Winter Jan 2021
At the top of the world
my inferno swells
consuming
the masquerade
of my blood heart
once, founded upon red mountain
I lost myself
in billows of black,
my sordid hands
slipped
through the sands of time-
a pyramid of translucent rage
within
my whimsical mind
pathed an oblivion
spiraling
down
to the depths of the sea.

There my soul awaits
slain,
encapsulated by
ice and a curse-
forever, he writhes trapped
in shards
of tormented black
glass
they cut
cut
cut
his frosted wings dead
eaten alive
by
living sea bed
yet
the shadow of his touch
still
crystalizes
my fear.

Then alone
we atone

so emboldened
his & my
****** & pulse
wrapped in rebirth
we rise
to blinding lights
longing
to taste
world's end-
before our
blank
utopia
begins
with song
in C-minor.

Sin Jan 2021
Abandoned by the cold hands of love
Feel the ice flowing into my heart
Dearest winter why thou do you cull
My sunshine for your soul

Tis it not enough the trees lay bare
And the ground becomes barren
Songs of the winter thrush do pierce
The stillness of your
Chilling breath

I see you cry icicles
As lonely your heart doth bare
Just let me hold you close
To dream of summer fair

For now my winter
I must hide
Beneath skins of great brown bears
Until you fall in love with me
Your ice I shall replace with warmth
And love you
With heartfelt care
uselace Jan 2021
beneath me ice gives way-
i give up hope of day,
as i descend into the darkness

the edges start to fray
i fall, away, away;
water swirls, cold and heartless

heavy the pressure weighs
my mind in disarray
in the midst of blackness i see Death;

yet my fate is delayed,
my body not decayed,
and i will take one more breath.
technically a follow-up to my last poem.
Flowing under winter
Is the warmth of a fading love
That once was on the surface
But now struggles to be shone

Cold hearts once bled red
Broken, they needed repair
Grey was too stiff for the aching heart
So blue was the color of the broken part

But Jotunheim and its giants can be melt
By the prowess of Asgard and its heroes
As the icy, depressive cover has formed
After the heart had been healed

So, many times passion becomes a fuel
To extinguish the fear of the person who never knows
And this gas perpetually ignites
And the water that once thawed the rime
Won’t remain covered, buried under ice

That is why love always resurfaces
With the heat of hope and will
Querying if the person the heart beats for
Doesn’t has her beating in sync, still

But like a snowflake, love falls in pieces
To find a place to regrow, as fear overpowers the fuel
Where memory and reluctance troubles the loving soul
While life seems dull to his aching state, as time never ceases

My appreciation for her burns wild
Maybe its youth that feeds the flames
Or the personality bonded to her beautiful name
But, which is enough to love her, the air that I inhale
Will soon be few as I drown in the water, doubting if “we” will ever be true
As the last poem of the third chapter, it establishes the war between love and hopelessness the speaker is caught between after his misadventures with Rose, Violet, and Obsidian Eye. Will his heart freeze solid? Or rather, can his heart become icy cold?

I love you when you're
Strings of caramel melting
Soft and warm and sweet
The History: You exist somewhere between solid and fluid.

Love sometimes is fire,
Sometimes ICE
but it sure burns
every time...

Her heart was cold
as ICE
so I borrowed the SUN

my feelings threaten to take hold of me
like frost to the ground
i know they’ll leave me frozen solid
