Self-loathing finally came to an end,
the stranger in the mirror is now my friend

For the price of patience
she was gifted with the opportunity to heal,
and received a foreign feeling in return for her strength;
the type of love
she had dreamt of.

be gentle with yourself;

your scars tell a story;
of survival;
of bravery;
of a new frontier;

your wounds will heal;
it may take some time;
but those scars are important roadmaps
to your body;

be gentle with yourself

Love is not supposed to hurt you, its supposed to heal you.
Love is supposed to enlighten you, not consume you.

Love is not supposed to hurt, its supposed to feel like magic.

I wish to heal, not get burned again

I wish to not re-open my wounds,

But rather let old scars fade

I don’t want to be unhappy

I have the privilege of knowing where my happy place is

Alas, there I cannot go, here I must reside
sometimes our safe haven is temporarily closed, so where do i go?

The nights heal what the days have hurt,
the days hurt what the nights have healed
Do you like grand verbose and intricate rhyme schemes in poetry or it's not necessary?

You broke my heart
It’s hard to fix gold
But in the end, it’s still worth the same

I wear a sweater no
matter the weather

It keeps me warm
and hides my shame

Sometimes I forget
what my arms look like,
but every time I try to look

I see only the scars that has
slowly healed but never faded,
and I am reminded of my pain

And so I wear a sweater no
matter how hot the weather
I haven’t written anything in a month, I have lost my inspiration with all this chaos happening in the world. But today I write and hope my voice will be heard.  Stay safe everyone.
