I weigh a little over a hundred pounds
and some say, I do not weigh enough
my steps do not sink deep enough
“You weigh nothing”
“I could just carry you around”
Someone could easily lift me
When I’m carried,
Suddenly, weights combine and their footprints become more
defined
But it’s not my steps, I do not leave anything behind
And I think
Not enough of me exists
To make an impression

My three-phrase advice:

Have a *goal
.
Make your steps.
Find motivation.
For the lost, confused, for you, for me, for us.

Watch out
She's five steps from the river

I'm so ugly
She thinks

Now she is
Four steps from the river

I'm so stupid
She says to herself

Uh oh
Now three steps from the river

You're not normal
Someone says

And pushes her
Two steps from the river

A laugh in the back
At her presentation

Quick, help her
She's one step from the river

And as someone says
You're not wanted here

She takes the final step
Zero steps from the river

She's gone
With each step I take,
I seek to move closer,
because you are the linchpin of ultimate knowledge and wisdom,
but each step has its own caveat,
So excuse me for all past, present and future missteps.

I am a victim of my own vices,
and the sources of my action or inaction,
scares me deep inside,
because I know what they perpetuate,
So I ask of you,
Provide me a right step for each right step,
and forgive me for each wrong step,
despite the judgement of others,
because I yearn to return home,
just like all the other travelers.

We fall down the steps
we worked so hard to climb.
Gone,
destroyed,
in minutes.
Power to the few,
Power over the many,
to control their destiny,
to chose their fate,
while they fly on the wings of desire.
All we can do is
get back up
and fall
again.

Freckles on your face,
Sunshine in your smile,
Promises made on your pinkie,
Memories in your mind,
Steps taken with your soles,
Hands are being held,
Adoration gleaming in your eyes.

While it may be,
That you take
One step forward,
Then two steps back,
At least you're moving,
Right?
Thought I should post something happier....

Let us dance
though the evening.
My steps may
be off, and I might
have two left feet
but as you roll me
through these sheets
the dance we make together
will be the best dance
I've ever danced.

you washed the salt out of my eyes
you stomped your feet, refused goodbyes
you burned my books when I tried to write
and set up traps to catch me in the night

I followed your steps up to the cliff
and tried to recall how it felt to live
before this cage of you that I elated
when this infinity could not be sated

So many steps seen from where I stood
so much bad diminished so much good
and those lies were always easier to tell
before that mention of where he fell

A push that was but kinetic emotion
who cried the tears, formed the ocean?
Your own were dried long before this last
and your steps have penned me in the past.

as I wander by the sea
   footsteps filling gaps once there-
no longer- other footsteps fade
   like stories - storyteller
I become as I draw nearer and nearer
and yet never in its grasp
it merely sweeps my soles with awe
   like a lover without solace
going on about beneath
   the many suns of time
and I drift further in the wake of dawn
as to watch bone turn into sand

to fill the void of lined up steps
i walk again to never turn my eyes towards
the longing limbs of foam

Lover of the sea.
