everyone preaches about the tragedies life has to offer
they go on about how it's okay to feel down and to it's okay to not be okay
but no one talks about how to glue the pieces back together once you've had enough time broken apart
it's not quite about smiling through the pain to convince yourself that you're okay
but rather smile through the pain to remind yourself that you will be okay
smile through the pain to help you heal and become okay
it's hard
it's one of the hardest things to do, in fact
you get into a routine of laying in bed all day
not eating or eating way too much
not sleeping or sleeping way too much
losing contact with your friends or being unable to be alone
it's **** near impossible to turn those habits around
and suddenly you're overwhelmed because there's just so much that you can't control
but take deep breath, put a smile on your face, and say "one day, i will be okay"

I like to bask in
the good memory and kiss
the bad one goodbye

A bird sang bright and early.
Sweet melodies and a hopeful song.
It sang that all things change eventually,
“Soon. It won’t be long”
With time comes change and at times better circumstances.

the fragile morning seeps
her shadowing sunlight into my morning coffee cup, staining the walls of its home dark.
i sip on her effortlessly, her warmth a flowing melody against the chaotic prance of my pulse.
I close my eyes & let her wander.

a world destined with a tint,
with a filter,
life that’s given
to be a film,
played after your death,
would your life
be
In colour
or
black and white?
only black & white
because all
You remember doing is
nothing
Where your own
world crumbles &
falls apart,
That your own film
becomes a sight of depression,
beckoning behind you
So gleam
like our eyes gleam
to see colour
Be vibrant,
Be bright,
Different,
Outbursting,
Unique,
Extravagant,
Exquisite,
Exotic,
So your life
Is your favourite film
Filled with lifelong colours

If our mind is full of prejudice
truth will not enter in
Nothing is messier and confused than that

The mind of a child is a wonderful thing
full of confidence & potential
No hate, fear, judgement and pride
It's their influences that destroy it...

Don’t be difficult to accept new lesson
We can control however,
when the blind wants to enter
We should fix it, not hate it.
Open your mind, your heart will follow :)

and just like that, she realized
she was the love she longed for
-
we accept the love we think we deserve
without realizing we have the entire universe within our souls
