie about what is in plain sight?

Clinging to PAST TENSE
Trying for FUTURE PERFECT
Making all PRESENT TENSE
